Sextuplets From Ruthless Love

Chapter 70

Startled, Jessica immediately sat back in her seat obediently.

"Emmm... It's okay not to play. Anyway, I'm not very good at volleyball."

She wondered why Trevor kept picking on her.NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.

"Is this man so controlling over every woman he comes across?" she thought.

The man's mood brightened up a little when he saw Jessica sitting down obediently. His slender fingers tapped intermittently on the table.

Martin came over from a distance and said in a low voice, "Mr. Gulliford, Bennett is here."

Jessica's eyes lit up when she heard that.

"Bennett is here? Awesome! Watching Bennett is certainly much more important than joining a volleyball match. Fantastic!" she cheered in her mind.

"All right. Bring him over. Let him take a break tonight. He doesn't need to study," Trevor said while secretly peeking at Jessica's reaction.

Martin nodded and left. Soon after, Bennett was brought over by personnel.

Jessica looked intently at her son. The little boy three years ago had grown into a handsome young man. She somehow felt a little touched and excited about this discovery.

Although her son had not been around her for the past three years, she could still feel his excellence.

"Mr. Gulliford, you must be tired. Do you want something to drink?" Jessica stood up and said, her eyes riveted on the boy affectionately.

"Look at my boy! He's so cute!" she thought.

"It's all right. Thank you."

After living with Trevor for three years, Bennett had learned to ignore others' flattery toward him. He knew their gestures were not out of sincerity but as a means to please his father. "No worries. Let me know if you need anything."

Even Leah at the side was puzzled by Jessica's overzealous attitude toward Bennett.

"Is this woman a fool? She didn't even smile at a handsome and rich man like Trevor. Why is she so enthusiastic about this child? Is there really someone in this world who is dumb enough to want to be Trevor's daughter-in-law? I certainly hope not so," Leah pondered. Bennett nodded in his seat, took out a medical book, and buried himself in reading.

What Jessica did next almost shattered Leah's view of her.

"Bennett, are you hungry? Let's get you some pastries."

"I'm fine. Thank you," Bennett replied politely.

"Bennett, is the chair too hard for you? I can get you another one with a cushion."

"It's okay."

"Bennett, are you thirsty? Would you like some tea?"

"It's all right." "Bennett, are you feeling tired. Would you..."

"Ms. Lockett!" Bennett finally flipped his lid. He put down the book, raised her eyes impatiently to meet Jessiea's doting gaze, and said coldly, "Don't you think you've pleased the wrong person?"

"What?" Jessica answered in a daze.

The smile on the corner of her lips deepened when she saw Bennett's frustrated expression.

"God! My little Bennett is so serious and cute when he is angry. He is like a little angel," she mused.

"Ms. Lockett, there's no point in buttering me up. I don't have a penny. The money is all my dad's, so stop putting your effort into me."

Bennett clenched the medical book in his hand and glared at Jessica with hostility.

Many people had been trying to curry favor for him in the past three years, but this was his first time meeting someone who had gone far to this extent.

Meanwhile, Trevor and Leah merely stayed silent and watched the scene.

The man's grin grew wider.

Jessica was amused and provoked

further. "It's okay. Your father's asset will be yours sooner or later, so

might as well just please you now."

It was just a mother's joke to tease her child, but Leah's face turned pale instantly upon hearing that.

"This is too much! What are you talking about? Are you coveting Trevor's money?"
