Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 118

Philbert was stunned. Was he recognized? That couldn’t be possible. He had never met Madam before!

“Hmm? Do I look familiar? I guess I just have a common face,” he laughed awkwardly, his facial muscles stiffening from the strain.

Nydia thought about it carefully, but couldn’t recall where she had seen him before. Perhaps he did just have a common face.

“Is today the day we sign the contract?” she asked.

“Yes, I have the contract with me,” Philbert replied, taking out the document.

“It seems like you really want to rent out this store,” Nydia commented.

“… ” Did he come off as too enthusiastic?

“Given the location and the price, there must be a lot of people interested in renting it. Why hasn’t it been rented out until now?” she asked.

“Mainly because of the high price. Everyone has been hesitant. But the price you offered today is very reasonable, and I didn’t want to delay any longer,” he lied, not really sure why he was saying that.

Nydia signed the contract, and felt relieved once she had it in her possession. She followed Philbert to the store to take a look around. There were still a lot of things left behind by the previous owner, making the place look messy. It would need a good cleaning and renovation.

“Ms. Wagner, we’ll tidy up these things for you. We’ll let you know when we’re finished, and then you can start with the renovation,” Philbert said.

“Okay, thank you.” Nydia was surprised that he was willing to help with the clean-up. She was happy about it.

Since she was already out, Nydia decided to go back to the Wagner Chateau to take a look. Everywhere she went was dusty, so she started cleaning up. This house held countless memories for her, and she had always been surrounded by love. She thought she was strong, but after losing her parents, she realized that she was nothing. She couldn’t even tell right from wrong.

Cleaning up the Wagner Chateau helped to calm her down, and she carefully sorted through the things left behind by her parents.

Meanwhile, Philbert had gone to report to Jesse about the situation. He returned to the office and went to see the boss in his office.

“Boss, this is the contract signed with Madam. Please have a look.” He stood nervously in front of Jesse, feeling a chill running through his body since he stepped into the office. Boss was known for being an icy moving mountain.

“35, 000?” Philbert’s scalp tightened with the unclear tone. Was this too expensive or too cheap?

“Madam proposed the price of 35, 000, and after some consideration, I thought it was appropriate to finalize this price.” He finished speaking and lowered his head, waiting for Jesse’s reaction.

“Okay, you handle the matters over there. Take care of the residents upstairs and clear the house as soon as possible.”

“Understood, I will handle it.”

After walking out of the office, he couldn’t help but sigh that Boss was really wealthy. He spent so much money buying the house and even subsidized the rent for the tenants upstairs, who naturally left happily.

However… why didn’t Boss let Madam know about it?

He thought for a moment and sent a message to Nydia:

[Ms. Wagner, when do you plan to renovate? Let me know.]

[Okay.]

After Nydia replied to the message, she put her phone aside and continued to pack her things.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

Each item held precious memories.

After finishing the outside, she returned to her own room, which was relatively tidy. She flipped through the books on the shelf at random.

Suddenly, a piece of paper fell from one of the books. She was wondering when she had put a note in the book. However, when she saw the content on the note, her nose started to feel sour.
