Olivia was surprised to get a message from Sophie. It had been a while since they last spoke, and she was using a new phone number. She wondered how Sophie even found it.

Olivia clutched her phone to her chest. Despite everything, Sophie was still someone she felt

she could talk to.

The day went by without much happening.

“Mom?” she called out to Ana. “I’m going out.”
