ATLAS'S POV
The news of what my mother did to Sebastian was everywhere. I knew what that wolf did to my mother when she was younger and I also got to know that he tried to poison me too.
So, news like this was truly refreshing and I was proud of her. I had to hide how I really felt though, because the rules of this pack frowned on wolves taking the law into their hands.
"Mom, you should have at least told us about him. What if something had gone wrong?" I asked and she shrugged. She was in the arms of my father and he was stroking her hair, showing that he very much approved of what she had done. She had a proud smile on her face and I shook my head in disapproval. I took my phone and checked my messages and as expected I saw Conri's message. I was expecting him to come today. I h given him a leave to visit his parents since they no longer stayed in the pack. But, when he found out that my parents were visiting the pack from the Human world, he wanted to come back today to see them.
My eyes widened immediately when I saw his message. He was not the only one visiting. His parents were coming too.
I got up from my chair and began to pace up and down the room. My palms were sweaty.
"What is is wrong?" My parents and Aunt Freya all asked in unison. Their voices were filled with concern.
I swallowed, before answering the question. "Aunt Janice and Uncle Darius are coming along with Conri today."

the day my father retired as Alpha, Aunt Janice and Uncle Darius left the pack. They most probably did so because they could not bear being under the rule of an Alpha who lost a child of theirs. I mixed feelings when they left. I was both relieved and filled with guilt. Relieved that the pain of seeing their faces and remembering that I had lost their daughter will go away. I felt guilty because they were leaving the pack without their daughter because I was too careless to look after her. Now that they were visiting, I did not think I would face them. Their daughter was still missing and they would be leaving again without her. My heart squeezed in pain.
My parents walked up to me and for the first time since I became Alpha, they hugged me and began to caress my back.
"Everything will be okay," My father said and I shook my head. "Things can only become okay when I find Athena."
I pulled away from their hug and my father gave me a pat on my shoulders. "You will overcome this one too," He said reassuringly and I nodded. If he said that I would, I believed that I would.

Aunt Janice walked up to me too. She spread her arms wide for an embrace and with a huge smile on my face, I hugged her. "You're doing well, Alpha Atlas," She said with a smile on her face

She was looking at Aunt Janice and Uncle Darius like she was in some kind of trance.
Aunt Janice moved away from me, walked to her and cupped her cheeks. "Are you really her?" She asked and I wondered what that meant.
