Chapter 113
As arrogant as ever, Trevor was nonchalant when he made the threat. Then, he turned and walked toward the bedroom. "Martin! See our guest out!" Alfred furrowed his brows as he watched the man walk away. He cursed underneath his breath, "This bloody man."
"Trevor Gulliford! You've already done so many bad things to Jessica. Do you want to do this to another woman again?" He fumed.
Trevor stopped in his tracks when he heard Alfred's words.
A pang of pain struck Trevor. He couldn't breathe when he thought about the way Jessica had turned around and walked into moving traffic with a limp. Trevor kicked the ceramic decoration beside him as he panted heavily.
The housekeeper was stunned by Alfred's words as everyone in the Gulliford residence knew better than to mention Jessica in front of Trevor.
Meanwhile, a figure appeared around the corner.
Jessica was walking toward the men while clutching her wounded abdomen.
Trevor and Alfred immediately landed their gazes on her.
"Why did you come out? Be careful with your wounds!" Trevor quickly strode over to Jessica. He grabbed her arm as he stared at the bandages on her waist with a pained look on his face. Jessica peered at Trevor before fixing her gaze on Alfred.
She was scared that Trevor would make things difficult for Alfred. When she heard the noises earlier, she thought they had gotten into a fight.
Trevor felt an ache in his heart when he noticed Jessica's gaze on Alfred. He frowned before advising, "Please take care. Why don't you head back to the room first?"
Even though he was unhappy, Trevor's voice was still soft and gentle.
A flicker of pain flashed through Alfred's eyes when he saw Jessica's state. However, he didn't say anything.
Alfred knew he couldn't expose Jessica's identity. After all, he was aware of all the things that Trevor had done in the past three years.
He mused inwardly, "If Trevor knows
Jessica is Jessica, I won't ever have a chance to be with Jessica
anymore. Unless I become a more powerful man, then maybe it's
swngvel
possible. But, I need time to do that too."
Jessica breathed a sigh of relief when she noticed Alfred was well.
"Alfred had helped me so much all these years, and I owe so much to him. If he gets hurt because of me now, I don't know what I can do to repay him," she thought.
Trevor didn't utter a word as he supported Jessica to the bedroom. However, the dark expression on his face was a significant indicator of his feelings. Jessica inhaled sharply as she climbed into the bed.
Trevor asked, hiding his clenched
fists behind his back. "Are you two close? I've seen you guys eating together 'Not really." Feeling mixed emotions, Jessica answered
casually as she turned her attention toward the scene outside the window.
"Does he like you?" Trevor blurted as he could no longer stand it. "Or is he your husband?"NôvelDrama.Org content rights.
"It's not him," Jessica replied firmly.
Alfred was her savior, not her husband. Plus, she didn't have a husband either.
She owed so much to the Queen family, Samantha, and her kids.
With so much burden on her, Jessica didn't dare to think about having a lovey-dovey life with her husband. She had to use the remainder of her life to repay her debt.
Trevor unclasped his hands slightly when he heard her reply. He went on, "Do you have any food that you are craving? What do you want to do? Let me know. I can do anything you want."
He didn't want to probe further on these matters since Jessica was still sick. Even though he was jealous, he pretended nothing was happening because he cared about her feelings.
"Mr. Gulliford, why are you treating me so kindly? I don't understand. Does the company really need an employee like me? So much so that you have to treat me this way?" Jessica focused her gaze on Trevor.
Trevor's actions mystified her.
Jessica pondered, "There's no way
he could find out about my identity
so why is he treating me this way? Or did he find out about my identity? е That's why he is purposefully treating me this way now? That's not possible either. If that is the case, he will start torturing me again!"
