Hao Xinyue, The Curse King
Hao Xinyue, The Curse King
*RUMBLLLLEEE*
The ground started to shake, the gasps and screams of shock and horror filled the banquet hall.
Ming Yue gazed upon the nervous and screaming guests calmly before opening her mouth to speak.
“It’s starting…”
As the ground continued to shake, more guests started to run outside but the door couldn’t be opened,
thus it rose the anxiety within their hearts.
“What’s wrong with the door?! It can’t be opened!”
“Help! Help us!”
The guests became more panicked, the male guests started slamming their bodies to the door but to
no avail, it didn’t budge nor did it break. The other top family were nervous but seeing how calm the Wu
family members are, they became suspicious.
“Old Wu, I think you know what is happening right now.”
The one who spoke was an elder from Liu family. He walked toward Grandpa Wu in a calm manner,
there was a majestic aura coming from his body. The aura was at least on an equal level to Grandpa
Wu.
“I won’t lie to you Old Liu. Yes, we have been warned that is why we have prepared safety measures.”
Grandpa Wu replied.
“What did you mean by ‘You have been warned’? You know things will become like this and you still
carry on with the banquet?”
Another old man came over as he spoke rather loudly, making the frantic guests turn their heads
toward him. The old man was Elder Su, Su Qiuge’s grandfather.
“Yes but like I said Old Su, we have prepared safety measures.”
“What kind of safety measure do you have?! All of us are stuck in here!”
“Calm down Old Su, we should trust Old Wu’s judgment. After all, Old Wu won’t let anything happen to
us.” Old Liu stared at Grandpa Wu with a small grin on his face, there was a little excitement in his
eyes.
“Isn’t that right, Old Wu?” he added.
“Father, you shouldn’t be too excited.” Mr. Liu, the master of Liu family, warned his father after seeing
the excitement sparkled in his eyes.
“I won’t, I won’t.” Old Liu replied carelessly.
Seeing his best friend’s expression and noticing the excitement in his eyes, Grandpa Wu sighed
helplessly. He could never restrain this best friend of his when his interest was picked.
“Of course.” Grandpa Wu answered firmly. “There is no need to worry.”
“Hear that, Old Su? You can calm yourself down now.” Old Liu spoke in a casual manner.
Old Su snorted coldly before leaving the two old men behind, walking towards his own family who
stood not too far from Liu and Wu family members.
The ground was no longer shaking but soon the interior of the banquet hall started to change.
“Eeeeeeeeeekkk!!!!!”
*GAASSSSSSPPP!!!!*
Gasps and screams were heard as blood started seeping from the floor, creating puddles of blood here
and there. Black-colored hands started emerging from the walls and pillars as if trying to reach
something. Soon groaning and moaning of pain followed, rising the horror atmosphere at that hall to Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
the highest level.
Some of the female guests started to faint due to this change and Grandpa Wu turned his head to Ming
Yue.
“Little Yue, what is happening right now?”
“Ling Mao.” Ming Yue called upon her black cat and she appeared.
“Yes, master.” Ling Mao appeared in her cat form. Her golden eyes stared at Ming Yue, full of
reverence.
“I believe you know what is happening?”
“Yes. We are in Shenyuan Migong, the Maze of Abyss. It’s one of the deadliest magic arrays that Witch
Clan has. However…” Ling Mao’s cat face wrinkled slightly.
“However what?” Ming Yue asked.
“This magic array is complicated and not many people can do it. As far as I know, only one person can
create this magic array perfectly.”
“Who?”
“The Curse King but he disappeared thousand years ago.” Ling Mao answered.
“That is why I think this maze is the incomplete version of Shenyuan Migong.” she added.
Yes.. This magic array couldn’t be created so easily because of the tricky enchantment. Ling Mao knew
it because the first time she saw this magic array was when The Cursed King wanted to trap her lady
inside the maze, in order to capture her. The one who broke the array was, of course, her Lord, Zhong
Kui.
It was still fresh in Ling Mao’s mind, the battle between the Curse King and Ghost King. The battle
between two men in order to have one special woman.
“Curse King?” Ming Yue frowned, she had heard the name before.
At the time of the incident in school, she didn’t have any feelings after hearing the name. Now, she felt
that the name seemed familiar to her ears. It is as if the name used to be an important part of her heart.
There was a little bit of sadness, mixed with a little bit of anger and frustration.
‘Why anger?’
’and why there is also frustration in my heart?’
’Curse King.. who exactly are you..?’
However, just as she mused the last thought, a name suddenly appeared. As if clearing the fog of
confusion in her mind.
Hao Xinyue..

Somewhere in the mountain area of K city…
Deep inside a tomb that no one knew, there was a coffin. There was only silence inside that tomb but
soon the cover was blasted by a force from the inside.
Inside the stone coffin, a man was lying there. His skin was as pale as ghost, with long silky black hair,
strong jaw and when the man opened his eyes, it was purple, similar to the eyes of Zhong Kui, the
Ghost King.
The man stared in a daze before a smile appeared on his face. There was excitement in his purple
eyes and happiness was radiating from his face.
“...Chang’e.. finally you remember me.” He muttered softly, the tone in his voice was full of longing.
“This way, you and I can start once again. This time, there is no disturbance between us.”
Yes.. The man was Hao Xinyue..
The Curse King..
