“Let’s continue with the dress up..” Alessandro teased, carrying her to the room, she had wrapped her hands around his neck.

“Maybe some other day or never, all I wanna do is sleep for the next 1 week” She replied and he burst into laughter, he dropped her on the bed gently and laid beside her, tickling her and she giggled, pushing his hand away weakly.

“Please stop.. My eyelids are heavy..” she pleaded with a yawn and he pulled her close, using the duvet to cover their bodies.

He kissed her hair, staring at the sexy piece of rudeness that he owned, he smiled remembering how they had bickered and fought on the first day they met.

“I am the luckiest man alive” He concluded, closing his eyes.

“Wake up.. it’s time to work” He muttered, opening her eyelids, she turned, using her hand to shoo him away and he chuckled, using a feather to tickle her ear.

“Go away..” She mumbled, waving her hand.

“Wake up!” He yelled, shaking her and she opened her eyes drowsily.

“Haven’t I warned you never to disturb my sleep.. you’re fired” She ordered and fell back to the bed, making him burst into laughter.

He raised her up, shook her gently and she opened her eyes again.

“This isn’t your maid princess, this is your boyfriend and you can’t fire him” He replied, opening her eyelids and she frowned and opened her eyes widely.

“Why did you wake me up? I still feel sleepy and tired” She grumbled and he smiled.

“You look cute” He confessed, ruffling her hair and she laid down.

“Get up, it’s morning already.. you slept for more than 10 hours” He disclosed and her eyes widened.

“Oh my goodness, I need to go home now.. Damn! Why didn’t you wake me up? Today is the day we’re supposed to start campaigning” She confessed, standing up hurriedly.

She ran into the bathroom, took a quick bath and came out.

She declined when he asked if she wanted to eat and dressed up immediately.

They left for the house and she walked inside immediately, she wasn’t surprised when she saw her father, Ann, Mario, Annabella and Andrew eating.

“Sorry I’m late, I slept off” She apologized, joining them and Annabella grinned, greeting her.

“Typical you” Ann mumbled and Roberto shot her a look.

“Annabella, Andrew and Isabelle would be heading north with securities, we would go south” Roberto concluded and Ann scoffed.

“My kids aren’t safe with her… I can’t leave my darlings alone with her” Ann muttered.

“Mummy!” Annabella called, frowning.

“That’s right darling, she’s bad luck” Ann replied boldly and Roberto banged his hand on the table.

“That’s enough Ann and they’re going with her, I do not want any bickering when we get outside” Roberto warned and Ann frowned.

They all filled out, entering their various cars, they drove to the capital, brought out billboards from the car trunks, wore masks and began campaigning.

Isabelle held the board, moving at the front and yelling “vote for Roberto!” She and Annabella held hands as they walked around.

A crowd gathered behind them and they rallied around, raising their billboards and waving at the citizens who were watching them.

Roberto concluded it with a speech about the progress his administration had brought and would bring if he was voted in.

He also announced that he had gotten approval from everyone and the renovation of the suburb would start immediately.

The crowd cheered happily, throwing flowers and taking pictures, reporters had gathered and were all trying to get the best pictures.

After the speech, they all left.

“Today has been one of the best days of my life, I had so much fun” She confessed and Isabelle smiled, hugging her affectionately.

“Let’s go have lunch” Isabelle suggested and the three of them left, leaving Mario, Ann and Roberto in the office.

“This project would cost us a fortune, we could lose close to $200 million..” Mario complained, immediately Isabelle left.

“Stop whining Mario, if we win the election we could make double in just one year.. the money we’ve been embezzling is enough for the project, we’ve had our fill, let’s do something small for the nation” Ann replied.

“I agree with Ann. It’s like an investment which I would profit from in the future..”

“What if you lose? How would you pay for the loss?” Mario cut in.

“Think positively my dear.. I have no intentions of losing.. it’s either I win or perish” Roberto replied with determination and Mario nodded, took an excuse and left.

“Where are my babies, I have to check up on them” Ann panicked and Roberto held her back.

“Leave them alone Ann, nothing is going to happen to them, they’re with Isabelle..”

“That lunatic? She’s dangerous and unpredictable, I can’t be at rest knowing my kids are with her” Ann replied and Roberto raised his hand to hit her, stopping midway.

“Do not forget that these kids are her step siblings. They have the same blood running in their veins and blood is thicker than water, Isabelle would never harm them!” Roberto thundered.

Isabelle’s POV

I smiled, watching Annabella eat, I was getting attached to these kids and I loved it, they are an amazing bunch though Andrew isn’t much of a talker.

I wonder if I had twin babies, is this how they would behave? Would they bicker? Grow very close or fight always? I wondered, touching Annabella’s hand.

We finished lunch and headed to the garden, trying to think of what we could do.

Andrew had taken permission to go hang out with Alessandro and I saw no reason why I should deny him that.

“My crush is very cute, my stomach gets filled with butterflies and I get jittery, goosebumps fill up my skin whenever I see him… I really want him but I’m shy” Annabella confessed sadly and Isabelle held her cheek.

“I think your crush is blind, he can’t see what a smart, amazing and beautiful lady you’re becoming.. you should tell him point blank that you like him and if he doesn’t feel the same then you need to move on, there are other cute guys and true love would find you soon” I advised and her round eyes grew with joy.

“But.. it’s hard to forget your first love.. Have you ever had a first love? What’s it like?”

“It’s like something we’ve never imagined, can’t describe and would always remember… it’s magical, blissfully and amazing” I disclosed, grinning.

“Is it Alessandro? I see the way you both glance at each other when no one is looking.. it’s evident that you both like each other” She confessed and I grinned.

“That’s true, we both like each other but it’s a secret for now… But you have to confess to your crush, he might like you too” I advised and She hugged me.

“I’ve always wanted a sister, I wish you were my sister. Why can’t you and mom stop bickering? I wish you guys were close and also friends, that would make me very happy” Her words made an impact on me and I wished I had her as my sister.

“Leave Ann and I, your mom is bent on seeing my flaws, there’s nothing I can do.. Would you like to go shopping with me?”

“Can I? I don’t know if mom would allow me, can we go ask her?” Annabella replied and I nodded and happily, she strutted to the office.

“Step sibling? No, it can’t be because these kids are 16, how could he have them when my mother was alive?”

“Dad, tell me this isn’t true? You were faithful to mom right?” I demanded, walking inside.

I stared at them with horror and was waiting to get an explanation that it was all false but the truth slapped me hard in the face when he bowed his head shamefully.

Annabella couldn’t believe everything and she ran off, Ann calling and following her.

“Isabelle… I’m sorry, I can explain..”

“Explain what? Explain that while no was alive you had other kids? Explain that while we were mourning mom you were in the arms of another lover, getting comfort from your kids?” I retorted angrily and he took some steps towards me.

“Isabelle.. it was a mistake… I swear I never had intentions of cheating, your mother was my first and only love… she was the only woman I had loved..” He replied, my legs gave way and I fell to the ground.

“Your first love? You got her killed with your stubbornness… Having two kids is a mistake? Growing up with them, bringing them into your house and giving their mother, your lover a position in your administration is also a mistake right? You have no explanation for all these, you’re nothing but a terrible monster, I hate you!” I yelled and he knelt beside me, gathering me into his arms.

Tears ran down my cheek and my heart felt too tight, a lump settled in my throat and all I wanted to do was kill myself, this is too much for only

“Leave me! Get away from me you monster!” I yelled, pushing him away angrily.

“Isabelle please come back, we can settle all these.. I had no choice then” He called.

“Well I have a choice now… I’m leaving!” I replied, cleaning tears as I walked out, he followed me, pleading with me but the more I looked at him the more resentful I felt.

“Let’s go” I said to Alessandro who was looking at me with surprise, Andrew stared at me, wondering what was wrong.

Alessandro nodded, headed towards the car and drove off immediately I entered.
