Chapter 2045
She'd been sucking up to Clark for a good seven or eight years, only to be dumped by him just last week!
She was drop-dead gorgeous, a fashionista decked out in international brands, while Clark was nothing but a nobody, living it up on his family's dime!
Isabella couldn't get a foot in the door with the Sinclairs, so she thought she'd play nice with Clark, marry into his lavish lifestyle, and live the life of a wealthy housewife. Not a bad plan.
But to think, even someone like Clark didn't want her!
And then there's Thalassa, what's so special about her? Plain Jane, not into dressing up, yet she managed to snag Lysander, a true catch! Jealousy was eating Isabella up from the inside.
If she could, she'd love to kick Thalassa to the curb and run off to city hall with Lysander herself!
"Watch your mouth!" Lydia couldn't take it anymore, ready to give Isabella a piece of her mind.
Thalassa stopped her, blocking Lydia with one hand to keep her from acting rashly, and with the other hand casually tucked in her coat pocket, she looked Isabella straight in the eye, "You probably can't even have kids anymore, can you? After how many times you've had abortions for Clark? Can you even get pregnant?"
Thalassa's voice was soft, but her words cut deep.
Isabella felt like she'd been stabbed in the heart, furious and pained.
Her face twisted in anger, she rolled up her sleeves, "Thalassa, are you asking for it?"
She took a step forward, but Lydia was already there, shielding Thalassa, her presence fierce, "Go ahead, make my day!"
Isabella's bravado deflated in an instant.
She had been all talk about calling the cops on Lydia for not laying a hand on her. But now, if she threw the first punch, Lydia would be in the right for defending.
She wouldn't gain anything from it.
After a tense stare-down with Lydia, whose gaze was full of strength, Isabella backed down, her raised hand falling to her side.
She snorted disdainfully, "Thalassa, you're just someone else's replacement. What's there to be proud of?"
Thalassa unfazed, "You should
worry about yourself. Lydia's a
doctor, if you ever want kids, maybe she can help you get your health in can
order. I'd advise you not to make an
enemy out of everyone."
With those words, Thalassa walked away, unwilling to waste more breath on Isabella.© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
Isabella's heart was pierced once again, a mix of pain and anger.
After almost a decade with Clark,

would be hard to conceive again.
She was left with a broken body and nothing but her looks, how could she ever find someone decent?
This was her most helpless and powerless moment.
Thalassa's every word struck her where it hurt most, driving her mad with rage.
If Lydia weren't there, she'd have slapped Thalassa hard to vent her anger.
But Lydia was Thalassa's childhood friend, fiercely protective of her. And with Lydia's strength, Isabella didn't stand a chance.
Even filled with rage, she had to swallow it.
Thalassa made her miserable, but she wouldn't let Thalassa have the last laugh!
Staring at Thalassa's retreating
figure, she sneered, "You think I'm
lying? Go ask around. Joshua had a daughter Harper, who was Lysander's childhood sweetheart, his true love. Harper died in an accident. And you, my dear bear a striking resemblance to ber."
Thalassa, on her way out, suddenly stopped in her tracks.
