At exactly half–past five in the afternoon, Imogen arrived at the kindergarten gate to wait for
Grace.
Led by their teacher, the children formed lines and walked out of the gate.
Seeing the rows of children, all of similar height, Imogen momentarily felt a bit overwhelmed.
Grace spotted Imogen and was about to shout with joy, but she suddenly thought of something and closed her mouth.
She spoke to her teacher and then hurried toward Imogen.
Imogen finally saw her and took a few steps forward. “Grace.”
When she reached Imogen, Grace turned to look at her classmates, then said, “Imogen, let’s go. home.”
“Sure.” Imogen took the small backpack from Grace’s back and held her chubby hand as they walked towards the car. “Grace, how was your day at kindergarten today?”
“It was okay. The other kids are friendly, but the teachers are paying too much attention to me, like I don’t know anything…”
The teachers knew about Grace’s affluent background and the fact that she had recently moved from abroad, so they were probably just trying to make sure Grace felt comfortable. However, it could be a bit overwhelming.

Imogen opened the rear door, and Grace crawled in, huffing and puffing.
After dropping Grace off at Galaxy Villa, Imogen headed back home.
She wanted some advice about whether to take on the role of Suzy in the play, so she asked Charlie for her thoughts.
Charlie was excited when she heard the question. “I wholeheartedly support it, Imogen! Come on, set your sights high and aim to become the Movie Star!”
“It’s not even in the planning stage yet, and you’re talking about the Movie Star?”
“Don’t you
have to set a goal first? Even if you don’t become the Movie Star, why not give it a try? Treat it as a fun experience, especially since you’d be the lead.”
