Chapter 397 Obedient Jesse makes people want to pinch
The girl looked at Nydia warily, obviously her long life of being bullied had made her maintain an instinctive wariness of people.
“Can I trust you?”
“You judge for yourself, and trust me if you feel you can.”
“I don’t know why they came for you.” The girl’s black and white eyes looked at Nydia.
Nydia sighed, “Well, it’s okay.”
She looked to Jesse, “Got any cash?”
“Mrs. Pascall, I do.” Vergil replied.
Jesse: “…” Asking you to talk more!
He took out his wallet and pulled ten hundreds out of it and handed them to Nydia.
Nydia froze at the sight of his wallet, but before she could take a second look, Jesse put the wallet away and the picture in it flashed by, but she saw it anyway, it was a picture of their family of four together.
“Here’s money for you, it’s going to be hard for you to live out there as a little girl, you take this money and at least you won’t go hungry in the short term.”
“This is my business card, you can call me when you are in trouble.”
The girl stared at her blankly, not reaching for the money and business card.
“You’re not trying to run out of here with the intention of starving to death, are you?” Nydia said with a smile.
“You, why …” She had seen Nydia ignore Idris and the others, towering over them as if she didn’t know the suffering of the bright world, yet she was willing to help her.
Nydia shoved the money into her hand, “Girls have to help girls because we are not money losers!”
“Thank you, I will live well, and I will return the money to you!” Said a deep bow, then turned and ran away.
“Jesse, you find someone to protect her.”
Jesse was full of displeasure, but did as he was told.
How can they be so nice to everyone else? Because they were all girls?
Blame him for not being a girl?
Nydia would laugh if she knew what Jesse was thinking.
“Maddie, let’s go, I’ll take you back, I’ve delayed you today.”
“No delay, I took several videos, I’ll send them all to you when I get back.”
“Good.”
Send Maddie back on the way, Jesse let someone go to the hotel side to the police station to talk about the situation, send Billy to the hospital to take care of his son.
Once Maddie got out of the car, Nydia put the seat down and half lay down exhausted.
It had been too tiring a night.
It was quite late when I got home, and Jesse, in a rare act of kindness, took a bath himself.
Nydia went to look for him after she finished washing her hair and showering and found him in his study.
However as soon as she saw him she noticed something unusual.
“You took a bath?”
Jesse froze, inexplicably vain, this can be found?
She quickly stepped forward and took his hand, relieved to see that nothing was wrong with it, “You scared the hell out of me, for crying out loud if the bath made your wound worse.”
“…” He is not a crybaby!
But when he thought of Nydia’s “you scared the hell out of me” comment, he was in a happy mood again.
“Wait a minute.”
Nydia ran to get the ointment and applied it to Jesse’s palm, then blowing gently on it, he felt his palm itchy and looked down to see her hair fluttering gently, and subconsciously reached out to lift her hair behind her ear.
As soon as he raised his hand, however, Nydia saw him, and he slightly embarrassedly went to get the papers on the table instead.
“This ointment will aid in the recovery of your wound, and in time the scar will fade a bit.” He said and wrapped him up again with gauze, “Just remove it tomorrow morning.”
“Hmm.”
Nydia sighed, if only she could be this well behaved all the time.
“Still not sleeping?”
“Need to take care of some stuff, you sleep first.”
“We have to go to Bass Center tomorrow, so don’t stay up too late.”
“Okay.”
Such a good Jesse makes you want to squeeze!Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
Wanted to squeeze his face.
She went back to the bedroom and contacted Theo about the family’s trip to Film City tomorrow, and Theo said that although he wouldn’t be there, he would make the arrangements.
The script has been shown to Ebenezer, who has expressed interest.
Oswald’s side has also applied, after which the audition will be held.
With Theo running things for her, she didn’t need to worry much, and she would have more time when she resigned from the Malone Group.
She found a thick photo album from her locker.
Looking through the photos of her mom and dad in the album, she just felt sad. Once she was the proud daughter of the sky, being pampered and raised in the palm of her hand, only to lose everything at the age of fifteen.
Mom and Dad, I miss you so much!
Jesse finished his business and went to his bedroom without finding Nydia, so he looked around and found her in Nydia’s own bedroom, and immediately his face was not too happy.
“Are you not going to sleep with me?”
Nydia lifted her head.
Jesse just felt his heart jerking.
“Don’t think I’m … if you’re crying,” he walked over and saw the photo album resting on her lap and instantly understood.
The little face full of tear marks I saw.
He reached out and took the person in his arms.
“I miss them so much.” The sobbing voice made Jesse’s heart very uncomfortable, only to feel a soft mess.
“Do you think it was me who got them killed?”
Jesse frowned, “What’s this nonsense?”
He wiped the tears off her face somewhat clumsily and also slightly rudely.
“You’re mean to me!” Nydia got more aggravated, tears snapping down her face.
“I didn’t.”
“Yes, you did! You were just mean to me!”
“…”
He took a tissue and wiped her tears, much more gently this time.
“They all say I’m, a plague … a sweeper, that I’m the one, who killed my parents.” She said while sobbing, the words were broken.
“Don’t cry, crying words can’t be said clearly.” Jesse said somewhat helplessly.
“Jesse, get out of here!” Nydia directly exploded, pushing and shoving to let him go.
“Okay, okay, I was wrong.” Jesse held her in his arms and let her cry on his shoulder, “You’re not a calamity or a sweeper, you’re Nydia, the one and only Nydia, you didn’t get your parents killed.”
His gentle, low voice spoke slowly in her ear, seemingly with great power.
“It’s true I didn’t get them killed?” Her eyes were red with tears, her nasal voice was heavy and muffled.
“No!” The two simple words were what settled Nydia’s heart.
She wrapped her arms around Jesse’s neck, tears and snot misled on his body.
Jesse: “…”
The bath was in vain.
Nydia finally cried enough, took a tissue to wipe her tears clean, only occasionally still a twitch, looking like a poor little rabbit.
Jesse’s hand rubbed her head, and wanted to pinch her face, but resisted.
“Can I … wipe it off for you?” Nydia was a little embarrassed to take the wet wipes to Jesse to wipe the tears on his neck.
“Are you disgusted enough to want to go take a new shower?” She looked at him with an expression on her face as if: if you dare to say yes, I dare to cry.
“No.” Jesse immediately denied it, but said with a twist, “If you wash it for me, I can go take another one.”
