“Isabelle wait up, what’s wrong with you! We never had anything together”

“You didn’t have anything together? Explain these pictures” She retorted, showing him images on her phone, he looked shocked at first and she shook her head, biting back tears.

“You’re scum” She sobbed and he held her hand, putting her head on his shoulder.

“I can explain” He muttered and she shook her head.

“There’s nothing to explain, what was I expecting from you? I’m not your girlfriend, neither am I your fiancé” She replied and he patted her back gently.

“Damn! I went to a bar last night because I couldn’t sleep, you were in my head all night. I tried to clear my thoughts but your face kept appearing so I decided to go have a drink. I saw Elena and decided to have a drink with her, in the process we got drunk..”

“Just stop, I don’t wanna hear it” She interrupted and he held her face, forcing her to look at him.

“No, you deserve the truth. She took me to a room and tried to seduce me but I didn’t fall, I swear, I didn’t touch her” He explained and Isabelle shook her head furiously.

“Do you think I’m a fool? So how was she able to take a picture of you in her bed, both naked?” She replied angrily.

“Take a look at these pictures, she was the one naked not me, I swear I didn’t do anything to her” He pleaded, staring at her eyes.

He collected the phone and checked the pictures, zooming into them, showing her that his eyes were closed and he wasn’t naked.

She was half convinced when she saw a part of his shirt, he hugged her closely, wiping her tears away.

“I’m sorry, believe me, I didn’t touch her” He pleaded.

“Why would you go to the room with her.. She might try to blackmail you”

“Shh, let’s forget about all that, we will find a solution later. Let’s go back” He advised, placing a gentle kiss on her lips.

After a few seconds, she agreed to go back to the movie set. She walked inside and Elena stared at her with a sly smile.

Alessandro tightened his grip on her hand and she took a deep breath.

Elena was expecting Isabelle to push Alessandro away and she walked towards them furiously.

“I enjoyed last night, thanks a lot Alessandro” Elena lied with a sexy smile and Isabelle held his hand tighter.

“Drop the act, we both know that nothing happened between us” Alessandro retorted.

“Really? Then tell it to the pictures” She replied and moved closer to him.

“I’ll stop at nothing to make you mine” She threatened and walked away.

A new actress who had been watching them from afar walked toward them, she looked young, poor and very humble.

“Hi.. I’m Brianna and I just got to the set, can you please take me to the costume room?” She questioned timidly and Isabelle glanced at her angrily.

“Do I look like a messenger? Don’t you have any respect?” Isabelle retorted and Alessandro held her hand.

“She’s new here, can’t you just help her out” Alessandro muttered and with a reluctant frown she began walking towards the costume room with Brianna following her, her head bowed as some actresses looked at her with disdain.

“Who do we have here? Did you bring one of your maids here? I’ve never seen anyone as wretched as this in my whole life, are you here to beg for money? Do you want leftover food too because I have lots for you?” Lilian mocked and Brianna bowed her head, tears falling from her cheek.

Angrily, Isabelle took her out. “Who are you?”

“I’m a new actress, I just got this role” She sniffed and Isabelle felt pity for her.

“Who’s your manager and why are you late?”

“The company assigned a very busy manager for me, she’s too busy to waste time on an upcoming actress like me and I just got notified about the role today” She replied, her tears increasing.

“Okay, stop crying. I’ll try to get you a new manager and help you” She replied out of pity and Brianna stared at her with her large blue eyes.

“Really?”

“Yea.. I think it’s time, clean your tears let’s go” Isabelle replied and Brianna hugged her tightly.

Together, they walked back to the set and Brianna got stares from everyone.

When it was her time to act, Isabelle was shocked that she could act so well yet had not been properly managed.

They ended the day and Brianna hugged Isabelle tightly before she left.

“Yuck, I could’ve developed a skin rash if I were to be hugged by that thing” Lilian mocked, Isabelle ignored her completely and went to meet Aurora.

Aurora was smiling sheepishly and Isabelle wondered why.

“Hmm, let me guess. Thomas had a huge dick and he invited you over to his house?” She teased and Aurora burst into laughter.

“Even better..”

“Then tell me”

“Okay, he.. he asked me to be the female lead for a new movie he would be producing!” Aurora confessed with a scream and they hugged each other happily.

“That’s great news, tell me about the movie. What did you guys do last night huh?” She questioned and they heard a distant scream and lots of people running to a particular direction.

Someone whispered to Lilian who had arrived and she powder her face, arranged her dress and walked out elegantly.

Out of curiosity, Aurora and Isabelle followed the crowd and were shocked to see Chris and Thomas, a few ladies passed out.

Some beckoned at them and Lilian stepped forward proudly lifting up her face.

“I feel honored to see big stars like you at this movie set, are you searching for the director?” She asked with her best smile when she noticed them looking around.

Thomas smiled when he saw Aurora and together, they walked towards them.

Lilian’s face turned red with fury while a few juniors muttered amongst themselves.

“Excuse me, are you mistaken. I’m Lilian, the star of this movie. I’ve been in the industry for quite a time now, these are some unknown nitwits who get roles the bad way” Lilian insulted, standing between Isabelle and Chris.

“I hear there’s a good seafood restaurant here, wanna go try out the food?” Chris asked, ignoring the raging Lilian and they nodded.

Without looking at the embarrassed and enraged Lilian, they left the movie set.

“What are you fools looking at? Get the hell out of here!” She screamed angrily and they scurried away.

“I’m surprised, why are you guys here?” Isabelle inquired as they entered Chris’s car while Alessandro followed grudgingly.

“We had nothing much to do and decided to come create a ruckus, those I was expecting a much better welcome but this is manageable” Thomas replied with a smile.

“Congratulations on your movie, Aurora has told me about it. I hope it’s a huge success”

“Congratulations on getting the second female lead, I hope we will work together for a long time” Thomas announced and Isabelle screamed with joy and hugged Chris excitedly while Aurora had an indignant look.

They all wore masks and went inside the restaurant.

“At the moment anybody knows who we are, run!” Thomas advised making Aurora laugh heartily.

“There’s nothing wrong with taking a few pictures with your fans and signing fee autographs, I think it’s fun” She disclosed.

“Fun until you get compressed with almost a hundred people in a small room or can’t walk on the street without at least 20 people asking for pictures and autographs or almost killed by your rival’s fan” Chris replied and Isabelle frowned.

“Why would anybody want you dead?”

“They would want you dead when you have beef with their favorite, you could get attacked, you’re lucky if no one tries to ruin your face with different chemicals.. Female actresses are prone to lots of terrible things” Chris disclosed and Isabelle coiled with fear, touching her smooth face.

“Gosh, I wouldn’t want anybody to hurt my smooth skin” She whispered and Chris touched it slightly, smiling.

Chris laughed when he saw a notification, they glanced at him curiously and he held his phone high, not wanting to show Isabelle.

She stood up, came to his side and tried to snatch it but he raised his hand higher and she jumped, struggling to take it.

She jumped countless times and right when she was about to take it, he moved very close to her, holding her waist as he angled his lips.

She stared at him, too frozen to react and he took off her mask, took his off and placed a slow gentle kiss on her lips.

They got accolades from people around and when he broke from the kiss the restaurant exploded with noise as people brought out their cameras.

“Run!” Thomas yelled as everyone rushed towards them, they ran to the car, got inside and sped off immediately, laughing hysterically after they had gotten far away from the restaurant.

Isabelle felt shy and different types of emotions inside her, she enjoyed the kiss and felt guilty inside her.

She avoided Chris’s gaze throughout the journey back.
