Guessing It

Guessing It

Zoe’s POV Indeed, it’s strangely different mingling with others. But Cindy never failed to entertain me while we were inside the bar. She finds a seat for us at the corner, where lights were somewhat not passing through. “Drinks here are awesome, Zoe. It would be best if you tried it,” she said as she leaned on the couch. I smiled. “I’m okay with flavored beer. I don’t drink alcohol with higher—” “Come on. I swear you will love it. Let’s try?” she asked, making me shake my head. “You can go. I’ll stay here with my beer,” I said as I raised the bottle. Cindy laughed. “Okay, if you say so. Anyway—oh shit!” she exclaimed when her eyes darted to the entrance, I guess. I followed the direction of her eyes and arched my brow. I saw two men, one with blonde hair, while the other one was black. I arched my brow. “Who are they?” I can’t see any special thing with them. They’re like Helios, and I could smell their luxury. “Girl…” she bit her lower lip when I met her gaze, “The one with black hair is Calyx DiMarco.” I frowned. “And so?” Cindy rolled her eyes. “Duh, he’s the famous cold-hearted bachelor in town. But women are head over heels for him. He obtains a jaw-dropping and panty-dropping figure. Look how his bodysuit with his polo—” “In short, you’re one of the girls who fantasize about him?” Cindy rolled her eyes. “Of course not. There’s no way that I like him. Aside from his looks, well, he’s a womanizer. So, it’s a no, no.” “Cold-hearted but womanizer?” “He flirts with any girl at his pace. And then, after a minute, he dumped them.” I shook my head. I am not interested in others’ affairs. “He’s a bachelor with good looks. So, he can’t avoid it. You know what, you can tell me if you like him. I promise I will keep my mouth shut,” I said as I took a gulp of my beer.

Amidst the dim surrounding, I can clearly see how Cindy rolled her eyes. “No, thanks.” I wonder why she hated that man when in fact, while describing him, her eyes are glimmering. Guess her heart dislikes it, but her heart doesn’t. Just like Helios… I paused and shook my head. “Girl…” I got back to my senses when she pulled my arm. “What’s wrong?” “They… they’re walking towards our direction.” I arched my brow and looked at the two, and yes, they were taking the way toward us, but I doubted that maybe they wanted to sit on the opposite couch. I shook my head and just drank my beer while I let Cindy feel thrilled while staring at the two. I smirked. Guess she’s really hooked with that Calyx, huh? I leaned towards her and whispered in her ears. “You got the same initials. Don’t you think you’re meant to—” “Shut up,” she said and moved away, making me laugh. After a few moments, I felt a shiver; seems like someone is looking at me. I wandered my eyes around and frowned as I met Calyx’s gaze. “Hello, ladies!” It was the blonder hair one. I averted my gaze and drank into the bottle again. “Care to share a seat?” I looked at Cindy. She bit her lower lip and nodded. “S-Sure,” she said. I rolled my eyes and sighed as I dropped the empty bottle. “You’re Cindy, right?” I frowned upon hearing the blonde boy’s voice. Does it mean they really know, Cindy? Cindy hemmed and glanced at me before giving an awkward smile. “Yes. Why?” “Well, it’s been a long time since I saw you in the ring,” he said, making me confused, Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

“Ring?” it was too late when I realized that I had said it aloud. The blonde looked at me and smiled. “You got an accompany. Who’s she? She’s not familiar—” “Of course, she’s not. Anyway, she’s my best friend from Manhattan.” The blonde gave a faint “o.” “Is that so? What is she doing here?” “Can you stop taking information, Romeo?” It was Cindy; she seemed irritated. The blonde, who’s named Romeo, raised his hand, surrendering. “Feisty Cindy.” He chuckled. “Anyway, I’m Romeo,” he said and extended his arm in front of me. I reached for it and shook his hands. “Zoe.” “Zoe? Wow, that’s a pretty name, and this man,” Romeo pulled Calyx in the shoulder, “—is—” “Calyx. Yeah, I know. Cindy told me.” Cindy’s eyes widened, and she glared at me. I arched my brow and mouthed, ‘what.’ I heard Calyx’s soft chuckle, making me turn to face him. He’s now sitting beside me, but his eyes are darted into Cindy. Oopsie, did I just become a bridge? I saw how Cindy glared at Calyx. I hemmed to clear my throat. “Calyx,” okay, I’m a thick-face. But I wanted to help Cindy to accept that she has a feeling about this stone. Calyx met my gaze. “Don’t you know that Cindy—” “Zoe!” I smirked. “What?” “I know what you’re thinking,” Calyx said. I arched my brow. “That Cindy likes me?” he scoffed, “I already know that,” he added. Cindy stood up and was about to dash toward Calyx, but I stopped her.

“Cindy…” “You’re too full of yourself. Over my gorgeous body. I will never like you—” “Says, the woman whom I take her first?” My eyes widened in surprise upon hearing Calyx’s revelation. I felt Cindy’s body tense. How could he tell that in front of us? And at this time, I felt guilty. Cindy wanted to let go of my grip, but I hugged her and whispered, “let’s take revenge.” She stopped wiggling and looked at me. She arched her brow. “You’re ruining my mood, Zoe,” she whispered and pouted her lips. I tapped her shoulder and winked at her. “I’m sorry.” I thought she would get angry at me, but she smiled and seemed to agree with me in the end. I let go of her, and she pulled me to her side, away from Calyx. “So, what if you’re my first? It’s not that I like you just because of that,” she said and rolled her eyes. Calyx formed a sly smirk on his lips. “Is that so?” “I hate to correct you with your thoughts, but that’s not what I meant. Anyway, let’s have a drink,” I said and raised my bottle. Calyx knitted his forehead as he met my gaze. I smiled at him and emptied the bottle. “Your treat, right?” I asked Calyx, who was still frowning. “Well, if you don’t want to, we will leave then and find another bar. Right, Cindy?” Cindy nodded as she tossed her drink. Actually, I don’t know how I will help Cindy by getting revenge. I just feel guilty, but maybe wasting Calyx money will be fine… or NOT. I shook my head and leaned over Cindy. “What will gonna do?” I whispered. Cindy moved away and looked at me. “Nothing.” I sighed. “Are you mad at me?” She shook her head. “No, but I’m pissed off by Calyx’s presence.” “I heard that,” said Calyx. Cindy rolled her eyes. “Whatever.”
