raise them for me.” He pointed to a space in front of him.
“Here?” I swallowed in shock and finally noticed the extra chair in the room.
“Why? You do not want?” He stared at me with glittering eyes.
“No problem. It’s not a problem.” Feeling pressured, I sat across from him and fired up my laptop. His
hand was close to mine. I noticed that his fingers were very thin and he kept his nails neatly trimmed. I
suddenly noticed that he was wearing cufflinks today; they were sapphires surrounded by diamonds,
looking intricate and chic. Out of nowhere, I blurted out, “President Walker, where did you get those
cufflinks?”
“You like them?” he asked me.
“Yes. They are adorable.”
