He Stayed For A While
He Stayed For A While
ONE DAY passed, and Helios was still in the Philippines. Zoe’s mother told the man he could stay for at least a day. She might need his help because her mother, aunt, and friends are going on a trip. Zoe and her daughter will stay with Helios at home. Zoe’s mother begged Helios to stay for a while after they got back if he could. He was on board, too. Zoe wants to pass out because of what her mom is doing. And her mother doesn’t usually go on trips because she doesn’t know much about PH. That’s why it seems strange. Zoe was avoiding Helios because he wanted to talk to her about them. Whenever Helios brought up her life after the incident or her pregnancy, she always had a reason or an excuse. It looks like the man was trying to find out something. “Mom, there’s no need for you to do that. Just stick around. Don’t bother other people with it. It sounds like you’re asking bodyguards at a security company. Besides, if that was what you were worried about, I can handle it,” Zoe said. “That was the end of the talk. He has said yes. We’ll only be in Tagaytay for two days.” Her mother came up to her and said quietly, “Be kind. Fix your misunderstandings. I wasn’t born yesterday, so I should be able to tell that things are getting awkward between you two. Get up and talk to him,” she said, pinching the skin on her arm. ‘Ouch! Damn!’ She cursed to herself. “Oh, son, you look good as a father,” her mother said to Helios, who was sitting and feeding Hela mashed potatoes. “Really?” he asked. Zoe smacked her forehead because she was upset. Her mother can’t stop making jokes and plans because Helios keeps riding on her mother’s comments and jokes. It’s strange that as soon as he has her daughter in his arms, he seems not to want to let go of her, just like her daughter. It looks like they’re feeling the blood rush of their connection. Hela also seemed to enjoy biting her dad’s cheeks on occasion. Zoe liked watching what they were doing, but she couldn’t show how she really felt, no matter howNôvelDrama.Org holds © this.
much she wanted to. “Come on, Iris,” her aunt Millie said to her as she pulled her suitcase behind her. Her mother turned to face her. “Remember what I’ve said, sweetie. Don’t be afraid to ask Helios for help if you can’t deal with Hela’s temper tantrums.” Zoe gave her mother a mean look. Her mom was correct. Hela sometimes has temper tantrums, but she is very good at handling them. Why did her mother say that it looks like she can’t take care of her daughter? What kind of plan is she making? “Fine, mom. Get going. You could miss your trip, right?” She pushed her mother a little bit, which seems to be fun for her mother because it makes her look worse. Helios and her daughter make the most of the situation by acting cool. As Zoe walked by them, she saw the man’s smile. “Go, mom. Besides, wasn’t Helios here? Don’t worry,” she said in a sarcastic way. Her mom did nothing but shake her head. She kissed Zoe on the cheek and then walked away. When her daughter cried, she was about to follow her. She ran back quickly to the kitchen. Helios was holding her daughter and trying to make her feel better. He keeps stroking the back of his daughter. Zoe moved toward them. “Hand her over. She said, “Perhaps she doesn’t want to eat and just wants to drink milk.” The child was then given to Zoe by Helios. He got up and pulled the chair toward Zoe so she could sit down. “What was wrong with the baby?” Zoe asked sweetly. She held Hela in her arms, pulled up her shirt, and put her left index finger on the baby’s mouth. And the baby sucked it up quickly. Hela cried because she really needed her mother’s milk. Helios was surprised by what he saw, even though he had often seen the girl feed her baby since he visited PH. He was happy. “She just finished eating, and now she’s drinking milk again?” Zoe gave him her attention. “Babies are like that. Even though they were eating food like we usually do, breastfeeding is still different. And Hela had been used to it from the start.”
“Aren’t things hard for you?” Zoe didn’t immediately answer. Not because she doesn’t know what to say, but because the man’s voice sounds sincere and worried. In all honesty, she’s having trouble too. Even more so when he held her daughter for the first time, but she was glad that her mother, aunt, and even Cindy were there for her and her daughter. “Of course not. I’ve gotten used to it.” Then Trinity gave him an odd look. Zach sat down properly. She looked over at her sleeping daughter. She smiled. “It seems like you were closer to my mom than I thought. I’d like to know why you’re here.” If this is when they’re going to talk about them, so be it. “Put Hela on her bed first, and then we’ll talk,” he said. She said “yes” and got up to put her baby in the crib in her daughter’s room upstairs. Then Helios went after them. When she finally got her daughter to sleep, Helios began to talk. “Where would you like to talk? Here or outside?” “Here? Outside? Be specific,” she gave a sarcastic answer. Helios chuckled. “I mean, in your room or on your balcony?” “There, you need to make yourself clear.” She can’t figure out why she was mad again. “Let’s just talk here.” Helios looked at Hela all of a sudden. “Won’t she wake up?” “No. Just start talking.” He then sat down on the wooden chair that was on her vanity table. “Zoe... I’m sorry...”
