Chapter 41 Heroine
Viola and Kade lived life quietly despite the press undying thirst for more information about how life was for Viola. She was the talk of the Town, no day went by at a salon without women arguing about whether or not Viola deserved the hate she received from women initially. In the end, it was agreed that Viola was a victim of Emelia’s deception.
Viola was about to launch the opening of her art museum in a few weeks but upon request of a certain women rights activist, she made an appearance on the TV program. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
She was nervous as she stood backstage and waited for her introduction to be done.
“Are you nervous?”Kade asked and she nodded.
“Today I’ll be telling the whole world exactly what happened to me, no holding back. It just feels surreal.”
“You’re gonna crush it. Don’t worry,”
Viola took a deep breath and made way to the stage, answering all questions thrown at her with honesty. Most women in the show were sniffling because they were near tears due to Viola’s story.
“I just want to say, I was aware of all the nasty things being said about me back then. I know you didn’t know that it was all lies but… I would’ve been glad if there was one person who stood up for me.
Now I see all the apologies and I want to say that I’ve accepted them all. We’ve all judged people at one point in our lives but… I think what hurt more was that it was women who showed me the most hate. They said I faked being raped just to save my husband from ‘punishment he deserves’.
It was hard, it was…probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to endure because I was assaulted by my husband’s twin, that messed up my brain so badly that even my own husband terrified me. Now that the truth is out I guess I will just urge women to stop bashing other women without proof, instead let’s try to lift each other up and be there for each other just like I will always be here for every single woman who has been abused and assaulted like I was.” Viola said ending the interview.
The TV program hostess was already teary-eyed by the time Viola finished.
“You’re a very strong woman Viola, facing all of this on your own. We will also always be here for you so you never have to face it alone.”She said but Viola shook her head.
“I never went through it alone though, he was with me.”
“Who?”
“My husband Kade, let’s not forget that he and his brother despised each other –”
“- Klyde was an asshole!”a woman from the crowd yelled.
“Yes, he was. Klyde always wanted anything and everything my husband had even when it came to me – I’ve already said this. But with time my husband developed a habit of hating anything his brother liked or has connections with which was why he had a very hard time forgiving me for what I did and taking me back.
When I got raped I thought he’d never want anything to do with me and the babies I was carrying but he proved to me that I was wrong about him. He said he loved me no matter what and…I’m so happy to be have him as my head. He encouraged me through it all…he’s my everything.”Viola said, all the while looking at Kade where he stood backstage.
“I love you,”he mouthed to her and she shed a tear feeling very happy to have him.
The TV show ended and Viola launched her art museum, donating all the money she got from it to orphanages and women or young girls whose lives were greatly affected after sexual assault.
She became a heroine to several women all over the world and was always showered with compliments wherever she went.
It was no doubt that Viola was a strong woman but she would need to be even stronger when her children come of age because it’s best they hear all that has happened from her. She would need to break it down to them in a way that they wouldn’t be too traumatized.
Until then, she would enjoy her bond with her children and husband because they’re all she has left.
