Brandon was utterly exhausted. As soon as he closed his eyes, he fell into a deep sleep.

He had intended to sleep until dawn before getting back to work. However, it was already noon the next day when he finally awoke.

His eyes shot open, and he immediately shouted, “Is the problem solved? Is there a problem with the product?”

Lindsay, who had been keeping watch by his side, handed him a glass of water. “Don’t worry. The programming errors have been fixed. We’ve reviewed the surveillance footage and thoroughly tested the raw materials. Everything is fine.”

“That’s good.” Brandon took the water and drank it in one go. “What about those two? How are they now?”

“We discussed it,” Lindsay replied. “Since we caught the problem early, the financial loss they caused is minimal. Even if we called the police, they wouldn’t face harsh punishment.”

“We’ve recorded their confessions and gathered evidence. We plan to use it to warn the people behind them. If they try anything again, we’ll release the evidence and ruin their reputation.”

The company that sent the undercover agent was a giant in the industry, far beyond the current Donovan High–tech’s reach. Even if the company sued the two spies, the competitor could deny it. Instead of confronting them now, it was wiser to hold their weakness and buy time to grow stronger.

Brandon gritted his teeth, his eyes narrowing in determination. “But I’m unwilling…”

Lindsay gave a knowing smile. “Revenge is best served cold. There’s no rush. When we’re strong enough, we can take them down. Don’t you think?”

She picked up a bowl of oatmeal. “Now, eat something. We still have plenty of work ahead.”

Only then did Brandon say with resentment, “I’ll remember this debt and settle it later.”

After eating, he finally regained enough strength to get up. He personally checked the revised data and supervised the production line.

He worked tirelessly until nightfall. When he saw that the assembled parts had no issues, he breathed a long sigh of relief. “Everyone, you’ve worked hard. I’ll treat you to a meal.” Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

Full of concern, Lindsay said, “You’ve gone three days without a shower. Why don’t you go take one first? I’ve already prepared a change of clothes for you.”

Brandon looked at her gratefully, his eyes filled with warmth. “Thank you, Lindsay.”

Lindsay smiled softly. “Do we need to be so polite with each other?”

Brandon gently squeezed her hand, picked up the bag with the clothes, and walked into the changing room.

After taking a shower, he went straight to the factory entrance, climbed into his second–hand Audi, which he had bought for six thousand five hundred dollars, and said to everyone, “Let’s go to Donovan’s Restaurant.”

When they arrived at the restaurant, they saw many people queuing up outside with numbered tickets. However, Brandon led them straight inside without needing a number or waiting in line.

As soon as they entered the private room, delicious food was immediately served, causing everyone to exclaim, “We’re so lucky to have great food as soon as we arrive.”

“I can never get a seat when I come here, but whenever I follow Brandon, there’s always a table waiting. Brandon, you’re

truly our lucky star.”

Brandon smiled and said, “You’ve all worked hard, so eat up. It’s on me.”

Lindsay looked at him and opened her mouth as if to say something, but she held back seeing him eating so happily.

The food was delicious, but Lindsay ate somewhat absentmindedly, her gaze wandering toward the floor below.

Then, her attention sharpened, and she focused on the kitchen downstairs.

The kitchen was surrounded by glass on three sides, allowing customers to see what was happening inside.

Lindsay saw a girl carrying a plate into the kitchen, casually picking up some already–prepared ingredients and placing them on the plate.

Once the plate was full, the girl came out and sat at a corner of the long dining table. She removed her mask and began eating with relish.

Lindsay was stunned. ‘Athena?‘

‘It’s not unusual for Athena to eat here, but why was she allowed to enter the kitchen freely and take whatever she wanted?‘ After thinking momentarily, Lindsay turned to Brandon and said, “I’ll be right back. I’m going to the washroom.”

She left the private room, went downstairs, and approached Athena, lightly tapping the table. “Miss Donovan, excuse me for interrupting.”

Athena was eating while glancing at her phone. When she heard Lindsay’s voice, she looked up and smiled, “Hello, Ms. Dudley.”

Lindsay said, “I came here to eat as well and happened to see you in the kitchen picking out food, so I got a little curious.” She paused for a moment, then asked, “Is the kitchen here open for guests to enter and choose their food as they please?”

Athena replied, “Of course, guests are not allowed to enter.” She looked puzzled by Lindsay’s question. “But the restaurant is owned by my family. I can enter the kitchen of my family’s restaurant and choose what I like to eat. Of course, that’s not a problem.”

Lindsay’s eyes widened in shock. “Y–you’re saying that Donovan’s Restaurant is owned by your family? Did I misunderstand?”

“No misunderstanding,” Athena said. “Many of the guests here know me.”

Lindsay frowned and asked, “In other words, Brandon is also one of the owners of Donovan’s Restaurant?”

“Yes,” Athena replied, looking puzzled. “Didn’t Brandon tell you?
