My Twins Baby 26
Regan POV
Pain. So much pain. I could feel the dried blood on my skin, feel the busted Hip I had, my body aching as I stood up and waited, the dread rising inside of me as I heard footsteps approaching the cell, Heather appeared in front of me, her expression mutinous, her eyes flashing as she unlocked the door and swung it open. She flattened her lips and made an angry motion for me to follow her, without uttering a word, and limped after her, barely making it up the stairs without incident, my breathing shallow as she stormed into the dining room, where my father was seated, along with Isabelle who was wringing her hands and looking highly nervous.
"Sit down" my father's voice brooked no arguments.
I sat, grateful to rest my body, wincing as the pain continued to shoot through me.
"You're an idiot Heather snarled, slamming a cup of coffee in front of my father and glaring at him.
I blinked, surprised to see that she was speaking to my father like that or using that tone of voice on him. He merely laughed at her and raised the cup to his lips, smiling to himself.noveldrama
"You think a mere boy is going to beat me love? I assure you that Xavier Dominion is nothing in comparison to me. Are you forgetting who trained him to begin with?" he told her as she glowered and shook her head, folding her hands across her chest and looking irritable. I wondered what this was about and why I had been brought here.
"Father, what if you lose?" Isabelle's face is a mask of worry "I simply cannot be banished from the pack house. What about my friends?" she wailed. "My popularity?" she pouted.
"You just had to go and challenge one of the Alpha twins to a duel, didn't you" Heather snarled, shaking her head and huffing, steam practically coming out of her cars. "The boy is younger, faster, and more agile than you. Do you think that he's going to let you off easy? He wants her" She shook her head fowards me as I listened, my heart in my throat "They both do for god knows whatever reason" she added bitterly.
Father had challenged the Alpha twins to a duel. For what purpose? I glanced towards my father questioningly, unable to help my curiosity.
"I challenged them on the provision that if they lose," he said in response with a low growl, while Isabelle continued to look panicked "they reject you as their mate and take Isabelle as their chosen one, as we all first agreed upon."
I almost laughed at the absurdity of it. Reject me? I had already rejected them, but it looked as though they had failed to mention that to anyone in the pack, let alone their parents. I cast my eyes on the table, wondering why they had brought me out here, knowing there would be some sort of ulterior motive for it. They hadn't just released me from the cell for the sake of it. No way.
"Calm down Isabelle" my father growled, growing tired of watching her wring her hands incessantly and just listen for heaven's sake. I have a plan that will fix all of this."
Of course, he did. He wouldn't leave all of this to chance, now, would he? That would have been far too honorable.
"What does this have to do with me?" I asked dully.
I just wanted to get whatever this was, over and done with.
"Every member of the pack is ordered to be there to bear witness to the duel," my father said with a crooked grin "That means you will have to be there too. Heather will help to clean you up and dress you in nice clothing so that you can look your best for it."

Isabelle looked on the verge of protesting but thought better of when she saw the fierce expression on my father's face. She quickly shut her mouth and silently fumed instead. She looked like a petulant teenager.
"You think makeup is going to fix all this?" I pointed at my face, most sneering at him.
"You'll have healed most of your superficial wounds by this afternoon, thanks to your shifter blood and makeup will cover the majority of it. Your clothes will cover the rest and you will as though everything is fine" he narrowed his eyes at me. "When the duel is over, you will do precisely as I'm about to instruct you and nothing more."
"What's that?" I asked coolly, leaning back in the chair and studying him closely.
He never failed to surprise me with his tricks and conniving attitude. What was he up to now? What did he need me for?
"Should I fail and that arrogant Xavier wins the duel" he sneered "which is unlikely, you will then step in and reject the twin alphas in front of everyone, forcing them to have to take Isabelle as their chosen mate in recompense. They won't have a choice. In order to save face, they'll take Isabelle and make her the luna, while the pack and they, shun you for doing the unthinkable and rejecting your fated mates."
"Why should I?" I asked, staring at him incredulously, unable to believe my ears. "Why should I reject them for yours or Isabelle's sake?"
My tone was bitter, and I was indignant. To be asked to do such a thing, raised my hackles and made me even angrier than I was already. My father had no scruples at all. I wasn't about to tell him I had already rejected them and they had apparently decided not to accept it because I knew instinctively, that would only further provoke his anger.
He grabbed me roughly by the chin, forcing me to look up at him. "Because if you don't" he growled, his fingers digging painfully into my flesh as fresh tears welled up in my eyes from the pain, "I can make your life a living hell, I will make it even worse than it already is" he snapped "not to mention Isabelle as well. You think you'll be safely ensconced in the pack house away from the both of us?" he smirked. "Heather will not be banished from the pack house and then there's Isabelle's
will be friends to contend with. The Alpha twins can't be with you every minute of the day, can they Regan?" he taunted as I blinked at him, taken aback by the venom in his voice and the glint in his eyes, "and there will come a time when you vulnerable and unprotected." He let go and I hastily breathed in fresh air, rubbing my chin where his fingers had no doubt left fresh marks, glaring hatefully at him. "You expect me to humiliate the Alpha twins in front of the entire pack?" I asked, swallowing hard at the thought of it.
"I expect you to do as I've requested. I have no doubts that I'll win but this is my backup plan and you better adhere to it.. unless you want to be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your miserable existence" he told me, his tone threatening.
Isabelle rose to her feet "I'm going to go get changed. Mother you're going to have to do a lot of work to get Regan to look even halfway decent" she said looking down her nose at me as I sat there motionless "and you're going to have to make sure her body is covered" she added, looking disgustedly at me "I cansee bruises all over her."
give a
any hint, any hint at all about what's happening here my father growled, looking me deep in the eyes as I flinched "I'll make sure you never see the light of day again. Is that understood?" he snarled.
30-you!
Perfectly. I could accept the Alpha twins and hope they managed to protect me from my father's wrath or humiliate them in front of the entire pack, rejecting them and therefore causing the entire pack to be angry with me, while still enduring my father's anger and consistent beatings. I could feel my heart feeling heavy as Heather gripped my arm and yanked me to my feet.
"Come on, I don't have a lot of time" she snapped "Your father is due out to the training grounds in a couple of hours, and 1 intend to make sure that I look my best as well, in support for him and my dear daughter."
There was
s no mention of me as she began to drag me towards the stairs, my father's eyes boring holes into me. I was about to be faced with an impossible decision, and neither one was panicularly appealing. Right now, I think, I would have preferred becoming a rogue and being banished from the pack for good.
