Sir madame has run away again (Lily and Carson)

Chapter 446

Chapter 446

Feelings of disappointment washed over me, which negatively affected my mood. As night fell, Jenny

came to my room to update me on our flight to Germany. She had already booked the tickets, so we

would be flying to Frankfurt at 4pm and arriving at 6pm before heading to

Darmstadt from there.

‘No flights in the morning? Why would we need to leave in the afternoon?

*There are no more tickets for the morning flights, so I booked an afternoon flight.’

‘Alright then,’ I replied lazily. There was concern on Jenny’s face as she witnessed my languor. ‘Lily, are

you feeling bad?’

‘No, I’m feeling great. I just need some rest.

‘Since that’s the case, I won’t disturb your rest. I’ll be in my room, so call me if you need anything.’

Eric’s call arrived a few minutes after Jenny left. “I hear you’re feeling unwell.” Are you feeling

uncomfortable somewhere?

“No, I’m just tired.

‘He is sure?’

‘Absolutely right,’ I replied languidly. “Are you still in Los Angeles?”

“Why don’t you try to guess? He didn’t give a straight answer.

‘I bet you are.’

‘How can you be so sure?’

“Tomorrow will be the opening of the film festival to which Ms. Sanders will be attending, so you

couldn’t leave her alone there.

‘That won’t necessarily be the case. By the way, have you felt lonely the last few days? asked Eric

suddenly.

‘No.’

“But I am, Lillian. I miss you, don’t I?

It was the first time I had heard him say something like that, which startled me for a moment before

replying, ‘No, and why should I?’

Eric didn’t get mad at me, which was unexpected. ‘Is that so? You are so mean!

“I don’t even have a conscience to begin with, because it’s worthless.

‘You are a heartless asshole!’ He was boiling hot. ‘Lilian, I have good news that I was thinking of telling

you, but now I won’t, since you don’t miss me.’

Despite his threats, I could hear music and women’s voices talking on the phone, which indicated he

was at a party, bar or nightclub, so I didn’t believe for a second that he would miss me. So I impatiently

replied, ‘I am not at all interested in your good news.’

‘He is sure? He didn’t regret it later.

‘This is meaningless.’ I hung up after saying that.

When the next afternoon arrived, Jenny and I flew from London to Frankfurt, arriving at our destination

around seven o’clock that night. After leaving the airport, we went straight to the hotel by taxi.

The bath was followed by dinner, which consisted of good apple cider made in Frankfurt. The

Frankfurter Würstchen and the braised short ribs were also good additions, but the potato pancake was

my favorite.

Jenny kept me company on an after-meal shopping trip. As I didn’t speak a word of German, I watched Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

Jenny talking with the locals. Other than that, because I liked chocolate, I bought some; I would have

bought a ton of them if I could have brought them all home, as the chocolates in Frankfurt were both

tasty and affordable.

Then we went to buy perfume and clothes on Goethestraße and Zeil. It wasn’t every day that I had the

chance to visit Germania, so I bought it as a souvenir for Isabella because she liked it. I also bought an

extra bottle of perfume for Jenny, for which she happily thanked me.

The shopping trip left us both exhausted, so we took a taxi back to the hotel, after which I lay down on

the bed, intending to fall asleep anyway. However, my phone abruptly rang with a call, which I didn’t

realize was from Eric until I answered it. His voice was exceptionally gentle when it came

through. ‘What are you doing?’
