The car stopped in front of Paige and she gave Joseph a hard glare. Meanwhile, he was grinning happily. The driver got down from the car and said, "Miss Anderson, please get in."

Paige ignored him. She gave Joseph one last glance and continued walking. Then a man's voice sounded from the car, "It's hard to get a taxi here. Come on, I'll send you home."

"It's none of your business, you shameless piece of sh*t!" Paige clenched her jaw in anger. How could he do this to her? He bullied her in the room and yet he was acting as nothing happened. It's so ridiculous!

"Don't tell me you're scared of me. Is that the reason you don't want to get in?" Joseph didn't care whether she was angry or not.

Paige gritted her teeth and opened the door. Seeing that she got into the car, Joseph signalled the driver to start the car.

Paige glared at Joseph, "Why did you do that just now?"

"What do you mean?" Joseph put on an innocent look.

"You're still pretending! You're unbelievable! I really want to..." Paige couldn't go on.

Joseph was too much. She had to stop being bothered about him.

She turned her head to look out of the window with a cold expression. Joseph leaned against the other side and stared at Paige with a faint smile in his eyes.

Paige couldn't stand it anymore and ask, "Why are you staring at me?"

"Because you are really pretty," Joseph replied with a smile.

She didn't know if he was flirting with her or not. But she thought he most definitely didn't mean to praise her.

He must have said this to many women, right?

She was not one of those women he knew outside. Paige was in a bad mood so she glared at him fiercely and continued to look out of the window.

Joseph looked at her pursed lips and wondered to himself. Was she angry again?

But he didn't say anything offensive! Why did she get mad after getting complimented?

He was confused. Women were really complicated!

He didn't realize that she was so easily angered back then. He used to be able to coax her with a kiss or a hug!

Joseph reached out to grab Paige's hand, but Paige shook it off,
