I didn’t find anything strange as I listened on but I was so mesmerized by Freda’s laughter that I didn’t realize I had come out of my hiding. I was about to move away when Freda’s best friend Lyra, locked gazes with me and I froze. If I walked away now she would think I was stalking Freda and would immediately tell Freda. I hope you remember that your wife still has an apology to make at the council or is she not a**g by the rules?”, she scoffed and I kept mute. “I thought so” she stated as she walked closer to me till I could smell her scent so much that I was intoxicated. “Intimidate me and my friends one more time and you’ll regret it” she finished as she gave me one last glare and stormed off, her friends trailing behind her. I stood rooted to the ground as Freda’s harsh words replayed in my mind. I knew she hated me for what I did and the incident at the council was the last straw. She might never trust me again and the thought of that hurt me deeply. But the good thing is that human friend of hers doesn’t have a chance either and I smiled.
