Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 354 Nydia’s Identity as the Boss is Discovered

Jesse and Nydia didn’t bother with Xavier and his wife. To them, a clown like Xavier was not worth their attention, especially now that the mistress had appeared. They could easily tear them apart for a year or two.

It was still early when they returned to the city, so Nydia went home first before heading to the restaurant.

“Boss, you finally came,” the manager breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing her. He was afraid she would stand up the customers again, as there had been a previous incident.

“Go attend to your duties.”

Nydia warmed up in her own kitchen first. Her body had been subjected to intense exercise over the past few days, and her arms were still sore, but she still had to prepare the dishes for the customers who had made reservations.

There weren’t too many people for lunch, so after she finished cooking, she quickly gave herself a few shots to ease the pain in her arms. Otherwise, her arms might not be able to hold up during dinner.

Seven o’clock in the evening.

A waiter hurriedly ran over to her.

“Boss, there’s a commotion in the lobby.”

“Let the manager handle it, and send me a video!”

It was not unusual for people to quarrel in the restaurant, so she wasn’t too worried.

However, when the waiter showed her the video, she realized that the people who were quarreling were Willette, Barclay, and Cuthbert.

How come this guy could always meet Willette every time he came? What kind of fate was this?

The cause, of course, was Cuthbert looking for trouble.

He was clearly a thorn in the flesh.

“Oh, we meet again. Why did you bring a different man today?” Willette glared at Cuthbert, her face turning red with anger. “Do you have a problem? Last time, I came with my friends, and this time, I came with my husband!”

“So this gentleman is your husband. Nice to meet you.” Cuthbert went over to shake hands with Barclay, who didn’t look very happy.

First, he didn’t like Cuthbert, who was always looking for trouble, and second, Cuthbert had said that Willette had brought a different man with her.

“I remember now. Your name is Barclay, right? On your wedding day, your wife’s lover came out and said the child in her belly was his?” Cuthbert’s words made Barclay’s face turn ashen. “We’re not acquainted, and I don’t want to talk to you!”

“Don’t be angry, don’t be angry. I just mentioned what was on my mind. You guys go ahead and eat, I won’t disturb you.” Cuthbert walked back to his seat.

Willette and Barclay were not in the mood to eat anymore, and Barclay was about to leave.

“Barclay, don’t go yet. I’ve reserved the chef’s signature dish at this restaurant. Let’s finish it before we leave. Don’t listen to that crazy dog’s nonsense.” Willette grabbed Barclay’s sleeve and pleaded.

“You think I haven’t embarrassed myself enough?” Barclay was angry.

Willette felt very wronged. “Are you still blaming me?”

Barclay took a deep breath to calm himself down. “Okay, let’s wait until we finish the chef’s signature dish before we leave.”

He couldn’t afford to fall out with Willette now. The company hadn’t recovered yet, and this round of operations wasn’t over yet. He had to be patient, or the Evans family would really be ruined by him.

Cuthbert, who was not far away, was surprised to see Willette and Barclay not leaving. “They’re not leaving? Is Barclay turning into a turtle? He’s really good at enduring things?”

“Cuthbert, don’t go too far. The restaurant owner is the one who will suffer if there’s trouble in their restaurant,” Albi scolded his son.

“I know when to stop. Didn’t I stop causing trouble?” Cuthbert sneered.

Their food arrived.

“Dad, try it and see if it tastes like Uncle’s cooking.” Albi tried three dishes and felt a bit of the taste of failure.

“It really does taste like it. It’s strange. Has your younger uncle taken on an apprentice?”

“I don’t know. He hasn’t been home for a long time, probably because he knows he’ll be pressured to get married if he goes home, so he doesn’t bother coming back.”

“Have you seen the restaurant owner?”

“I wanted to see him last time, but he didn’t want to meet me. He was very mysterious.”

“Cuthbert even suspects that it’s Chef Cannon’s restaurant.”

Albi thought for a moment. “It seems like something he would do, but he went to the capital a few days ago. I don’t know if he’s back yet.”

“Dad, the restaurant owner only comes on Sundays. I’m starting to think that it might be my younger uncle’s restaurant.”

“I have an idea.” Cuthbert lowered his voice. “Let’s wait around here. When the restaurant closes, the owner will come out, and we just need to see if my younger uncle is there.”

“I’ve noticed that this restaurant has three entrances, and one of them seems to be specifically for the owner. The owner should come out from that entrance,” said Darius.

“Darius is reliable,” Albi praised.

Cuthbert, “What? Isn’t this the method I suggested?”

“What if it’s really Uncle? Will he be angry if we confront him like this?”

“It won’t come to that. I just need to bring him back home. Your grandfather has been talking about him for a long time.”

After they finished eating, they went for a walk outside first. After all, the owner couldn’t be expected to get off work so early.

According to Cuthbert’s understanding, the restaurant would close at 9 o’clock, so they wouldn’t have to wait too long.

Nydia had no idea that someone was going to confront her. She had been busy all day and her hands and feet were no longer her own.

If Jesse hadn’t been so fierce with her, she wouldn’t have been so tired. Thinking about having to endure his ruthless treatment again tonight when she went back to sleep with him, she felt uneasy.NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.

After packing her things, she walked straight out from the kitchen door.

“Why is it a woman?”

Suddenly three burly men appeared, scaring Nydia who immediately grabbed her pepper spray.

“Nydia? Are you Nydia?”

The voice sounded familiar.

Nydia took a closer look, “Mr. Cannon?”

Albi, Cuthbert, and someone whose name she didn’t know.

“How come you guys are here?”

“We were going to ask you the same thing. How did you come out from this door? Where’s the restaurant owner?” Cuthbert was dumbfounded. He had been waiting for his nephew, and when he saw a woman, he had been thinking that his nephew had found a girlfriend. He didn’t expect it to be Nydia.

Nydia didn’t know how to answer his question. She stood frozen in place, her mind spinning.

Darius, on the other hand, asked, “You’re the owner of this restaurant, right?”

Because they didn’t see anyone else come out of this door, it meant that the person who had been cooking in the kitchen earlier was Nydia.

Nydia looked at Darius, surprised by his perceptiveness.

If it were someone else, she would have denied it, but standing in front of her was Albi.

“Mr. Cannon, I’m the one who opened this restaurant. I’m the owner of the Sunday special.” Might as well admit it. It’s not like it’s anything to be ashamed of.

“What? It’s you?” Cuthbert was still in shock. “But that makes sense. Your cooking was really delicious when you served it to me and Darius earlier.” He understood now.

“You guys haven’t been waiting for me to come out, have you?”

The three of them suddenly felt embarrassed.
