While Frank was surprised by Juno's advice, he said, "Understood. Thank you, Clarity."

As Frank hung up and mused to himself, Vicky asked, "Is her information reliable, Frank?"

She did not seem worried that another woman called Frank darling, as he was clearly formal and deliberately distant.

"The Bearons...?" Frank mused to himself, and suddenly remembered the rich kid who tried to molest Winter Lawrence just yesterday.

His last name was Bearon, and he was bragging about his father being one of Zamri's Three Bears.

It certainly connected the dots, but while Frank nodded, he was soon puzzled.

If they were after him, the Bearons should go after him personally-why mess with some fringe Lanecorp personnel?

That was unless they were after Lanecorp in the first place.

Also, there was the additional information Juno just provided-the Lionhearts sending a mysterious elite to the Bearons' residence. That only confused Frank further.

"What are we going to do?" Vicky asked. "Swift vengeance like right now?"

"Nope." Frank waved her off. "We don't know what they want. Firing blindly would only startle them and make them wary-I'll be bait instead."

He met Vicky's worried look and smiled. "Also just happened to agree with Gene Pearce to purchase one of the Bearons' properties. It's not far from here, and I was going to meet up with the owner. If they're after me, they would show up there When I do. But if they ignore me..."

"That means they're after Lanecorp instead," Vicky finished, but she sighed worriedly. "Aren't you putting yourself in harm's way, though?"

"Don't worry." Frank grinned. "I've improved again, and now, I might even say that there's not many in Draconia who can defeat me, unless Simon Lionheart himself is waiting in the Bearons' residence."

Vicky giggled at that. "No way! But you have to be careful, Frank."

She remained worried, but she understood that the women behind a man should not stop him when he was working.

Understanding that, and seeing that Frank was determined, she did not try to talk him out of it.

"Yeah!"

Frank nodded and added, "I'll have everyone from the health and security department come over and protect Lanecorp. This place would be fine if they're after me, but they'll come if they're after Lanecorp in the first place once I leave."
