Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 145

Will it be in Jesse’s room?

While Jesse was not at home, Nydia went to his room to look for it. She opened the drawer of the bedside table and saw the ring box at a glance.

As expected!

Both wedding rings were there!

She took out her own ring and tried it on her ring finger. It fit perfectly and looked really beautiful.

Now, with a different mindset, she could see that Jesse had put a lot of effort into designing the rings. It was not just a large diamond, but had a unique design.

She remembered that Willette had even mocked Jesse at the time, saying he was too stingy and using these small diamonds to cover up the fact that she was pregnant and couldn’t run away. Willette even encouraged her to have an abortion.

Now, she was grateful that she didn’t have an abortion back then. Otherwise, even if she was reincarnated, she would never forgive herself.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

After putting the ring back, she left Jesse’s room.

In the evening, when Jesse came home, he went straight to his study. He seemed really busy lately.

Nydia knocked on the door and went in.

“Do you know where the wedding ring is? I can’t find it,” she asked.

Jesse clearly paused for a moment. They had been married for five years, but this was the first time Nydia had mentioned the wedding ring.

“I don’t know,” he responded coldly.

“I’ve searched everywhere, couldn’t find it. Did you lose it?” Nydia asked tentatively.

Jesse squeezed the mouse in his hand and it made a cracking sound.

His rage replaced the blackness in his eyes. But when he spoke, his tone was icy and sarcastic. “Yes, I lost it!”

Nydia knew he was getting irritated. If she pushed him further, he might have an episode. Sara had told her his bipolar disorder was severe, and he couldn’t handle much stress.

She had researched about the disorder, and knew that if it got worse, he might lose control and do irreversible things.

“Let me check your room. I don’t think you actually lost it,” she softened her voice.

“I said I lost it! Can’t you understand?” His voice was stern. He was struggling to suppress his anger.

“I understand, but I don’t believe you. Let me search for it. If I can’t find it, then I’ll believe you. But if I find it, that means you’re lying!” Nydia tried to reason with him.

Snap!

Nydia was startled as the mouse shattered on the ground beside her.

“Get out!” he glared at her. He couldn’t help but recall the scene when she threw his custom-made wedding ring on the floor, saying she would never wear it. What did she mean by bringing up the ring again? To humiliate him?

“I want to wear the wedding ring,” Nydia stood calmly in front of him, though her heart was racing. She was scared, but she knew he would never hurt her, even if he had an episode.

“Nydia, am I not saying it clear?” If he could stand up right now, he would strangle her and force her to swallow her words.

“Are you going to let me search for it?” She stared at him with determination.

Their misunderstanding was too deep. They needed a radical solution. Daily interaction wasn’t enough. He was always backing away, and she needed to push him.

“But you said you would never wear it!”

“I changed my mind.” It was more like a reincarnation than a change of mind.

Jesse felt like his breath was stuck in his throat. He wanted to strangle her.

“I’ll go search for it now!” Nydia turned around.

“How dare you!” Jesse roared, throwing an ashtray against the wall.
