Rewriting My Heart's Fate

We were all filled with unparalleled passion for Evelyn Studio.

Finally, the day before the launch event, all the preparations were complete.

Sitting alone in the venue, I looked around at the meticulously arranged set-up. A surge of emotions welled up in my heart.

When I returned home, I noticed a massive black car parked in front of my house. The sleek, powerful lines of its body made it look like a devil ready to pounce.

My heart skipped a beat. Why was this beast suddenly here? Could it be a gift from Ethan?

Just as I was puzzling over it, Kevin clapped me on the shoulder with a cheeky grin. "Evelyn, this is a gift from Lianne and me! Congratulations on the grand opening of your studio!"

I stared at them in shock, momentarily lost for words. At that moment, I truly understood the meaning of the phrase "true friendship was revealed in times of adversity."

Having friends like them made me feel incredibly lucky.

"Thank you so much, I'm truly touched..." Tears welled up in my eyes as I gave them both a big hug.

"Don't mention it. You deserve it," Lianne said softly, patting my back. "We were actually thinking of getting you a bright red Mercedes, but this idiot insisted on getting you this thing instead..." She shot Kevin a glare before adding, "He said if you're going to get stronger, you need to tame a beast like this!"

"Oh, and didn't you say you want to learn how to drive? Well, here's your chance to go from a novice to a pro!" Kevin added, winking mischievously.

His words made me laugh despite my tears.

Hadn't I always wanted to change, to become stronger? Maybe taming this devil of a car would be the perfect starting point!

"But... where did you get the money for this? How much did it cost?" I asked in confusion.

"Don't worry about it. Do you think we'll ever run out of money in the future?" Kevin said with a sly smile.

Then, with an air of self-importance,

Challenger SRT Demon, 850 horsepower. It's like a wild stallion you can't easily tame. So... better get that driver's license first!"

I kicked off my high heels and pressed my bare foot on the gas pedal. A loud vroom echoed. The V8 engine roared ferociously, like a beast awakening from slumber. My heart surged with exhilaration.

As the tires screeched, the entire car began to shake violently, as if it might lose control at any moment and crash into something.

"Hey, Evelyn, stop! It's dangerous!" Lianne's and Kevin's faces turned pale as they yelled for me to stop.

However, the massive car's hood

lifted high, blocking my view. The front wheels were completely off the ground. Any harder on the gas, and the entire car might flip backward. It was extremely dangerous.

Yet, I felt an indescribable thrill. The speed increased, the wind roared past, and my hair flew wildly in all directions.

This speed, this passion-it was exactly what I had been yearning for.

I drove the demon of a car down the road, speeding without restrain, leaving behind all the shadows of the past.
