Chapter 1516 The Arrival Of The Witchers

Chapter 1516 The Arrival Of The Witchers

Since the rising of his cultivation level had gotten out of his control, Darren decided not to stay outside.

He needed to go back immediately and find the Rule Soul Avatar.

After all, he had already collected tens of thousands of kilograms of soul crystals. They must be

enough to let the Rule Soul Avatar cure their uncle.

Darren didn't hesitate anymore. He flew directly towards the cave where the Rule Soul Avatar and the

others were.

He was very careful not to meet any creatures along his way.

Once he met a creature hostile to him, he was likely to reach the Superior God Realm because of the

intense killing intent.

During the first few days, Darren traveled safe and sound. However, on the tenth day, he fell into

trouble.

Around three thousand kilometers away from him, he saw a huge race gathered. The path was his

shortcut to go back to the cave. If he took a detour, he would definitely meet more abyss races.

Darren was in a dilemma. He had to pass by the path without being noticed by the race.

Then he suddenly thought of the underground.

Darren went under the ground like a steel needle, making sure that he wouldn't create any sound.

With his cultivation base, going underground was as easy as sinking into the water for him.

But he wasn't sure how deep he should go underground to avoid being detected by the race. Normally,

a strong race could cover the space underground with their god's sense all the time. Otherwise, they

would be doomed if there were other races sneaking attacks underneath.

Thus, Darren didn't stop going deeper. He kept descending for ten hours until he fell into the hot

magma.

Since his body was the True Fire Spiritual Body, the scorching hot magma was not enough to burn him.

"I think I'm safe now,"

Darren said as he stopped and began to slowly move forward. He didn't dare to move too fast, so if he

could feel a trace of god's sense, he could quickly dodge.

After walking forward for about a quarter of an hour, he didn't find anything unusual.

But far away, he saw a huge black sphere rolling in the hot magma ten kilometers in front of him.

"What's that?"

Darren observed carefully. He saw that from time to time, the huge black sphere burst out wisps of

black mist with a destructive aura. They were like countless tentacles waving.

It gave him a very strange feeling. He wondered how there could be such a thing in the depths of the

ground.

As it had piqued his curiosity, he tried to touch the black sphere with his god's sense.

When the wisp of his god's sense touched the black sphere, it suddenly spun faster. Then faint yellow

mist burst out and converged with the black mist.

Darren found it so shocking.

He didn't know what the black mist was, but he remembered that the faint yellow mist was the Archean

aura.

He recalled that the Archean relic found in the Tussle Region had come into being during the explosion

of a sphere.

Now, he saw a sphere again and felt an Archean aura. This made him believe that this sphere was also

a relic.

But if it was an Archean relic or not, he wasn't sure about it because this sphere emitted a kind of black

mist that was completely different from the Archean aura.

The sphere was about several kilometers in diameter. However, considering Darren's current situation,

he didn't want to find out more about it to avoid something untoward.

Eventually, he decided to move sideways to pass the sphere.

Several hours had passed. This time, Darren calculated the distance and figured that he was finally out

of the race's territory.

But he didn't get out of the underground immediately. Instead, he kept moving forward, thinking that it

was safer than traveling outside.

Some more time later, Darren finally felt that he was already near the place where the Rule Soul Avatar

and the others were.

However, the closer he got to their location, the more uneasy he felt.

He sped up and leaped upward like a flying sword.

Splash!

He entered the lake and got to the cave.

As he moved forward in the darkness, his heartbeat went inexplicably fast.

Then when he arrived at the empty stone chamber, he felt light all over his body. It was as if a mortal

had fallen from a cliff.

'Where are they?' he thought to himself.

"Xavier?"

he shouted. If this cave had been discovered, the Rule Soul Avatar must have hidden somewhere.

Darren called out the Rule Soul Avatar's name several times but got no response.

"Fuck!" he roared.

Then all of a sudden, wisps of dark green light appeared in the cave. Ancient and distant chants rang

out in his ears.

Strange runes condensed in the air and turned into ghost-like creatures.

"Witchers?" Darren exclaimed.

He was stunned to see their withered faces underneath their large black robes.

They looked very similar to the witchers he had seen before, but he felt that there was something

different.

Darren noticed some golden patterns on each of their black robes, but he couldn't understand what

they meant.

"We are the Twelve Great Witchers," one of them croaked.

His dry voice sounded like a parched human.

Finally, Darren came to his senses. He didn't care who they were. He just wanted to know why they

were here and where Elsa and the others were.

"Did you take Elsa?" he asked as his face darkened.

"We are not your enemies,"

said one of the Great Witchers.

"I'm asking you, where are they?" This time, his voice was firm, demanding an answer.

"Darren, calm down first. Trust us, we don't mean to harm you. Elsa and the rest are fine. Now, you

need to call back your avatar," the Great Witcher replied.

Although the Great Witchers didn't admit it directly, Darren understood that Elsa and the others were in

their hands, and the Rule Soul Avatar had escaped.

"Why should I believe you?" he roared.

"Think about your past. You will then remember what we have done," the Great Witcher coaxed.

Darren fell silent.

The witchers were mysterious and powerful when he first met them. But later, they had always shown

that they cared about and were willing to sacrifice everything for the human race.

He had also found out that the witchers had been once humans. They only gradually evolved into a

witcher race over millions of years to protect the human race.

"Okay," Darren agreed. After all, he had never regarded the witcher race as his enemy. He just got too

anxious just now when he found out that Elsa and the others were gone.

"We are here only because the senior leaders of the Ancestral Land ask us to. I believe that you

already know the reason," said one of the Great Witchers.

Darren thought for a while. He reckoned that it must be because of the tribulation that he was about to

undergo. NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

"Tell me the truth. Are you here to help me or to kill me?"

What he said made the Great Witchers look at him with new eyes. This proved that he knew about his

current situation very well.

The Twelve Great Witchers didn't answer Darren's question immediately. Instead, they communicated

with each other in a way that Darren couldn't understand.

A few moments later, one Great Witcher responded, "We really want to help you. But with our ability,

we can't escape from the detection of the chief gods. They can find out our whereabouts so easily."

What he said made Darren tremble.

They obviously wanted to wipe him out. How could they claim that they came here with no ill

intentions?

Darren could only smile bitterly. "I've already hidden into the abyss to minimize my threat to the human

race. Even so, they still won't let me go. Don't they really want to give me a chance?"
