Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 306 Find a better stepmother for Tavish

Nydia came home from work and made two dishes.

Molly and Tavish came back and saw their mother still there, finally feeling relieved.

“Brother, Mom is real, she won’t leave,” Molly held Nydia’s wrist, “Your wrist is warm.”

Nydia chuckled, “Molly, do you think I am a ghost?”

“No, I’m just worried that Mommy is a beauty that walked out of a painting and might go back into the painting,” Molly replied.

Nydia laughed and pinched her nose, “You have such a sweet mouth. Later, I will make a small cake for you to eat.”

“Mom is a fairy, long live the fairy!” Molly exclaimed.

They sat on the chairs in the dining room, waiting for Jesse but he didn’t come back for dinner. They knew he wouldn’t come back.

“I’ll call Daddy,” Tavish said as he jumped off his chair and went to call Jesse.

“Hey, Daddy, are you coming home for dinner?” Tavish asked.

“No,” Jesse replied and hung up the phone without saying goodbye. Tavish returned to the dining room feeling disappointed.

“Daddy said he’s not coming back for dinner,” Tavish reported.

Molly got angry, “Dad is so stingy. I don’t want to talk to him anymore. Let’s eat by ourselves!”

After dinner, the three of them had their own emotions.

When Jesse came home at night, Nydia was making a small cake. But by the time she finished, Jesse had already gone to his study.

“Molly, Tavish, the cake is ready. Come and eat,” Nydia called out.

“What a beautiful cake. Mommy is really a fairy reincarnated,” Molly praised.

They tasted a bite and found it very delicious, sweet and soft.

“Mommy, you should eat too,” Tavish took another spoon and fed Nydia a bite.

What a good child Tavish was!

Nydia felt sad at the thought of them being separated. When she had no feelings for the two children before, she didn’t care. But now she felt that as long as they were okay, she didn’t care about anything else.

“I will go to Willette’s house for dinner tomorrow, so I won’t be able to have dinner with you,” Nydia said.

“Is it dangerous to go to the Malone family?” Tavish’s first thought was about danger.

“No, and I am very strong now. Ordinary people can’t hurt me,” Nydia replied.

Tavish nodded, “If you don’t come back by nine o’clock, we’ll go find you!”

“Okay.”

“I’ll bring some cake to Daddy,” Tavish cut a small piece with a knife and brought it to Jesse’s study.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

Jesse looked up and saw him, his eyes flashed with disappointment. “I’m not eating it, take it away,” Jesse said coldly, with a hint of disgust.

Tavish didn’t buy it and said directly, “The trash can is right at your feet. If you don’t want it, throw it away.”

After he finished speaking, he ran out, not giving Jesse a chance to respond.

Jesse felt like he had a fishbone stuck in his throat as he looked at the cake on the table. He subconsciously picked it up and was about to throw it into the trash can, but stopped just as he was about to do so.

His hand remained frozen in mid-air for about ten seconds, but in the end, he didn’t throw it away.

He knew it was made by her. For some reason, he could always tell when she made something.

He put the cake aside and continued with his work, but he couldn’t concentrate. His eyes kept glancing over to the cake.

In the end, he picked up a spoon and took a small scoop of cream. The flavor was rich and creamy, not too sweet, and had a soft texture.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. Jesse immediately put down his spoon, but when he looked at the cake, it looked like it had been eaten. He saw the door to the study was about to be pushed open, so he immediately threw the cake into the trash can.

Nydia happened to walk in at that moment and saw his action of throwing the cake away.

She paused for a moment but quickly continued walking forward, walking to the desk. However, her eyes grew colder.

“I came to find you to get back my phone, the new one I bought,” she said, looking directly at Jesse.

Jesse was still in the emotional state of frantically throwing the cake away. There was still bit of cream on his fingers, so he took a tissue to wipe it off.

Then he opened his desk drawer and took out the phone, handing it to Nydia.

Nydia took the phone and was about to leave. “I won’t be eating at home tomorrow. I’m going to have dinner with the Malone family. Although we’re getting divorced soon, I thought I should let you know.”

“You can ask the Malone family to find a suitable replacement for you as soon as possible, so there won’t be any gaps,” he said mockingly, making Nydia grip the phone tightly.

When she turned her head to look at him, she had a smile on her face. “The same goes for you. Find a better stepmother for Tavish. He’s had it too hard. And find someone with a good temper, so you won’t fight too much.” After thinking for a moment, she added, “As for cooking, I doubt anyone could be better than me.”

With that, she walked out, leaving Jesse alone in the study, feeling resentful.

Nydia breathed a sigh of relief when she retrieved her phone. She had been using this number for years and didn’t want to lose it. As for the old phone, it had already been broken at the time, so there was no need to retrieve it.

The next morning, as usual, Jesse left early. Nydia thought about decorating Jesse’s room and went to check, but the door was locked.

She found the same situation in the study.

She went around to the outside and found that the window was not locked, which gave her an idea.

When she returned home, she handed over the prepared cookies and chiffon cake to Molly and Tavish. “Take these to school and share them with your classmates.”

“I don’t want to give away Mommy’s food,” Molly hugged the cookies.

Seeing her reaction, Nydia couldn’t help but think of how jealous Jesse had been when someone else ate her food in the past.

“Silly girl, now you can tell everyone that Mommy is back.”

Molly’s eyes lit up. “Yeah, I’m a silly girl. Let’s go to school, brother!”

At school during break time, Molly shared the cookies and cake with her classmates. “Here, have some.”

“They’re so delicious! Molly, can I have more?” a classmate exclaimed.

Molly first shared with her friends who usually played with her. Other classmates came over, attracted by the aroma, and Molly generously shared with them. The small cookies were shaped like flowers, crispy and particularly delicious.

“Sherry, do you want some?” Molly asked, offering her a cookie.

Kids are inevitably greedy, and Sherry was only six years old, but she thought of what had happened during the parents’ meeting a few days ago and disdainfully slapped Molly’s hand. The cookie fell on the ground. “Who cares? The cookies I eat are all imported. I won’t eat these!”

“You made my cookie dirty,” Molly said coldly, looking at Sherry.

“So what? If you can’t bear to throw it away, just pick it up and eat it,” Sherry said arrogantly, looking at Molly.

Molly bent down and picked up the cookie, blew on it, but didn’t eat it. Instead, she put it in her pocket.

Tavish looked at Molly with some surprise. He felt that Molly was acting strangely today, calm and different from her usual self.

Just as he was thinking about Molly’s strange behavior, Sherry spoke up. “Don’t eat the cookies they brought. Look at Molly. She picked up a dirty cookie. They’re probably all dirty.”
