The Last Ceo’s Deal

A sweet name

A DEAL WITH THE CEO

Third Pov

His world shattered at her request and everything in him broke.

He swallowed hard and stared at her in shock as if he didn’t hear what she said.

“I want.. to go home for a few days. I know it’s totally against the contract but I miss my mum. Can I bend the rules this once.” Christine asked, feeling more guilty at his reaction.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

She needed to be home, at least a week with her brother and mum.

Aside from missing them, she just wants to stop this strange feeling cursing through her whole body.

Maybe avoiding him for a day would make her forget a lot.

“Fine.” He said kissing her hair, at least she wasn’t leaving or requesting to leave him.

“For how long?”

“A week.” He gritted his teeth and nodded at her.

She was avoiding him and it hurts him so much not to even know the reason.

He thought he could try and give her the space she needed but he was going crazy with worry and fear with every passing day.

What did he do wrong? He thought so badly that his heart ached.

Was she being angry for what he did in the past? Was she just realizing that all of a sudden and felt she shouldn’t be with someone like him?

He asked her countlessly but she just smiled and told her she was fine, it’s nothing.

It’s a big deal to him!!

He sent four of his men to take her safely to her house. Watching her leave sent his heart crashing, he was really scared that he thought she was fleeing. But he needed to trust her that she wouldn’t do so.

The moment he entered inside everywhere suddenly felt cold and empty.

He sighed at how attached he had been with Christine and cursed himself for causing her pain in the first place.

Mrs Gracia was totally shocked on seeing her daughter as she hugged her and cried.

She was still her usual self and nothing has changed except for her daughter who was glowing.

“Did you get into trouble? Why are you here, is Fanuel aware that you’re here?” She asked endlessly and Christine rolled her eyes.

“I’m good mum, he let me come around but I will be going back in a few days.”

“Oh Christine, come over here.” She hugged her mum again and she went to her room while she followed suit.

“Get some sleep okay, we’ll talk in the morning.”

Her mum said and she nodded wondering if she would have any sleep.

Her room looked empty but the beautiful design was still there. Her little table with her lamp still

stood and lay by the side of her bed and the baby big bear was sitting staring right at her face with those puppy eyes.

She sighed and carried the bear, hugging it tightly and thought about Fanuel. She wondered if he slept well or if he had eaten.

Her door burst open and Easton stared at her in surprise.

“I didn’t believe mum.”He said and Christine chuckled.

He went to the bed and hugged her, throwing the silly bear away.

“What the heck are you doing here pumpkin?”

“I missed you guys a lot.”

“I know but is Fanuel aware?”

“Yeah, he is.”

He stared at Christine not believing her.

“I didn’t run okay, he asked his men to even follow me if you had seen them outside. I just needed some alone time.”

“If you say so, though I’m wondering what you did that he let you go easily. I haven’t heard from Dee, where’s she?”

Her blood stiffed at the mention of Diana, that betrayer who had fled after spiking her drink and doing a lot of despicable things.

“I haven’t been with her.” She blurted out as if she laid a curse.

“She had been coming around you know, I just haven’t collected my drive from her . She promised to return it.” She gasped.

“What drive?”

“The one I use for my Laptop, is anything wrong? You don’t look pleased.

“You shouldn’t give her your stuff easily, Easton!! She’s not to be trusted.”

“Okay, I don’t understand.”

“Just don’t trust her, simple! I need to sleep.”

“Whatever, I’m just glad you’re here. Let’s flee to Chicago, we can find dad, threaten him and collect some cash before traveling out of this country.”

“You’re high, get out of my room!”.

He chuckled and kissed her before leaving.

It’s been two days since she arrived. She was totally disturbed and couldn’t even concentrate on anything.

It was just a day and she itched for Fanuel. She was sick, worried about him and wondered how he was faring.

Easton kept her a huge company as he showed her his tech room as he had described and she was amazed.

Jayden was really heaven sent.

Three sets of huge computers lay neatly on the table with different cables connecting to them and all manner of electronic gadgets were plastered on the wall.

The projector was huge and she wondered why Easton would need all of these just to find one person.

It was a waste of resources.

She was absent minded in the games she played with humans Easton kept on winning.

After retiring to bed that night, her mum sneaked in.

“You didn’t have to do that mum”

“I knew you weren’t asleep.”

She sat up frowning and gazws at her mum who sat by the edge of the bed.

“You haven’t slept for the last two days Christine.”

“That is not true mum.”

“Yeah, cause you badly miss him.”

She choked on her saliva glaring at her mum.

“What do you mean by that?”

“Christine, you’re in love with that CEO guy and you want to fight it.

You’re here because you feel you can wave it off.”

“Mum!”

“Christine, I’m your mother and I’ve been here before even though I was foolish but that guy wouldn’t just let you go if he isn’t in love with you.”

“Why are you siding with him? I thought you hated his guts .”

“I’m not siding with anybody and I still hate his guts, I’m just worried about you?”

“I’m scared mum”

“I know but you’re going to hurt yourself and hurt him for not trying to trust each other and understanding what you both want.”

“He likes me a lot but I just doubt it, I feel he’s going to change anytime and everything is too good to be true.”

Her mum sighed and stared at her.

“As long as he treats you right and cares about you, there is nothing to be scared of. I even heard he sent his ex packing from the house.”

“Jeez?! How do you know that?”

“New flies hun, but his brother was here. A very sweet calm soul that cared about you also.”

“Jayden!” She smiled.

“That’s a sweet name for a sweet soul, he looks cute too. You should get some sleep hun, it’s late”

Christine nodded and thanked her mum with new waves of feeling over Fanuel. She realized how much she has hurt him by distancing herself from him and leaving him in myraid of thoughts and confusion.

Without caring about the time she picked up her phone and dialed his number.
