Alex looked up at the clear, blue sky, only to shield his eyes from the blindingly bright sun.

“Grandpa will be back soon!” Alex said with a serious look on his face. That was not just a promise to Stanley but also to himself.

Alex was on the way back to the hotel when he overheard a middle-aged man saying on the phone, “I heard the stuff being sold at this auction are incredibly rare and precious herbs! You’ll regret it if you don’t attend the auction!”

The words “rare” and “precious” piqued his interest instantly, and he pricked his ears to listen in on the middle-aged man’s conversation.

door.
