Chapter 115
He had never forgotten about the matters Jessica told him all those years ago.
Trevor knew Maximilian was responsible for framing his mother. He didn't do anything because he couldn't bear to take action against Maximilian.
After all, Maximilian took care of him all these years. The love and nurture he had given Trevor all these years were way more than what Vincent gave him.
"It's okay. He is old. He won't be alive for long anyway. I'll let him enjoy the remainder of his life," Trevor mused inwardly.
"Mr. Gulliford, Old Mr. Gulliford is already displeased. If you don't show up again, I'm afraid he will be angry at you."
"Then, you tell him that I won't marry Leah. Let him know this. Even though I do not wish to disobey him, Leah has hurt a vital person to me. I won't let this matter slide." Trevor frowned. No matter the person, they shouldn't have laid hands on Jessica. "Is that okay, Mr. Gulliford?" Martin asked tentatively. He knew Maximilian's temper was terrible, and he
was not someone to be messed with.
He was aware that Maximilian would punish Trevor for disobeying his order.
"Go ahead then." Trevor waved his hands while taking a deep breath.
He was willing to be enemies with everyone in the world because of Jessica, as long as she didn't escape from his side.
Trevor pushed the door open and walked in. Jessica was on her phone.
"Are you interested in the Jackson family?" Trevor asked.
Even though Jessica had quickly hid her phone after Trevor walked in, he saw that she was scrolling through pieces of information about the Jackson family.
"I'm just looking around." Jessica shook her head. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
She mused inwardly, Luckily, Alfred gave me the fake identity of Jessica. If not, Trevor would surely suspect me, for I have too much concern about the Jackson family.
"Does it still hurt?" Trevor didn't press on. Instead, he touched the bandages on Jessica's abdomen gently.
"Better, Mr. Gulliford. I've been away from my house for so many days now. I'm sure my family members are concerned about my well-being. Can I leave the Gulliford residence now?" "No." Trevor was insistent.
He continued, "You cannot leave the
Gulliford residence at all. I can be
the middle man if you want to contact your family. This is a work-related injury, and I am
responsible for taking care of you."
"Work-related injury? I thought monetary compensation is enough?" Jessica frowned as a look of confusion appeared on her face.
He doesn't have to watch my every move even though he may be interested in me, right? she pondered.
"It's either you stay at the Gulliford residence, or I stay at your house so I can take care of you," Trevor added.
His lips curled into a smile of happiness as he looked at Jessica's puzzled expression.
For him, it was just a pipe dream to be able to stare at Jessica this way for the past three years. There was no feeling that could be compared to the peace and serenity he felt at the moment.
Jessica furrowed her brows helplessly. "It's okay. We will just stay at the Gutliford residence. The conditions are better here."
There was no way she was going to let Trevor into her house. After all, she feared that Trevor would take her kids away from her if he found out about their existence. "Good girl," Trevor complimented as he caressed Jessica's head gently.
The woman avoided his touch because she was not used to it. Instead, she grabbed the headboard to prop herself up.
Trevor grabbed Jessica's hand when he noticed she was leaving. He asked anxiously, "Where are you going?"
"Mr. Gulliford, I need to go to the toilet. Don't tell me I have to ask for your permission for that too?" Jessica frowned.
"Why is he so concerned about
where I'm going?" "Let me
accompany you," Trevor offered as
he quickly stood up. The man moved to chair away, seemingly serious about his words.
Jessica raised her head and looked at Trevor with a dumbfounded expression.
She thought, Is he crazy? Or did I not make myself clear? I'm going to the toilet!
"Mr. Gulliford, I'm heading to the toilet. I don't think it's convenient for you to tag along," Jessica said infuriatingly.
"I can support you since you are not feeling the best."
