Chapter 23
Chapter 23.
Nelly’s POV.
“A deal,” | muttered. Alpha Kex’s expression turned gravely serious. “What kind of deal?” | asked, folding my arms across my chest.
“You can choose either to whip me,” he began, his voice calm and measured. “Or you can have a chance to tell me what it is you want, and as an Alpha | will grant it.”
I stared at him, my heart racing, my mind racing. This was an opportunity | couldn’t let pass, but | had to be careful. One wrong move and | could lose everything.
“| will take the chance,” | said, my voice steady and strong. | tried to look confident, “But not now,” | said, holding his gaze. “I will use it when it’s necessary.”
He nodded, his expression unreadable. “That's good,” he said, relief evident in his voice. “We have a deal.”
| released a breath | hadn’t realized | was holding, and climbed the chair. | removed the cuffs from his hands, my fingers trembling. He stood up, straightening his clothes and staring at me.
Suddenly, he drew me close to him, my body pressed against his. | could feel my nipples hard beneath my clothes, and my heart pounded in my chest. His eyes bore into mine, and | felt my breath catch in my throat.
He leaned down, his lips inching closer to mine. | closed my eyes, waiting for the inevitable, but instead | felt his warm breath on my neck as he whispered, “Let's go
home.”
| opened my eyes, a surge of disappointment coursing through me. But | nodded, not knowing what else to do.
He held my hand as we walked outside, and | felt a strange sense of comfort at his touch. We reached his car, and he opened the door for me. | looked at him, my brow furrowed confused.
“Aren't you getting in?” He asked, his voice soft and uncertain.
| nodded and slid into the car. He closed the door, and | waited for him to get into the driver’s seat. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

| caught a glimpse of him in the rearview mirror, and my heart stopped. He was talking to someone, his voice low and urgent. | sank back into the seat, as | closed my eyes.
Just a few minutes ago, he had opened the door for me, asked me to whip him, and now, we had some sort of deal.
As we pulled out of the parking lot, | heard him chuckle and | opened my eyes. “Looks like someone’s daydreaming,” he said, a playful lilt to his voice.
“Im not daydreaming!” | said, trying to sound affronted.
“Your cheeks are so red, you are obviously blushing,” he countered, a teasing grin on
his face.
| glanced at myself in the rearview mirror and sure enough, my face was bright red. | huffed, crossing my arms over my chest. “That’s not funny!” | protested. He laughed, a full, rich sound.
I stared at him, my mouth slightly agape. Alpha Kex was laughing. | had never seen him laugh before, not even when he was with Emily. The sound of his laughter was warm and deep, filling the car. | felt my lips tugging into a smile, unable to resist his mirth.
His laughter died down, and the car was suddenly filled with a comfortable silence. | looked out the window, a small smile playing on my lips. The world outside was bathed in a warm, golden light as the sun dipped lower in the sky. | closed my eyes, savoring the moment of peace. The feeling of contentment washed over me, and | let myself
relax.
The car came to a stop, jolting me out of my reverie. | opened my eyes and saw that we had arrived home. | stepped out of the car and looked around. The sun was now setting behind the hills, painting the sky in shades of pink and purple.
Aisha tackled me in a bear hug, almost knocking me off my feet. “Did he do anything to you?” she said, her words tumbling out in a rush. “Where did he whip you?” She looked me up and down, searching for any sign of injury. | put my hands on her shoulders and looked her in the
eye.
“Chill, we didn’t have a fight.”
But she wasn’t convinced. “Harry said you both went out,” she said, “What happened?” Her eyes were wide and curious, and | could tell she was dying to know the details.
| put up a hand, gesturing for her to let me through the door. “At least let me enter first,” | said, a smile tugging at my lips.

She rolled her eyes, but stepped aside, letting me through the door.
We made our way to my room, and | collapsed onto the bed, my head resting in my hands.
“Nelly! My gist.”
“Chill, Aisha,” | said, “I will tell you what happened.”
She sat down next to me, her eyes fixed on my face, waiting for me to begin. | took a deep breath and began to recount what had happened that day.
Aisha’s eyes widened, and she looked at me in disbelief. “You are joking, right?” she asked, her voice incredulous.
“No, I’m not joking,” | said, my tone serious.
“| can’t believe that monster could laugh,” she said, shaking her head.
“Hey, let’s not call him that, okay?” | said, my voice soft.
“Whatever,” she said, and we both laughed.
Aisha sighed wistfully. “I wish we could go tell Emily right now,” she said.
“Do you want her to burst with jealousy?” | asked, a mischievous grin playing on my lips. She burst out laughing.
“Oh Goddess, that would be hilarious,” she said, her eyes sparkling with mirth. “I bet she would cry her eyes out.”

We both laughed at the thought of Emily's reaction, picturing her face turning red with
anger.
Aisha looked at me, concern etched on her face. “I’m so glad he didn’t hurt you,” she said, her voice soft and serious. “I couldn't forgive myself for what happened the last
time.”
| reached out and squeezed her hand. “It wasn’t your fault, Aisha,” | said, my voice firm.
“If | hadn’t pushed her, you wouldn’t have been whipped so badly.” She shook her head, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. “Shh, let’s not talk about it anymore,” | said, my voice gentle. “I’m fine now, and that’s all
that matters.
