Chapter 1078 Definitely A Monster

Alex gave Flynn a reassuring pat on the back, followed by a chuckle. “What else can I be if not human? Are you convinced I didn’t hurt you on purpose now?”

“Well, maybe you’re not a ghost, but you’re definitely a monster among monsters. You managed to smash that hundred-year-old tree into bits as if it was nothing more than a twig to you. You win, I’m impressed,” Flynn uttered, his lone laced with respect.

It was all too ridiculous to believe. How could one person have unleashed so much power? Flynn was beginning to realize just how little he actually knew. Even if he sent all of his subordinates after Alex, he would be able to kill them with just a little flick of his hand.

As the realization sank in, Flynn’s defeated demeanor became more pronounced. Despite being a well- known figure in Nebula City, he couldn’t help but acknowledge the vast disparity between his own abilities and Alex’s.

The two men had always regarded each other as best friends. However, the reality was that Flynn amounted to nothing when compared to Alex, and there were only so many things he could assist the latter with. Realizing the insurmountable gap that separated them, Flynn began to doubt he even deserved to be friends with someone as extraordinary as Alex.

“What are you thinking about? You look pretty serious,” Alex said with a smile as he slung an arm around Flynn’s shoulder.

In the presence of Alex’s sincere smile and genuine concern, Flynn’s momentary self-doubt was dispelled. He realized that he had been lost in unnecessary thoughts and self-criticism. Sincerity is what matters most between friends. Power and everything else come second.

When his train of thought ended there, Flynn’s observant eye caught the subtle changes in Alex’s appearance. “Alex, I can’t help but notice you look even more handsome compared to before. Besides, your skin is looking better, too. Did you perhaps sneak off to Lumenopolis and undergo some cosmetic procedures in secret?”

Alex glided his fingers across his face, noticing the newfound smoothness of his skin. He had never paid much attention to his appearance in the past, but being handsome wasn’t a bad thing at all.

“I’ve always been a looker. I don’t need plastic surgery at all,” came Alex’s narcissistic response.

After that, the two men were engaged in a discussion regarding Sakura Club, noting that nothing significant had occurred recently, NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.

Alex also managed to find time to check up on the tech dome. The development of microchips was well underway, and they were on track to achieve fruitful results in the near future.

If they were able to successfully produce the microchips, Eurasia would have its own source of microchips and need not import them from Anglandur anymore.

Furthermore, the projects under Four Seas Corporation were all running smoothly. With some free time on her hands, Jessica had been pouring her attention into renovating the house that Alex gifted her and had not gone to the office as of late.

Unknowingly, it was already nighttime. Alex hailed a taxi and headed over to the restaurant where he was supposed to meet Stefan

This time, in order to avoid being looked down upon like he was in the past, Alex purposefully donned a

slightly more expensive set of attire. His outfit cost about twenty thousand. Although it wasn’t as expensive as the suits that cost upward of sixty or seventy thousand, Alex was rather happy with his

attire, and that was what mattered most to him.

As expected, the guards at the entrance were much more respectful toward Alex when he walked in, bringing him a sense of satisfaction.

When he pushed open the door to the private room, Alex realized that besides the Joneses, there were also a couple of people who weren’t a part of the family. There was a man who looked about the same age as Stefan, and next to him sat another man who was around twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old.

Upon noticing Alex’s arrival, Stefan hurried over to greet him. “Mr. Jefferson, you’re finally here. Please, have a seat,” he urged, his tone laced with respect.

Alex nodded in acknowledgment and sat down at the table.

Swiftly, Stefan began to introduce everyone else to Alex. “This is my distant cousin, Horace Hernandez. He has a business in Horington, and the young man beside him is his only son, Wesley Hernandez.”

Once again, Alex nodded to acknowledge the presence of the two individuals. Still, he could not figure out Stefan’s purpose for inviting him over.
