Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 334 Jesse, be gentle

Nydia and Jesse returned home with their two children.

“Let me see your foot,” Nydia said.

Without hesitation, Nydia rested her foot on Jesse’s leg.

Jesse pinched her ankle and she cried out, “Pinch here, that’s it, it feels better when you pinch here.”

“You seem to know a lot now,” Jesse remarked.

“Of course, I’m a genius now,” Nydia replied.

Jesse snorted, clearly not believing her. “I don’t know if you’re a genius, but you’re still as foolish as ever.”

Nydia felt that Jesse was in a good mood today and was willing to talk to him more, especially since they had been getting along well for the past few days.

“Why am I foolish? I didn’t expect him to suddenly push me,” Nydia said. If she had been prepared, it wouldn’t have happened.

“You don’t expect a lot of things, but that doesn’t mean you’re not foolish,” Jesse replied.

“It’s none of your business whether I’m foolish or not. Jesse, be gentle!” Nydia winced in pain.

“We’re not divorced yet, so I can still take care of you,” Jesse said as he moved to a different spot and massaged her foot with less pressure, making it less painful and even somewhat pleasant.

Nydia didn’t argue and decided not to provoke him.

“I have to go to work after lunch,” Jesse said.

“Okay,” Nydia replied.

Jesse was surprisingly easy to talk to today.

“Does Xavier really have a love child?” Nydia couldn’t help but gossip.

“Yes,” Jesse replied.

“Then they must have had a fight. But Xavier is a nouveau riche, what kind of background does his wife have?” Nydia asked.

“His wife has a bit of a background, but it doesn’t matter now. Xavier has become powerful, and she won’t cause any trouble. If there is a fight, she won’t benefit from it,” Jesse explained.

“Men become bad when they become powerful,” Nydia sighed, looking at Jesse.

Jesse’s eyebrow twitched slightly as he said calmly, “I’ve always had money.”

Nydia couldn’t help but laugh. Jesse rarely made jokes.

“It’s okay, it doesn’t hurt anymore, and the sprain isn’t too serious,” Nydia said, having used some of Jesse’s strength to twist her ankle back into place.

Jesse saw that she was still planning on wearing high heels and spoke up, his slender fingers gripping her delicate ankle, the bone of her heel straight and slender, connecting to her calf, and her porcelain skin tempting him.

“Why not wear flat shoes?” Jesse suggested.

“It’s so cold outside and you’re still showing your ankles, Miss. Healer? Don’t you know you should keep them warm in the cold weather?” Nydia looked at him and asked, “Why are you so… nice today?” She actually wanted to say “moody” but didn’t dare.

Jesse replied with a confused expression, “What do you mean?”

Nydia looked down at her feet and decided to change her shoes to meet Jesse’s demand. She put on a pair of Martin boots with a small heel. She felt that it was better to avoid arguments during this final stage of the project. Living in a peaceful environment would be better for her child. Growing up in a quarrelsome environment would have a big impact on the child’s psychology.

She went to work at the company, and the supervisor asked her about the division of profits.

“Jessie, are you going to divide the winter collection the same way as the fall collection?”

“I have to talk to Mr. Malone first to see what he thinks, and I have to consider the welfare of our other designers.”

“Okay, go talk to Mr. Malone first.”This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Nydia knew that Willette was not doing well recently, and she could not make the decision herself. So she decided to talk to Cade. Cade’s principle was always to cast a long line to catch a big fish, and she was both a big fish and a long-term partner.

“Mr. Malone.” Nydia went to talk to Cade with a smile.

“Nydia, what’s the matter?” Cade was still polite to Nydia.

“I want to talk to you about the winter collection. You gave me over three million for the fall collection, and I appreciate it very much. So I feel embarrassed to ask for a share this time. But I know you have always taken care of me, and I know you wouldn’t want that. So how about we split the profit 70/30 this time? I’ll take 30.”

Cade felt a sharp pain in his heart. He wanted to tell Nydia that there would be no profit sharing for the winter collection to put pressure on her, but now she came to him and proposed a 70/30 split. It made him hesitate.

“You’re a thoughtful girl,” he said reluctantly.

“I mainly want to motivate the employees since we all suffered losses due to the natural disaster. So my proposal is to split the profits among all the designers in the design department. As for the assistants, they will receive a bonus.”

“What?” Cade felt like he was going to have a heart attack.

“But we definitely need to increase our sales and reach a certain sales target to earn more money. Anything extra will be split 70/30 between the designers and you. What do you think?”

Cade felt like Nydia was trying to kill him. “You go out first. I need to think about it,” he said through gritted teeth.

“Okay, I’ll prepare a plan and come back later,” Nydia said as she left the room.

After Nydia left the chairman’s office, Cade angrily kicked the desk. He deeply regretted letting Nydia into his company.

“Nydia, the three missing workers from before, two of them are dead,” Maddie immediately told Nydia upon seeing the news.

“What!” Nydia was shocked and immediately took out her phone to see the news. Sure enough, she saw the three workers had been found, but only one was alive, and the families of the two bodies claimed them, crying their hearts out.

“What a tragedy! How can the widows and orphans survive?” The design team gathered around to discuss the news.

“The evil capitalist family is truly heartless!” Nydia felt a sense of discomfort, thinking that Barclay was a ruthless and cold-blooded animal.

Jesse may have a sharp tongue, but he was actually a soft-hearted person who would never ignore the life and death of these workers. Pascall Group gave everyone a vacation due to heavy rain, except for those who lived nearby and could come to the company to handle things.

“He should have to pay a lot of money for this, right?”

“Who knows, maybe they’re just going through the motions and paying some money.”

“This matter is so big, it probably can’t just be going through the motions,” Nydia said.

“I heard that some people just pay money in front of the media and then find ways to get the money back later, using many vicious methods.”

“You know, Miss Malone is very unlucky. Something happened on her wedding day, and now her husband has gotten involved in a manslaughter lawsuit.” This comment reminded Nydia of something from a past life.

At that time, she and Jesse had encountered one misfortune after another, and others said she was a jinx who first killed her parents and then would harm her husband and child. The nicknames “bad luck” and “unlucky” followed her everywhere.

“Jessie, I think you should stay away from Miss Malone in the future, or you might suffer a big loss. It’s better to believe there is something than to believe there is nothing,” Taylor advised Nydia with a gentle smile.

“Don’t blame me for being nosy. I just want what’s best for you.” However, at that moment, someone tremblingly spoke, “Miss Malone!”

Everyone turned their heads and saw Willette standing there with a dark face.
