The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy

Chapter 680

Chapter 680 What An Ungrateful Son!

Nancy was shocked. She looked at Gerald in confusion and asked, "Gerald, what's wrong with you? This is not the way to the hospital."

Gerald explained perfunctorily, "Mom, I've found a new doctor for Dad. We're going to a different hospital now."

He stared calmly ahead at the road without blinking. And there was no trace of worry on his face at all. Instead, his eyes were gleaming with excitement.

His strange expression sent a chill down Nancy's spine.

Something must be wrong. What Gerald had said and done was weird from the very beginning.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

As his mother, Nancy knew Gerald's true character very well. And now, all she felt for him was fear.

While he was not looking, she secretly took out her phone, wanting to send Maurice a message.

But unfortunately, he suddenly turned his head and saw her.

Gerald snatched the phone from Nancy and said gloomily, "Mom, what are you doing? Didn't I tell you not to contact Maurice?"

Nancy looked at Gerald, feeling like he had totally changed into a different person. She suddenly understood everything.

"Gerald, this is not the way to the hospital. We're not going to any hospital, right? Instead, you want to find a place to put us < under house arrest!"

Gerald didn't expect that Nancy would immediately find out the truth, so he just dropped his pretense.

He asked bluntly, "So what?"

Nancy was shocked for a moment and then gnashed her teeth in rage. The anger wrapped her up and she felt dizzy, so she took a deep breath to calm herself down.

Nancy was so disappointed in Gerald. She couldn't believe this was the son she had given birth to and raised for decades. She had suffered a lot for him. But in the end, he treated her and Earle like this.

She raised her trembling hand and pointed at his nose. She cursed, "You ungrateful bastard! How dare you do this to us! We are your parents. Aren't you afraid of getting your comeuppance?"

Gerald sneered. Even in front of his own mother, he was still cold-blooded.

"Mom, instead of scolding me, how about having some rest?

If you don't want to lie in bed like Dad, be obedient and listen to me. Do you understand?"

Meanwhile, Maurice was in the hospital. He held the test result of the antidote in his hand, and the doctor, with a solemn expression, sat opposite him.

"Mr. Moran, based on the result of our test on the capsule, there is no problem at all. We can say that it should be the most effective medicine for Miss Pierce's disease."

Maurice set aside the report and raised his head. Then he asked seriously, "Can you study its ingredients and make exactly the same one?"

The doctor looked embarrassed. "I'm afraid not. One of the ingredients has been monopolized by Universe Group, and it's not available in the market at all."

Maurice's face darkened at once. The doctor was so scared that he almost couldn't breathe.

Silence stretched in the room. Then finally, Maurice made up his mind.

It seemed that he was left with no choice but to agree with Jonathan's conditions.

At this moment, his phone suddenly rang. He took it out and checked who was calling. It was Nancy.

As soon as the call was connected, Nancy's serious voice came from the other end of the line.

"Maurice, have you known that Eliana is a member of the

White family? Why did you lie to us?"

Maurice was surprised.

How did Nancy know the truth?

He was stunned for a moment. But when he came back to his senses, he immediately explained, "Grandma, I didn't..."

But before he could finish his words, Nancy interrupted harshly, "Enough, Maurice! I don't want to hear your explanations anymore. Since Eliana is from the White family, your grandpa and I will never accept her. If you insist on marrying her, we won't attend your wedding. You'd better think about it."

Nancy then hung up the phone without even giving Maurice a chance to speak.

Maurice held his phone tightly. His frown deepened even more.

He felt it strange. What was going on?

Nancy obviously loved Eliana so much. She had been firmly supporting their marriage.

Even if she suddenly found out that Eliana was a member of the White family, she might be shocked and confused, but she would not change her mind so soon. She wouldn't possibly refuse to attend their wedding.

Something must be wrong.

What could have happened at home?
