Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 356 Nydia gets angry at Jesse

Jesse immediately denied it, but then admitted it.

“Well, I wanted to give it a try.”

“Are you crazy?” She had just started feeling better, and he dared to hold her? It wasn’t a dream, he had actually carried her to the bathroom and back! If she had been more alert at the time, she wouldn’t have let him do that!

“I asked you earlier if you had lifted anything heavy, and you said no.”

“You’re not heavy.”

“…” Damn it, she didn’t know how to respond to that!

Nydia was furious but couldn’t express it. After all, he was holding her, and she couldn’t show any other emotions. Otherwise, Jesse, being as smart as he was, would start to suspect and wouldn’t cooperate properly. He might even go crazy again because of her blocking his five senses.

She decided to ignore him.

“Aren’t you going to give me a massage?”

“Forget it!” Nydia replied angrily.

“Why are you reacting so strongly?” Jesse frowned.

Nydia’s face stiffened, then she said angrily, “I’m just worried that you’ll hurt yourself again after making so much progress!”

“Am I that important to you?” Jesse looked at her eyes and saw her urgent emotions. Was she caring for him?

“Of course you are!” She yelled, noticing his change in expression. “Otherwise, you’ll get angry again.”

Jesse’s expression darkened. “Don’t worry. You’ll be far away from me by then, and you won’t see me go crazy!”

Nydia was stunned. She didn’t expect Jesse to suddenly become unhappy.

“Hey…” She poked his arm.

“Don’t touch me!” His icy tone sent a chill down Nydia’s spine, and she immediately lost interest in comforting him.Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

She lay down and looked at the ceiling. He was always like this, sometimes showering her with love and attention, and sometimes dragging her into hell with him, leaving her suffering and tormented by the chains of hell.

The bedroom was warm enough, but she felt cold and pulled the blanket tighter. In doing so, she accidentally pulled Jesse’s side of the blanket over. She didn’t notice this and just felt movement next to her. She looked over and saw Jesse getting up.

She stared at him, thinking that he didn’t want to sleep in the same bed as her. “If you don’t want to sleep, then don’t. If you’re tough enough, sleep on the floor!”

But then she saw Jesse grab another blanket and come back to bed.

They each covered themselves with their own blankets, clearly on the same bed but seemingly in two different worlds.

They slept with their backs to each other, with a significant gap in between.

Worried that Jesse wouldn’t be able to sleep, Nydia quietly took out something to help him fall asleep.

Once she was sure that Jesse was asleep, she got up to check his legs.

After figuring out what was wrong, she felt both angry and relieved.

The damage wasn’t too severe, but the treatment would need to be adjusted, which might prolong the healing process.

Looking at Jesse’s peaceful sleeping face, Nydia couldn’t help but want to bite him.

Did he have to hold her when he knew that her legs were so bad, just to show his strength?

It was a pity that she wasn’t in her right mind at the time.

Otherwise, she would have been able to experience what it was like to be carried like a princess.

It had been almost six years since they got married, and she still hadn’t experienced it. That was a bit regretful.

When Jesse woke up in the morning, he felt that his legs weren’t as painful as before, but there was still some discomfort.

He saw Nydia get up, so he hesitated for a moment before speaking. “I used up the bath sachet you gave me before.”

Nydia looked at him in surprise. She didn’t expect him to ask for more, even though she knew he had been using them and was almost out.

She was also surprised that he asked after their argument the night before. “I’ll give you some tonight.” She didn’t want to tease him since the sachet was important, and she didn’t want to risk his legs not getting better.

Jesse looked away, even though he tried to keep a straight face, he was clearly a bit embarrassed. During breakfast, Nydia asked their two children what they had been up to these past few days.

“We were good and didn’t do anything bad!” Molly was the first to speak up.

“Is that so? Why do I feel like Molly saying that is a sign of guilt?” Nydia laughed.

“I’m not guilty. Otherwise, why don’t you ask brother?” Molly quickly passed the blame to her brother.

Tavish told Nydia briefly about their past few days, but he left out the intellectual challenge he and Molly participated in. They both made it into the top three thousand, and each had earned one hundred dollars in their accounts, which was equivalent to the entry fee. If they continued to advance, they would earn even more money.

For Molly, this isn’t doing something bad, it’s making money!

Nydia thinks that both of her kids are less troublesome than Jesse.

After arriving at the company, she prepared for the meeting as she was attending a designer seminar and needed to present during the meeting.

Before the meeting, she waited for the stock market to open.

When it opened, she saw that Evans’ stocks had indeed opened high, so she decided to buy in. According to the current situation, Evans’ stocks would continue to rise, and she could make a quick profit. Then she took a look at Pascall’s stocks, which were making her uneasy as they were in the red.

She clicked on the discussion forum and saw that everyone was cursing.

“Hurry up and sell, I suspect that Pascall’s will hit the limit down today!”

“Doesn’t Jesse have anything to say? Is he being a coward?”

“Hey, Jessie, are you trading stocks?” Linda came to the company today and saw Nydia looking at the stock market.

“Yeah, just trying to make some extra money.”

“Pascall’s stock is off to a terrible start today, and I have a feeling it will continue to fall.”

“Yeah, it’s really bad.” Nydia smiled awkwardly; after all, it was her own stock, and she felt a bit guilty for the shareholders. “You didn’t buy any, did you?”

“I did.”

Nydia was stunned. “When did you buy it? Did you buy it before?”

“Just now.” Linda showed her the transaction record, and it was indeed just bought.

“You’re so brave!”

“No, no, no, I trust you guys. I’ll buy more when it falls further, I believe it will rise again.”

“Jessie, why don’t you buy some too? It must be fun to make money with your husband’s money.” Linda joked.

Nydia was planning to buy some too, but she thought she’d wait for it to fall a bit more because, based on her understanding of Barclay, his shady business tactics were likely not limited to this.

“I’ll buy later, see if I can buy at a lower price.”

“When you buy, let me know, and we’ll do it together.”

Nydia was speechless. “Do you really think so highly of me?”

“I don’t know why, but I always feel like you have a halo around you.” Linda chuckled. “Don’t feel pressured, I believe in Pascall’s. This will only be a temporary setback, and it may take off soon!”

“Okay, let’s go to the meeting.” They called Maddie to join them, and they all went to the conference room for the meeting.

After the director spoke, it was Nydia’s turn to give a summary report of the seminar and convey its core content.

“Consultant, is this what was discussed at the seminar? I’m worried that Nydia wasn’t paying attention,” Taylor was the first to challenge.

Zane frowned. “Yes, that was what was discussed at the seminar, but what are you trying to say?”

“Because Nydia went to the capital not for work, but for a love affair.”

“You went to the capital because Jesse went there on a business trip, right?”
