She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian)

Chapter 27

Chapter 27

When she fell into a deep sleep, her phone suddenly vibrated non-stop.

She opened her tired eyes, propped herself up, and picked up her phone to answer the call.

“Baby.”

“I heard that you had a high fever yesterday. How are you now?” James’s voice came from the other

side of the line. Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

When Scarlett heard his voice, she was extremely annoyed.

She felt that James was so strange. Why did the person who had always only wanted to sleep with her

suddenly care about

her health?

There were text messages and phone calls. Could it be that he knew that she was about to die and

planned to let her go?

Scarlett’s mind was in a mess, but her face remained calm as she replied indifferently, “I’m good now.”

“It’s fine as long as it’s done.”

James replied half-heartedly before impatiently asking. “You just called me. Is it done?”

Scarlett knew that James wouldn’t care about her health. This was his real

purpose.

She sat up straight from the bed and supported her forehead with one hand. She said coldly, “I went to

look for Mr. Jackman. He said that he would consider it.”

The excuse she used to escape that day was to threaten Sebastian with an indecent video and take

the project from him.

She made a solemn vow, but only she knew that these were all lies to James.

She did not have any videos at all, and she would not go to Sebastian, let alone threaten him.

She had long thought that she would always use this excuse to stall.

When Susan got married, she would find James and settle things for good.

Yes, she planned to use her life to exchange for Susan’s peace.

“The bidding will start on the tenth of next month. When will he consider it?” James frowned.

Susan’s wedding was on the ninth of next month.

She originally wanted to wait for Susan to get married and then go to James to die together.

James would not permit her to extend the bidding to the tenth, as the time was too rushed.

After thinking for a while, Scarlett gritted her teeth and said, “Next month on the ninth, he said that he

would give me an

accurate answer”

“F**k!”

“Give me the video. I’ll talk to him myself. James cursed.

Scarlett panicked. She was so nervous that she broke out in cold sweat. Fortunately, she reacted

quickly and calmed down. She said calmly.

“Mr. Forrest, I employed this approach to pressure Mr. Jackman into aiding you with the project. It has

already left him feeling very disgruntled with you. If you were to threaten him yourself, it would only

further infuriate him. Then, not only would you completely alienate him, but you would also be unable to

secure the project. Wouldn’t it be too costly a price to pay? Don’t you agree?”

James thought about it and felt that what Scarlett said was right.

Using this method to threaten Sebastian was not open and aboveboard in the first place. If he were to

threaten him again, it would be too dangerous.

“I want to see the contract on the ninth. Otherwise, I will let my people screw your best friend at her

wedding!”

Scarlett’s heart trembled. James even knew the date of Susan’s wedding clearly, which meant that he

had been watching

them all the time.

Now, she might even implicate Susan’s husband, so she had to get herself together as soon as

possible.

Scarlett, thinking of this, put down the phone and, with effort, rose to her feet.

She walked to the desk, opened the drawer, and took out a few bottles of medicine from it.

She selected the sleeping medication and transferred it into an empty container.

Numbly, she picked up the other medicine for heart failure and stuffed them all into her mouth.

She was determined to live until the day of Susan’s wedding, and also wanted James to pay a painful

price for what he had done!
