Chapter 344 The Stupid Woman

As they drove home, the streetlights cast a warm glow on their path.

Madelyn leaned weakly against the seat, her cheeks flushed with a mix of excitement and guilt as they

had an intimate encounter and ignored Everest momentarily.

Benjamin couldn't resist stealing glances at her, captivated by the beautiful flush on her face that only

enhanced her allure.

Suddenly, a phone call interrupted their thoughts.

It was Kaleb.

He greeted and quickly got to the point, "Ben, Ms. Dylan has somehow discovered Kenneth's identity

and is determined to meet him!"

Benjamin inquired, "What about Ken's opinion?"

Kaleb responded with a cunning smile, "Ken suggests that we quietly observe the situation. If we want

to bring down the coal mine owners in the Southwest, we must gather sufficient evidence to demolish

them."

Benjamin understood the underlying shrewdness behind Kaleb's words and agreed, "That's excellent!

As for Everest, I'll have Madelyn bring him over tomorrow."

He ended the call, not bothering to mention Elizabeth as she was not worth mentioning.

Instead, he turned to Madelyn and shared, "Ken is truly eager to see Everest. And you'll take him to the

hotel."

Madelyn softly nodded in agreement.

Benjamin stole a few more glances at her, then cleared his throat.

"Are you still angry?" he asked.

Madelyn felt a hint of unease and averted her gaze.

Benjamin reached out and tenderly clasped her hand, his touch offering comfort.

"Madelyn, was your positive attitude spurred by the red wine or being in that apartment?" he inquired.

A blush crept up Madelyn's cheeks.

Benjamin let out a soft chuckle.

He realized that his feelings for her had deepened beyond what he had even expected.

...

Elizabeth finally managed to establish contact with Mr. Ryan in Vadiff.

She anxiously pleaded with Mr. Ryan's secretary, "Kaleb, please inquire if Mr. Ryan has any availability

to meet me?"

Kaleb replied, "Kenneth has a private schedule today and is unfortunately unavailable."

Elizabeth summoned her courage, relying on her youthful looks and seductive figure.

Leaning closer to Kaleb, she pleaded again meaningfully.

And he just casually draped his arm around her and replied, "How about I bring you inside later and

you can personally appeal to Mr. Ryan?"

Elizabeth gratefully nodded.

They arrived at the door of a luxurious suite, guarded by four imposing, black-clad bodyguards.

Elizabeth's mind buzzed with anticipation. If she could establish a connection with Mr. Ryan, the

resources and opportunities she could gain for her husband would be limitless. It would pave the way

for her own successful career as well.

Kaleb opened the door, revealing a spacious and tranquil suite.

On the carpet, a man and a child were engrossed in building blocks, creating an adorable scene.

The man, in his forties, exuded an air of refinement and handsomeness. His expression was

surprisingly gentle, contrary to the rumors of his ruthlessness.

The child, around four years old, had fair skin and delicate features. There was something strangely

familiar about him.

Kaleb leaned closer to Mr. Ryan and uttered, "Mr. Ryan, Ms. Dylan is here to request a favor."

Kenneth didn't raise his head, "Didn't I already mention that I'm not receiving any guests today?"

Kaleb felt a pang of embarrassment, while Elizabeth hurriedly interjected, "Mr. Ryan, I understand your

busy schedule. I'm here on behalf of my husband's concerns, and I won't let your help go in vain..."

Finally, Kenneth looked up her.

He studied the woman before him, her appearance seemingly respectable, but a glimmer of calculation

flickering in her face.

Regardless of others, this woman dared to act against Madelyn.

He wouldn't let her get away with it.

Kenneth, gracefully settling onto the sofa, smiled but said nothing.

Elizabeth was stiffened and embarrassed.

Just then, little Emerson, with a face filled with disappointment, voiced his grievances. "Great-uncle

Kenneth, are you not going to play with me anymore?"

Kenneth was momentarily taken aback. Hadn't this child just called him "dad" a moment ago?

He quickly squatted down, displaying immense patience towards the child.

Elizabeth, sensing an opportunity, reached into her purse and retrieved a thick stack of bills.

She carefully placed them into a red envelope and handed it to Emerson.

Growing up in poverty, little Emerson looked up at Kenneth with hopeful eyes. "Great-uncle Kenneth,

can I buy lots of milk tea with this?"

Kenneth gently caressed his head. "You should drink less milk tea."

Emerson sniffled and softly uttered, "Mommy can't afford to buy a lot. She can only get me one cup...

she never spends money on herself."

Kenneth's expression twisted slightly, the words tugging at his heartstrings.

He didn't shift attention to Elizabeth and summoned Kaleb to handle the matter.

As for Elizabeth, coaxed by skilled Kaleb, believed that she earned help from Kenneth successfully.

As they left the suite, Elizabeth grew more convinced that her future held prosperity, even looking down

upon her nouveau riche husband.

Coincidentally, Madelyn was on the first floor of the hotel.

She was sitting at a table with Eloise and enjoying their coffee.

Elizabeth, considering herself on the same level as them, deliberately approached their table.

"Madelyn, what a coincidence to see you here," she said, a hint of condescension in her voice.

Madelyn had mixed feelings about meeting.

It was Elizabeth who prepared those videos and caused Benjamin jealous.

Elizabeth continued to sneer, "Madelyn, I believe Benjamin will eventually grow tired of you, and you

will be kicked out of the Clark family."

Eloise raised an eyebrow, silently questioning where this crazy woman came from.

Madelyn chose not to engage in an argument with Elizabeth.

Just then, Kaleb appeared downstairs with the child.

The little one immediately rushed into Eloise's arms, addressing her as "mom" in a soft voice.

Elizabeth was taken aback. Why would the child from the suite call Eloise "mom"?

Kaleb smiled and intervened, "Do you two know each other, Ms. Dylan? Allow me to introduce.

Madelyn is Mr. Ryan's niece."

Elizabeth's expression darkened. She had suspected that Madelyn had influential connections, but she

hadn't expected her to be related to Mr. Ryan himself. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Just then, Kenneth also came down.

He first ruffled Emerson's hair before turning his attention to Madelyn, scolding her gently. "Why don't

you take care of yourself like Emerson? The air conditioning is so strong, and yet you're only

concerned about looking good!"

With those words, he promptly removed his own coat and placed it over Madelyn's legs.

He affectionately patted her head, exactly like when he treated Emerson.

Then he left with Kaleb.

Seated in the car, Kenneth sent a message to Eloise [Feeling jealous?]

Eloise replied. [I didn't!]

After a while, Kenneth's message finally came through. [Madelyn is part of the younger generation. Are

you jealous of her?]

Eloise found herself speechless. Did he deliberately make a show of picking up the coat just to send

this boring message?

There was one person, however, who cared a great deal -Elizabeth.

Despite originally looking down on Madelyn, witnessing how highly revered Kenneth treated her,

showering her with care and treating her like a child, she was upset!

Why did Madelyn always seem to have everything?

She came from a powerful family and even captivated Benjamin!

Madelyn took a sip of coffee and suggested, "Elizabeth, if you were to divorce your husband now,

perhaps you could still retain your assets."

Elizabeth clenched her teeth and replied, "Madelyn, are you intentionally trying to provoke me?"

Madelyn lowered her gaze, taking a moment before meeting Elizabeth's eyes again.

"In the past, you caused significant harm to Vivian's family. Even though you are now married, it

appears that you still plan to hurt others and get close to Benjamin."

Elizabeth was at a loss for words.

Just then, she received a message from Kaleb, informing her that Mr. Ryan was willing to collaborate

with her husband.

Instantly, Elizabeth felt reinvigorated.

She cast Madelyn a smug look. "We'll see!"

Eloise whispered to Madelyn, unable to contain her curiosity. "Madelyn, do you care about her?"

Madelyn shook her head and answered, "I find her repulsive! She caused immense harm to Vivian, and

now she's resorting to the same skills!"

Deciding not to dwell on the topic any further, Madelyn handed Eloise Kenneth's coat.

Eloise was taken aback.

A faint smile spread across Madelyn's face. "Ken wants you to wear it. I'm merely relaying his

message. He's concerned you might feel cold."

Eloise's cheeks flushed slightly, holding the coat that emitted a masculine scent.

There was something hard in the pocket.

Curiosity getting the better of her, Eloise reached inside and discovered a velvet box.

Slowly, she opened it...
