Reclaiming My Broken Luna

Chapter 163: Misdiagnosis

Alpha Theron's POV

"You!" I held out a finger and angrily pointed at him when I heard his words. No words left my mouth as it bobbed up and down like a fish. I was unable to oppose a word that he said because this wasn't really his fault.

"Astrid had always been strange when she arrived," Doctor Smith spoke up for me. "We used the Lunar Elixir to save her, but it had no effect on recovering her wolf. When we used your blood to save her, although it didn't match, it still mysteriously worked and saved her," Doctor Smith paused; his words made me silent.

"Who could ever explain Astrid's condition? Even the most advanced Pack and the most knowledgeable Doctor in the world will never be able to find out what's wrong with her. This is something that has never happened before," Doctor Smith added with all honesty. I shifted my gaze on Astrid. I swallowed hard at the complexity of her condition. I don't even know what kind of danger she's in, which only adds to my fears.

"I'm sorry, Alpha, but I can't give you the answers that you need," Doctor Smith mumbled, his head lowered in fear.

"You're the doctor-you're supposed to have the answers!" I snapped, my voice laced with accusation as I glared at him, my brow furrowed in a fierce scowl.

Astrid's life is on the line, and instead of doing his job, he is kneeling in front of me, admitting defeat.

"I'm sorry, Alpha. I've examined her thoroughly, but there are still many things that remain unclear to me. I don't have any clear diagnosis to give you."

A tense silence hung in the air as soon as Doctor Smith uttered those dark words that shattered my hope. My expression shifted then, and the anger slowly drained from my features as I started to accept the complexity of Astrid's condition.

I guess all I had to do was wait for what Beta Alek would find out in his investigations.

A cold, steely determination took hold of my features when I was finally convinced by Doctor Smith's words.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Slowly, purposefully, I turned to face the Doctor, my eyes narrowing as I regarded him. "Clearly, you made a mistake in your previous diagnosis. Astrid's wolf never died, which explains what I saw earlier."

The Doctor's eyes widened when he heard my words. "I will never make a mistake on something as simple as this, Alpha. I've handled so many patients before. There's no way I would make mistakes. Even earlier, when I checked her, I couldn't sense any wolf from her." "Doctor Smith, you're growing old it's unavoidable to make mistakes with your age," I replied back with a cold voice.

"B-but-" Doctor Smith stammered, but I interrupted him.

"Astrid had lost a lot of blood during that time. Her pulse was naturally weak, which made it harder for her to sense her wolf. This is clearly a result of your misdiagnosis," I raised my voice a bit to let my words go through his head.

Doctor Smith lowered his gaze to the ground, unable to say anything. He is finally learning to understand what I was saying.

"There's nothing wrong with Astrid. It's just her wolf manifesting itself after her tong absence. It's normal for her welf to appear wild and feral since he just came back after a long time I explained as I made my own diagnosis of Astrid.

My piercing gaze remained fixed on Doctor Smith, noting every shift in his expression. "Do you agree with me, Doctor?" I asked him, my words cutting through the air like a razor's edge. I watched as Smith's expression shifted, the confidence draining from his features. He blinked, a flicker of realization dawning on his face.

Slowly, he lifted his gaze to meet

mine, and I saw the horror reflected in his eyes. "You are truly wise, Alpha," he breathed, his voice tinged with a mixture of fear and aweÌ..... I have made a terrible mistake"

I remained silent as he spoke. He has no choice but to go along with my words because I am the Alpha.

It doesn't matter what is real or not. My words are truer than anything.

"You are right," Smith continued, his shoulders slumping in defeat. "Astrid's wolf is still alive. I... I deserved to be punished for my error."

I scoffed at his words. "There's no need to go that far, but since you made a mistake, shouldn't you make amends, Doctor?" I asked, my tone leaving no room for argument.

Doctor Smith instantly bowed his head. "What do you want me to do, Alpha?" he asked with eagerness in his voice.

Seeing his eagerness to serve, I smiled. "Just go and explain the mistake you made. This was your mistake, isn't it? I shouldn't explain things to others for you."

The weight of my words seemed to settle over him, and I watched as a renewed sense of purpose slowly ignited in his gaze. "Of course, Alpha. I will do anything you ask for me." "You can go now," I replied and watched as he took his leave.

My gaze fell on Astrid again as soon as Doctor Smith left. Astrid still looks peaceful as she sleeps, having no idea of what is happening around her.

I had to ask Doctor Smith to lie and hide the truth. It was the only way I could hide the truth about Astrid.
