The Billionaire's Regret

Chapter 198

Chapter 198

‘No one, not even Daddy, can take away my Pretty Lady,’ Pierce reasoned. Wyatt’s face lit up with a light and warm smile when he saw this. Wyatt suddenly felt that Pierce was no longer such an eyesore as it had been. “Don’t get angry, Mr. Seely. Your son has always been this way. He’s modeled on you.” Marco was rendered speechless. Before he could say anything, Pierce grabbed Ivy’s hand and stormed away in a rage. Ivy pursued the boy until he came to a halt and panted. “Pretty Lady, which of us three big men treats you the best?” Pierce’s bright, clear eyes blinked, and he said the most innocent words. His sapphire eyes shone with purity. Ivy was taken aback. “Three gentlemen?” 'Pierce, Wyatt, and Marco?' She had no idea what Pierce was thinking, but she persisted in coaxing him. “It’s you, of course!” Pierce laughed happily and proudly patted his chest. “There’s no doubt about it! I’m the greatest! They’re both ugly, stingy, and old, so they can’t compete with me!” Ivy nodded. “You’re correct!” Pierce stepped forward, a little shyly, and took her lovely hand in his. “Then… Please wait for me to mature. We’re going to be together forever!” Ivy couldn’t stop laughing. ‘Pierce is such a sweetheart.’ She reached out and kissed his tender little cheek. “All right, I’ll wait for you to grow up.” Pierce gave her a warm hug and rubbed his head against her palm. He was overjoyed when Ivy returned Pierce to the group. Everyone went about their business as if nothing had happened. Apollo was pleased with the outcome of this journey. Ivy wanted to change her plans after Marco left in the afternoon. She suggested going to Sorrell Island.

Naturally, no one objected, so they all left on the same day. Sorrell Island, especially in this weather, was ideal for surfing. Unfortunately, Ivy was not in a good mood when confronted with Wyatt and Jimmy. The next night. The heat was blown away by the gentle breeze. So, because Wyatt owned the hotel where they stayed, it had been cleared out long before they arrived. While the rest of the group stayed at the hotel, Apollo went out to meet the locals. Ivy was dressed in a light apricot long gown. She appeared vibrant, gentle, and striking. Wyatt was sitting in the lobby lounge, listening to the hotel manager’s report on the hotel’s performance for the quarter. He was a quarter-sized performer. He was taken aback to see Ivy emerge from the elevator. “Are you going out?” “Mm, there’s a party,” Ivy replied. She then exited the room. Wyatt clenched his teeth. When he noticed a Porsche parked at the hotel entrance, he didn’t have time to ask her where the party was. Soon after, the person in the driver’s seat exited the vehicle. Marco Seely was the man. Wyatt’s pupils constricted with fear and sharpness. He pushed his wheelchair over to them. Marco acted like a gentleman by opening the door for Ivy. He paused for a moment and nodded slightly when he saw Wyatt. “Mr. Reed.” Even though Wyatt was in a wheelchair, his powerful aura did not dim as he stared coldly at Marco. “What a coincidence, Mr. Seely.” Marco was the trip’s wild card the entire time. ‘He went away and then returned?’ Wyatt pondered. Marco was never welcomed, to begin with. He had complete control over Wyatt’s mood at all times. Ivy’s silk scarf was blown off her shoulders and landed at Wyatt’s feet as a result of the sudden breeze. Wyatt bent over to pick it up when he noticed this. Marco had just grabbed the other end.

Wyatt raised his dark, deep, and cold eyes to meet Marco’s equally uncompromising gaze. There was an unspoken rivalry going on. No one let go of the scarf, and no one took the initiative to speak to one another. For a while, the atmosphere was still. Ivy returned the look, walked over indifferently, and yanked the silk scarf from the two men’s hands. She broke the air’s silence. “All right, let’s go. We’re running late.” Ivy sat in the car and decided to speak up. Marco sat up straight and cast a cold glance at Wyatt. “Adieu, Mr. Reed.” Wyatt was scrutinized while he ignored his oppressive chill. He then walked around the front of the car, climbed inside, and turned on the engine. Wyatt sat motionless in his chair. His pupils constricted sharply and dangerously. How could he be so apathetic when someone else wanted to take from him? Jimmy came down and saw Wyatt sitting alone at the main entrance, so he dashed over. “Have you seen Ms. Morgan, Mr. Reed?” Wyatt remained silent. After a long silence, he said indifferently, “Go and see which party is present in the circle today.” The party Marco and Ivy attended together would not be some insignificant gathering. Wyatt was bound to discover the truth. Jimmy paused for a moment before pulling out his phone to look at the schedule Michael had sent him. Jimmy spoke with difficulty a few seconds later. “It’s Mr. Elrod’s birthday celebration. You’ve turned down his invitation.” Jimmy continued to speak, and Wyatt frowned. “I heard Mr. Elrod invited a lot of celebrities. It’s a large gathering. “Would you like to come over and take a look?” Jimmy was pessimistic because he knew Wyatt would not waste his time on such a pointless party. Wyatt took a brief pause. “Okay. Go ahead and set it up.” For a brief moment, Jimmy was taken aback. He didn’t dare to wait any longer and immediatelyThis belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

summoned the driver. On the way, Jimmy wanted to ask where Ivy was, but he couldn’t bring himself to say anything. They soon arrived at a luxury villa on the beach. The laughter from inside the villa could be heard from afar. When Duke learned that Wyatt had arrived, he dashed to the door to greet him personally. Duke was overcome with emotion when he saw Wyatt and gave him a bear hug. “Oh, my brother! I knew you’d show up! You haven’t even recovered yet, but you still came to my birthday party. I’ve finally realized how valuable I am to you. You’ll always be my best friend!” Duke was moved to tears. His eyes were bright red. Wyatt smirked. Jimmy dashed over to pry Duke from Wyatt’s body. “Mr. Elrod, you don’t have to be polite because there are so many people here. In any case, you’re all close friends.” Duke was moved and nodded. Wyatt’s face was expressionless as he gazed at Duke. “Has Ivy arrived?” When Duke heard that, he froze. His expression shifted from simple to perplexed in an instant. “Didn’t you come to my birthday party?” A wave of sadness struck Duke as he recognized Wyatt’s intent. “What brings you here, Wyatt Reed?” Ivy, who was standing behind him, looked at Wyatt with surprise. Duke returned his gaze as he heard Ivy’s voice. ‘I had no idea Ivy had arrived!’ Duke glared at Wyatt and said, tremblingly, “You really didn’t come for me!” His plaintive expression gave him the appearance of an envious wife. Jimmy quickly pushed Wyatt inside after noticing that he was about to be surrounded by other guests eager to exchange pleasantries. “Mr. Elrod, Mr. Reed came just for you” He took time out of his hectic schedule to wish you a happy birthday. Meeting Ms. Morgan isn’t a coincidence—it’s fate!” Jimmy’s tone shifted, and he glanced at

Ivy. “It’s undeniably fate!” Ivy walked over, rolling her eyes. “Are you finished?” If Jimmy continued to chatter, everyone would hear it. Wyatt’s mood clearly improved when he noticed Ivy standing alone. The coldness in his eyes faded as he stared at her, unable to take his gaze away. Duke approached Wyatt when he heard that. “Did you really come just for me?”
