Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 244

“Don’t sleep, listen to me,” Jesse said.

“Okay.”

In fact, Nydia quite liked Jesse’s voice at this moment. It was lazy, with a hint of a nasal tone, and it sounded very gentle.

“Well, you know, he’s very skilled in medicine, so do you want to give it a try?”

She felt Jesse’s body tense up.

“What do you mean?” His voice instantly became cold again, and the guard that had just dissipated instantly spread out.

“I think if our doctor can’t cure you, we can try this kind of medicine, right? Chinese medicine is profound and extensive, and it’s still worth trying if you encounter a good doctor.”

“Which temple? Which Mr. Black?”

“Mr. Layton Black at the Still Lake Temple,” Nydia said, and then saw Jesse stand up.

Then he got out of bed and sat back in his wheelchair.

“Are you leaving?”

“I still have things to deal with. You go to sleep.”

His tone was already cold and distant.

Damn it!

Nydia really wanted to curse.

He really was ruthless!

If she slept with him again, she would be a fool!

After Jesse left, Nydia pounded the pillow in anger.

She just wanted him to be able to cure his legs. She gave him some advice, and he wasn’t even grateful, and now he’s upset?

She didn’t even know why he was upset!

Luckily, she didn’t mention wanting to look at his legs, or she probably would have had a falling out with him.

Nydia was so angry she couldn’t sleep. She had originally planned to get up and continue working on her comics, but she thought about having to go to the Malone Group to report tomorrow, so she forced herself to lie down and go to sleep.

Perhaps because she had expended too much energy before, she fell asleep grumbling.

Jesse, who had left, returned to his room and took out the medicine he needed for the massage, then began massaging his own legs.

However, while he was massaging, Nydia’s words kept echoing in his mind. She wanted him to go and cure his legs. If his legs were cured, would she…?

Had he been blinded by recent tenderness?

Had he fallen into this woven net and willingly allowed himself to be trapped, unwilling to struggle? If the net broke one day and he fell, he would be beyond redemption.

Nydia had set an alarm, so she got up early. She couldn’t be late on her first day at the company.

“Are you taking me to the Malone Group?” she asked Jesse.

“Is it appropriate?” Jesse asked coolly.

Just a simple sentence had irritated Nydia.

She was already unhappy last night, and this person continued to irritate her today.

If he didn’t want to take her, he should just say so. Why bother asking if it’s appropriate?

She didn’t say anything.

Molly and Tavish glanced at each other, both sensing that the atmosphere wasn’t good.

Tavish shook his head at her, indicating that she should stay out of it.

“Daddy, Mommy, we’ve finished eating and need to go to school now.”

“Okay, go ahead,” Nydia smiled at them, then quickly put on a cold face when she met Jesse’s eyes.

Jesse’s expression was the same.C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

After the children left, Nydia quickly changed her clothes and put on light makeup before leaving. She didn’t say anything to Jesse.

On the way to the company, Jesse’s unhappiness was once again felt by Vergil.

Before, even though the present always had a poker face, he knew that it was just a facade and that he was not actually in a neutral mood like he is now. He is more emotionally unstable and often unhappy.

“Vergil, go find out if there is Mr. Black in the Still Lake Temple and learn about his life.”

“Are you going to pray to Buddha?” Why is the president suddenly interested in temples?
