“Nina, she’s not in the room. Where did she go?”

“I don’t know. She said not to bother her when she came back and went to her room. Did you check the bathroom?”

“I did. She’s nowhere to be found.”

It was strange. Where could she have gone after coming back home and not being in her room? Willette searched all over the house for Nydia.

Hearing the commotion outside, Nydia quietly opened the study door a crack. She was startled when she saw Willette’s back, but she knew this was her chance. She slipped out of the study and deliberately sneezed as she closed the door behind her.

“Ah-choo!” It conveniently masked the sound of the door locking.

Willette heard the noise and turned around to see Nydia standing behind her. “Nydia, where did you go? I couldn’t find you anywhere.”

“Oh, I went to the storage room to get something,” Nydia sneezed again. “It was quite dusty in there.” Willette saw her like this and didn’t suspect that she had entered the study. The Malones all knew that Cade’s study was locked and couldn’t be accessed without a key.

“I was looking for the old recipe books. It’s strange, I couldn’t find them.”

“You couldn’t find them? Oh well, forget about it. But why did you suddenly want to look for recipe books?” Willette felt guilty because she had already taken the recipe books.

“Just wanted to cook at home. Otherwise, I’d be bored.”

As she mentioned this, Willette immediately took Nydia back to her room.

“Nydia, let me ask you something. Is it true that Jesse is impotent? I’ve been thinking about it these past few days. How could this happen? He slept with you once and then you got pregnant with twins. What happened afterwards?”

Could that medicine really have that effect?

“You two… did not sleep together afterwards?” she hesitated before asking.

Nydia shook her head, “No.”

“Sister, thanks to the medicine you gave me, otherwise, I would have been bullied.” Nydia looked grateful, which made Willette think that Nydia hadn’t changed, it was just her own overthinking.

Willette smiled and took Nydia’s hand, “So, from now on, Nydia, you have to listen to me. I won’t harm you, and will help you get out of your misery.”

“Okay, I understand. Since my parents had an accident, you have been the best person to me!”

She hated so much in her heart, but her smile on her face was so bright.

She didn’t want to confront Willette for the time being.

“Sister, how are you and Brother-in-law doing?”

“We’ve made up.” Willette smiled sweetly, “He’s been good to me again, and we’ve cleared up the misunderstanding from before.”

“When are you getting married? You should have the wedding as soon as possible. Good men like Brother-in-law are hard to come by, otherwise, someone else might snatch him away.”

“I still want to test him. You know that men nowadays change once they get married.”

However, while Willette said this, she thought she should marry Barclay as soon as possible. Barclay has a successful career, great potential, is handsome and can make her happy. Nydia looked at her in shock, “Is that okay? Jesse will go crazy!”
