Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 348 Don’t You Know Zane Likes You?

Jesse put down his fork.

“Why aren’t you eating?” he asked.

“It’s not good,” Nydia replied.

“What?” Jesse thought it was delicious!

“Go cook me a bowl of noodles in the hotel kitchen,” Jesse instructed Nydia.

Nydia frowned. “Why do you want noodles when there are dishes available?”

“I feel like eating noodles,” Jesse said.

“I’ll order takeout for you,” she offered, taking out her phone to do so.

“No, thanks,” Jesse declined.

“…” Why did he have to be so stubborn?

Jesse leaned back in his chair and refused to touch his fork, as if waiting for Nydia to cook him noodles. This made Nydia furious.

“If you don’t want to eat, then go hungry!” she scolded him. “You’re so spoiled!”

However, Jesse kicked her out.

“This is my room. Leave,” he said coldly and firmly.

“Jesse, don’t be unreasonable!” Nydia slammed her fork on the table.

“Get out,” Jesse repeated.

Nydia got up and left, fuming. She pointed at Jesse and said, “Wait for me, Jesse! I’m going to cook you noodles right now!”

Jesse was taken aback, his face darkening.

Why did she want to sleep with him so badly? He had found it strange when she had insisted on sharing a room with him on his business trip to J City.

Now, she could have gone back to her own room, but instead she wanted to stay and cook him noodles.

He began to suspect that she had a motive.

During their bet, he had already found her behavior peculiar.

She had followed him to J City on his business trip, and had directly asked to share a room with him.

This situation only increased his suspicion.

He pinched his brow, trying to calm down, but a voice inside him kept saying: She’s lying to you, she must have a motive!

Nydia had no idea that Jesse was testing her. She just thought he was crazy, childish, and temperamental.

There were plenty of ingredients in the hotel, but she didn’t have much time to prepare them. So, she made him a bowl of tomato and egg noodles.

“Here, sir, enjoy!” she placed the noodles in front of him.

The aroma was enticing, and the tomato was rich, and the egg had a golden color.

However, it was still just a bowl of tomato and egg noodles, and it seemed bland.

Jesse didn’t look very satisfied with it.

However, Nydia ignored him and made a bowl for herself too. After all, the food that Sienna sent over had gone cold, and a steaming bowl of noodles was more suitable. Seeing how delicious Nydia’s food was, Jesse also started eating. The flavors were rich, with the sweet and sour taste of tomatoes, the soft aroma of eggs, and… the taste of meat, surprisingly. Jesse had always been able to tell whether something was cooked by Nydia or not because her food had layers of flavor. Even if there were multiple flavors, they wouldn’t overlap or become confused, but rather, one could taste each one individually, making cooking into an art form.

The doorbell rang.

“Who could it be this time?” Nydia teased.

Jesse glanced at the food on the table, which hadn’t decreased much.

“Is it your admirer coming to collect the takeout box?”

Nydia opened the door and was surprised to see Zane outside. “Zane, why are you here?”

Zane looked into the room and saw Jesse eating. “I came to tell you the time for tomorrow’s return. The plane leaves at eleven twenty in the morning.”

“Okay, I got it. Thank you for coming all this way to tell me.” Nydia smiled.

Although she wondered why he had come all this way to tell her such a small matter when she could have found out on Whatsapp.NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

Zane left after he finished speaking. Nydia only realized after she closed the door that maybe Zane had come to see if she had been beaten up.

“It looks like it’s your admirer, not mine,” Jesse said coldly.

“Eat your noodles and stop talking nonsense.” Nydia couldn’t believe that Zane could be her admirer.

When Jesse finished his noodles and put down his chopsticks, he wiped his mouth elegantly and revealed a cold smile. “Don’t you know that he likes you?”

Nydia was stunned for a moment before she confirmed, “It’s impossible!”

“You can go ask him.”

“Are you crazy? If I go over and ask him if he likes me, he’ll think I’m crazy!”

“I think Sienna likes you,” Nydia changed the subject.

Jesse frowned, clearly thinking it was nonsense. “Then why is she so attentive to us? She even invited us to dinner, and she personally delivered the food to you. She’s a CEO, after all.”

“Are you jealous?”

Nydia didn’t answer his question but continued, “But it’s not very convenient since you two are in a long-distance relationship.”

Jesse’s face turned white.

“You and Zane are not in a long-distance relationship, so it’s more convenient,” Jesse said. Nydia opened her mouth to argue, but then felt like she was being hypocritical, and didn’t want to continue the conversation. So she decided to take a shower instead.

“Here, wear this today,” Jesse handed her a bag.

Nydia looked at the bag suspiciously, then widened her eyes as she took out a very sexy nightgown.

“I’m not wearing this,” she put the gown back in the bag and pushed it towards Jesse.

“You don’t have the right to refuse. Didn’t you say you wanted to sleep with me for a month? Then please me,” Jesse said, and then pushed Nydia into the bathroom along with the gown.

Nydia stood in the bathroom holding the gown, feeling like something wasn’t right. Why did she have to please him? Wasn’t the condition for sleeping with him for a month winning the bet? How did it turn into pleasing him?

After showering, she looked at her pajamas and then back at the sexy nightgown, feeling conflicted. The gown was actually quite pretty, and she thought about trying it on just to see how it looked. Jesse wouldn’t be able to see her anyway. She could just take it off afterwards.

Thinking that way, she put on the black nightgown. She tied up all her hair except for a few loose strands that fell casually on her shoulders. Looking in the mirror, she appeared both casual and lazy, with her freshly washed face slightly flushed and tender. She was both pure and seductive.

Just as she was about to change out of the gown, the bathroom door opened and Nydia saw Jesse appear behind her in the mirror.

“How did you get in?” she turned around and leaned against the sink, feeling a bit flustered.

“You didn’t lock the door,” he said.

“…” Damn it!

Nydia wanted to kill herself. Why didn’t she lock the door? She was used to living in her bedroom with an attached bathroom, so she didn’t have the habit of locking the door.

“Just because I didn’t lock the door doesn’t mean you can come in!” she said with a bold face, but she was still guilty.

“It looks good on you,” Jesse complimented her while looking at her outfit.

Nydia became even more embarrassed. She had just firmly refused to wear it, but now Jesse had caught her wearing it.

She tightened her grip on the edge of the sink.

“You should leave. I’m not done yet,” she tried to sound calm and asked him to leave.

Jesse’s gaze swept over her, like a searchlight making her feel exposed. He walked over to her and pressed her against the sink.

She put her hands on his chest and whispered, “No.”

However, Jesse swallowed her voice and rolled his lips over hers. Although she wasn’t cold after just having taken a shower, being held by Jesse and the warmth of his suit made her shiver a little. She wanted to absorb more warmth.

“Didn’t you say no?” he smirked.

Nydia was angry and tried to push him away, but she was too weak to do so. Instead, she only made him more excited.

He held her tightly and deepened the kiss.
