The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 580

Chapter 580

Meredith didn't expect Easton to understand what she said.

In fact, she just didn't know how to explain to a five-year-old child the problem between her and Derek,

so she could only tell him that.

It was very likely that she would never be as good as Derek was. After all, Derek's starting point was

much higher than the average person. So it was very likely that no matter how hard she tried, it

wouldn't work.

Meredith thought about it and felt a little upset. Then, she thought about her background.

Perhaps, with the help of the Smith family, she could achieve this goal.

But She didn't do it out of pride. Also, the fact that her biological mother would rather give her to

someone else than let her go back to the Smith family showed that things were definitely not that

simple.

So, Meredith never thought of using the power of the Smith family.

"Is it when you're as famous as dad, and everyone knows you, that you want to be with dad?"

That was all Easton could understand.

"Sort of. I have to wait at least when your grandmother doesn't belittle me any more and stops finding

some strange woman to be your stepmother."

Hearing this, Easton suddenly seemed to understand something. "I see. Then I support you, mom."

He still didn't understand why Meredith was so insistent. However, if it made grandma stop bringing

women he didn't know into the house, he thought her persistence made sense.

Meredith heaved a sigh of relief when she heard Easton say that.

"Then don't think too much. Go to school and don't fall behind, okay?"

At the mention of his studies, Easton could not help but feel guilty.

Fortunately, Meredith didn't see him throwing away his homework today. Otherwise, he would definitely

suffer.

"Got it, mom."

After Easton said these, Meredith left with satisfaction.

Seeing this, Fiona walked into Easton's room with Easton's homework in her hand. "Here's your

homework. I can't take it. You should go on with your homework."

Easton looked at her and was speechless. "Didn't you say you wanted to take it away? Why did you

bring it back?"

"I heard what Aunt Mer said. She told you not to fall behind. How can you keep up if you don't do your

homework? Well, let's do it together. I'll write the answers on paper, and you'll write them on your

exercise book, okay? You're so smart, and you'll definitely do it."

Easton looked at Fiona's serious look and had only one thought in his heart, "What she said is so

reasonable that I'm speechless..."

"Well then..."

Easton was also stressed by Fiona's serious gaze. If he refused, it would appear that he was very

stupid, so he took back his homework.

They sat in front of a large desk, each writing their own answers and occasionally talking.

After Meredith came out of Easton's room, she called again to ask how Penelope was doing. When she

came back, she saw that Fiona wasn't there.

She then found the two kids sitting together and seriously writing something on the exercise book. She

couldn't help but smile.

Suddenly she didn't want the little girl to leave. After all, Easton never liked to do his homework.

Meredith could not help but smile. She did not disturb the two children's study and quietly returned to

her room.

She was gonna have someone find out about Fiona's biological mother.

The next morning

Easton got up from the bed and stretched himself.

He didn't finish his homework until ten o'clock yesterday, and he was tired out. At least he had done

most of the homework he left behind.

He was extremely smart and a fast learner.

Easton looked at the homework on the desk with satisfaction, took out his cell phone, and planned to

play for a while before getting up.

As soon as he turned on the mobile network, a flood of news came in.

Easton's expression changed immediately.

The headlines were all about Derek.

"Derek went to Capital City for more than a few days to run after her?!"

"The president of the Xavier Group will announce a marriage with the Smith Group today. It's an

alliance between giants!"

A lot of messy news made Easton hold the phone tightly in his hand. Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

What the hell was going on?

Easton thought, "Evelyn is so annoying! And why does dad keep getting involved with her? Is he doing

this because my relationship with mom is so good?"

Easton held back his anger and continued to read all the news. "Maybe the reporters made it up. That's

what they like to do."

Easton comforted himself, but when he saw those photos, he couldn't calm down.

In the photo, Evelyn and Derek were very close. The woman's body weight was almost all on the man.

Evelyn clung to Derek. Her breast was rubbing the man's arm. They were very intimate.

"What the hell is going on?"

Easton immediately called Derek.

He didn't know if his mom was mad about it, but he was furious now.

It was a waste of his efforts to reconcile them. Wasn't that an internal contradiction?

When Derek received the call, he had just come out of the bathroom and saw that it was Easton's

number, so he answered it directly.

Easton showered a lot of questions upon Derek, "Dad, what the hell are you doing? Do you really want

to find me a stepmother? Are you in love with Evelyn? What's on your mind?"

Even though Derek had always been calm, he was still somewhat puzzled by the questions. "What are

you talking about? When did I..."

"Read the news. Today's front page is occupied by you and that woman. Mom probably hasn't read it

yet. When she reads it, I won't be able to help you."

Easton looked helpless. Why did these grown-ups bother him so much?

Hearing Easton's tone, Derek knew that he was not joking. He opened the web page and took a look.

The man's face darkened.

All this fucking news was bullshit.

However, the angle made them look so intimate in the photo.

Although Derek immediately dodged it after he caught on, that was not what the photo showed.

"I'll get someone to take care of it right away. And this photo was taken by the paparazzi on purpose. I

didn't do anything I shouldn't have done and I'm faithful to your mom."

Derek explained it to Easton very seriously.

Hearing his tone, Easton heaved a sigh of relief. "Then I'll try my best to keep mom from using her

phone. Dad, delete those news quickly."

Derek immediately agreed, and then checked who had issued the news.

The man's brow furrowed deeper.
