Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 219

He massaged for forty minutes before stopping, sweating all over, and both hands were sore. He messaged Vincent, reporting his condition.

[Jesse, you just have to persist. The better your muscle condition, the higher the success rate of the surgery. I will continue to find better ways!]This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

[Okay, thank you.]

Vincent didn’t dare to take risks with a surgery with only a 50% success rate. After that night, both Jesse and Nydia didn’t sleep well.

When they had breakfast, Nydia was in a bad state, feeling sluggish.

“You should come to the company at noon. Albi will visit today and have lunch with you. He wants to see you,” Jesse said to Nydia.

“He wants to see me?” Nydia finally perked up, “Did he ask to see me?”

“Yeah, he said he wanted to see his friend’s daughter.”

“Okay, I got it.”

In her father’s letter, he instructed her to find Albi instead of Cade, indicating that her father trusted Albi more, but Cade got ahead due to some coincidence.

Around noon, Nydia changed clothes and put on makeup before heading to the Pascall Group. When she arrived, she was immediately allowed in. She took the elevator up but didn’t go directly to the CEO’s office. Instead, she waited in the reception area outside.

“I’ve arrived, Vergil,” she messaged.

“Missus, I’ll be right there,” Vergil replied.

When Vergil received her message, he immediately came over. “Missus, Boss is currently with Mr. Cannon. I’ll take you over now.”

“Okay.”

“Missus, are you feeling alright?” Vergil noticed that Nydia seemed a bit listless today, unlike her usual vibrant self.

“I’m fine, just didn’t sleep well last night,” Nydia smiled.

Vergil didn’t say anything else and led Nydia to see Jesse and Albi. “Missus is here, sir,” Vergil announced.

When Jesse saw her, a flash of displeasure crossed his mind. Why didn’t she message him when she was coming? But he immediately introduced Nydia to Albi, “Nydia, this is Mr. Cannon.”

“Uncle Albi, it’s been so long,” Nydia’s use of the term “uncle” immediately brought the two closer.

“Yes, it’s been so long. You were just a little girl back then, and now you’re a mother of two,” Albi said with emotion.

“I remember back then, you weren’t as tall as you are now and used to fight with my son,”

Nydia suddenly felt embarrassed. When her parents were still alive, she was quite domineering and stubborn.

“Do you remember that little rascal? You used to call him Little Cuthbert, and he never accepted it,” Albi chuckled.

Cuthbert? Cuthbert Cannon? Nydia immediately remembered the time she met Cuthbert at Willette’s restaurant. She forgot that he was Albi’s son.

“I remember, we were both so young and mischievous.” She was only seven or eight years old back then, and Cuthbert was a troublemaker, and he did not admit that he was younger than Nydia, so they got into a fight. Nydia reminisced.

Cuthbert even got beaten up as a result.

“Time flies, let’s go eat,” Albi suggested.

Jesse and Nydia accompanied Albi to a restaurant, where they coincidentally ran into Cade, who was also dining there.

“What a coincidence, you’re also eating here?”

“Uncle, do you want to join us if you’re not accompanying your guest?” Nydia invited Cade.
