Sweet Revenge By Nuit Chapter 729

Chapter 729 should not be swayed by emotions

Silvia was moved as she went back inside the house.

She didn’t say anything, but she didn’t expect Mr. Drake to take the initiative to find out the news for her; regardless of the outcome, she was moved by this kind of intent.

“Mr. Drake.” Standing there, she called out in a low voice, “Thank you.”

Mr. Drake took a step back. His face was expressionless, and Silvia rubbed her hands on his arms. “Don’t be a grump!”

Silvia couldn’t stop laughing at that expression “Thank you very much, old man!”

“No!” He gritted his teeth and waved his hand, saying, “I’m still used to you calling me an ols man.”

Silvia laughed, but she didn’t tease him like she had before.

“I understand your concern. But remember the more worried and anxious you are the more likely that you’ll make mistakes and cause problems. Think about it. You are a smart person and shouldn’t be swayed by emotions.” Mr. Drake spoke solemnly.

Silvia nodded in agreement. Mr. Drake was correct; she has been greatly affected by emotions

recently.

She tried to wait patiently, but she couldn’t help but worry. Waking up with a start from nightmares or checking her phone repeatedly for fear of missing his call was all she was doing for days now.

Silvia talked to Winnie every day, knowing that she had no news of Freddie. She had to comfort

Winnie even though the most unstable person in all of this is herself.

It’s just that she couldn’t let her enemies see it, so she could only hold on and pretend, but now, Mr. Drake could easily see through her.

Her eyes were red, she turned her face away, not wanting the old man to see her crying.

“It’s okay to cry if you want!”Mr. Drake objected and turned around, saying, “I’ll go see if the brat is awake and stop him from messing up my room.”

Silvia realized he was giving her space so she could let her emotions run wild, and she couldn’t stop

crying as she looked at the back of Mr. Drake.

Silvia didn’t cry for long, after all, it was just the accumulated pressure that needed to be relieved, and quickly tidied herself up and wiped away her tears.

Crying didn’t solve the true issue which was emotional turmoil. That wouldn’t be solved until she

confronted the issue head on.

Not long after, Silvia heard a heavy cough coming from inside and Mr. Drake’s voice. “Hi! Let’s see what your mother is up to!”

It was clear that Mr. Drake wanted to warn her so that the child would not come out and see her still

crying.

Mr. Drake actually was quite caring and warm.

Within two minutes, Mr. Drake emerged from the house, carrying Asher on his back.

Asher was riding on his shoulders, his wife had his hands in hers, and his calves were tightly

clamped and giggling.

“You’re so heavy, come down!”Silvia said hastily, wanting to get Asher down quickly.

“He’s not too heavy!” Mr. Drake purposefully turned twice to demonstrate that the child was not at

all heavy.

“You’re not afraid you’ll throw out your back?” Silvia asked.

“My back is fine, and I’m stronger than you young people!”Mr. Drake said, smiling happily. He really loved Asher from the bottom of his heart, otherwise he wouldn’t have protected him time and

time again.

Silvia was speechless. All she could do was let the grandfather and grandson go crazy.

Mr. Drake saw that her condition had improved, so he stopped asking questions and walked to the backyard to run circles around the house.

Silvia was concerned that he would be injured, so she followed quickly.

The backyard had all kinds of herbs stretching as far as the eye can see. This place was more like a herb garden than a yard, and there is even a faint fragrance of herbs in the air.

“Did you use everything you got from me a few days ago?” Mr. Drake inquired, his gaze fixed on the

horizon.

“Yes, I did.”

“How does the medication function?”

“Excellent. In a few days, most of the toxins should be excreted. The disease, on the other hand, is like tangled ball of yarn. It will take a long time to clear it up completely. At the very least, I will solve the root cause first and go from ther,” Silvia sighed.

The medicinal herbs that poisoned her have been removed, and the whole house has been cleaned and purified. Silvia went over to check to make sure that there is no longer any wrong smell in the

air, so she is relieved.

The most important thing, however, is to figure out who wanted to poison Alaia and why.

It’s just that Silvia has too many things going on to investigate.

“Then your lab…” Mr. Drake still cared about her, and while he never asked about it, he remembered everything about her.”Didn’t Leo restore all the data? I haven’t double-checked it. They may still be doing experiments.”

Silvia originally intended to use the power of hackers to directly destroy their database, but she later changed her mind. All of the experiments are documented in the lab notes, and even if their own notes are destroyed, they still have others. Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

The notes may be incomplete, and the database may be destroyed, but what about the scientists who collaborated on the experiments? They cannot all be killed.

She was powerless to stop them as long as these people were determined to carry out this research experiment.

“Have you given up? You don’t seem like someone who would give up so easily,” Mr. Drake said as he turned to face her.

“Silvia turned her head and smiled wryly, “I can’t tear the lab down. Furthermore, I just have a gut feeling that something is wrong, and there is no conclusive evidence. What would I report? I haven’t ruled out using the official method, but it seems inappropriate; after all, this laboratory isn’t just about Professor Reyes.”

Mr. Drake didn’t say anything else.

Standing there, one old, one big, and one young, it was picture of a happy family.

“Tell me, aren’t these recent events a little too coincidental?” Silvia asked quietly after a while.

“Huh?”

“Isn’t it too coincidental that all of these are connected?”
