Chapter 471
Chapter 471
Andre glanced at his nephew with a usual grumble. “You’re a grown man now. Sit up straight and
proper.”
Leo had just laid down when he sat up again, slipping into his slippers. “Dad, Uncle, I’m going back to
my room to sleep.”
Bruce watched his son with a smile. “The time flies so fast. You’re 21 already.”
Leo returned to his room right as three women left. “Mom, Ball, Anya, I’m off to bed. Goodnight.”
Mia was left standing. “Naomi, who was the Ball?”
Anya replied, “Aunt, I think that’s you.”
And so, within the hour, Anya witnessed her pregnant aunt land a punch on Leo’s back. Anya jumped
in surprise.
Naomi pointed at her son. “You deserved that.”
Leo, having been punched, finally behaved. Returning to his room, he found two similarly sized boxes
on his bed.
Curiously, Leo picked up a dark blue box and opened it to find a pair of custom Bluetooth earbuds. This
was exactly what he needed! Molly, his aunt, who was always by his side, knew him well.
Under the earbuds was a small card. [Happy birthday, kiddo. It’s been 16 years since I last celebrated it
with you as your aunt. Here’s another gift.]
Leo chuckled at the note. He glanced at the other black box, knowing who it was from without having to
guess.
His aunts loved to tease him during the day and surprise him at night. He had no idea when they snuck
this gift in.
He opened the box to find a pair of sleek, black sunglasses. “Wow, Mia has good taste,” he remarked.
The sunglasses matched his new car and Molly’s earbuds perfectly.
Underneath the sunglasses was a card from Mia. “May all be smooth. May each year bring peace.
Happy birthday, nephew.”
...
The next day, Leo placed his sunglasses in his sports car’s glove box. He mischievously opened the
car roof, to which Naomi teased, “Bird droppings will land in your car.”
Mia stood in the Cedillo family’s yard, laughing uncontrollably with her hands on her belly. “Naomi, I’m
scared I might go into labor from laughing too hard,” she managed between laughs.
Naomi joined in the laughter, “Alright Mia, let’s stop. Let the kids go to school.”
Leo snapped his fingers at Anya. “Anya, hop in.”
A slim Anya swiftly got into Leo’s car. “Ready, Leo.”
“Alright, let’s go.”
Leo’s new McLaren supercar caused quite a stir at school. Not only was he handsome, but he was also
wealthy! Unsurprisingly, Leo instantly became the dream guy for many girls at university.
Yet, what was more surprising was that the new student who was picked up by Andre a few days ago,
was now arriving at university in Leo’s car. What was her relationship with Leo’s family?
Leo had his own parking spot at university, and no one dared to park near him.
“Anya, wait for me by my classroom door after school. I’ll help you move your remaining stuff later.”
“Okay, Leo. I have to go now.”
Leo waved her off and happily went to his class with his new earbuds.
Molly noticed the earbuds and mused, “I never thought you were handsome before, but somehow
these earbuds make you more attractive than Andre and Chad.”
Leo said, “Maybe it’s because these are a birthday gift from my aunt.”
“Take out the ‘maybe’ and say it again,” Molly demanded.
They sat in the last row. Molly started a conversation, “Did Anya have a good night at our house?”
“I didn’t ask.”
Molly continued, “Did you help Anya clean her room?”
“No.”
Molly looked at her stupid nephew. “Leo, try to be a little flexible. With your level of dumbness, no
matter how hard Mia and I try, you’re destined for arranged marriage.”
Leo was annoyed, “You are one to talk. Sort out your own love life before lecturing me.”
Soon, the professor entered the classroom with his books, so the aunt-nephew duo stopped bickering.
During the last class in the afternoon, Leo was busy replying to messages on his phone. Normally
during class, his phone was face-down on his desk and seldom picked up.
“Leo, what are you up to?” Molly asked.
Leo replied, “Anya doesn’t have class, so I asked her to come find me. We’re going to her dorm to
move her stuff later. But she got lost on the way here and can’t find building 13. I’m guiding her now.”
He continued to reply while complaining, “She’s so dumb. It’s been three weeks since school started,
but she still can’t tell which building is which.”
He saw a picture Anya sent him, asking: “Leo, is this the red building?”
Leo replied: “That’s building 11.”
Molly leaned on her hand, watching her nephew busy chatting.
Shortly after, Anya sent another message: “Leo, this one has a 13 on it. Is this it?”
Leo replied: “That’s west dormitory 13. Keep going forward.”
Finally, after ten minutes, Anya managed to find Leo and Molly’s classroom.
Leo and Molly, sitting at the back, saw Anya’s head peeking in. Molly asked, “What is she doing?”
As expected, Leo’s phone received a message: “Leo, I’m at room 508 in building 13, but I can’t find
you. Did I go to the wrong place again?” Content of Draмąոovels.com Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Molly’s smile became more intriguing.
Leo resignedly picked up his phone and walked down the lecture hall to the classroom door. “Anya,
you’re so hopeless.”
Anya said, “Oh, I didn’t go to the wrong classroom. I just didn’t see you earlier.”
Anya obediently agreed. Leo couldn’t help but caution her again, “Don’t wander off, okay?”
“Sure, Leo,” she reassured him. “I won’t wander off.”
She was well aware that she wasn’t familiar with the area. If she got lost, she’d have to keep bothering
Leo for directions.
When Leo returned to his seat in the classroom, Molly shot him a teasing grin, “Anya didn’t come in?”
