Chapter 1504 Out Of Her Mind

Chapter 1504 Out Of Her Mind

"Attack me with all your might!"

Darren flew down and landed right in front of the Devil King.

"I don't think that's such a good idea," the Devil King said hesitantly.

"Are you asking for death?" Darren's expression darkened.

"Don't kill me, My Lord. I'll listen to your every order!"

Then, Darren charged towards the Devil King like a madman.

Clang!

The sound of metal colliding echoed all throughout the space. The Devil King, who had thrown his

hands up to block Darren's attack, was flung backwards violently upon impact. To his surprise, he saw

that his claws had been destroyed.

"What?!"

The Devil King stared at his mangled hands incredulously. What sort of defense was this? It was as

hard as meteoric iron! He began to tremble in fear.

"Ha-ha!" Darren smiled in satisfaction. He just proved his physical strength was more than enough to

resist the attack of a middle-level deputy god!

Even the Rule Soul Avatar, who had been quietly observing, felt that this was an incredible feat.

His real body, at the top level of the Celestial God Realm, was able to resist the attack of the deputy

god. At this point, Darren's body could definitely be considered a divine weapon.

"Congratulations," the Rule Soul Avatar said indifferently.

Darren nodded, but then his face fell. In a low voice, he said, "I have some bad news..."

"What is it?"

"It seems I have reached the limit of the Celestial God Realm." This meant that Darren could break

through to the Superior God Realm at any given time.

Hearing this, the Rule Soul Avatar frowned slightly.

"I didn't feel any signs pointing towards your breakthrough..." Even with the Rule Soul Avatar's Spirit

Power and keen senses, he hadn't felt any signs of Darren's breakthrough. There didn't seem to be any

improvements in his real body's realm.

The Rule Soul Avatar's frown deepened as he told Darren of his concerns.

"Is that so?" Darren's brows furrowed in confusion.

"Yes," the Rule Soul Avatar affirmed.

"I don't know about this. Let's go back first." Then, turning to the Devil King, Darren barked, "Lead the

way, in order to prove your sincerity."

"Yes, sir," the Devil King responded and bowed respectfully.

This time around, Darren and the Rule Soul Avatar moved much more cautiously. If they met another

giant beast, they were doomed.

After flying about a million kilometers, they came across a lake.

The water of the lake was so crystal clear, Darren felt he could stare into the depths of the lake if he

wanted to. Otherwise, the place was utterly silent and there was no living thing in sight.

"My Lord, please summon the child's parents. I plan to apologize to their face," the Devil King humbly

asked.

Darren and the Rule Soul Avatar didn't answer him initially. First, they checked the surroundings using

their god's sense. To their surprise, they found that there wasn't a single human being's aura.

There was absolutely no life here!

"Give the baby to me," Darren barked. Holding the baby in his arms, he surveyed the area cautiously.

Whirling to face the Devil King, Darren shouted angrily, "Don't lie to me! Where are the humans?"

The Devil King was rendered speechless. Didn't these two men know that this was where the human

race gathered?

"Tell me!" Darren roared. His sword intent began to surge like crazy.

Darren was no longer afraid of the Devil King. After all, his physical defense alone was enough to make

him feel invincible.

"Sir, I swear I'm not lying!" The Devil King trembled under Darren's fierce gaze. He remembered this

place clearly, and he had even ordered his subordinates to look for a baby here.

The Rule Soul Avatar frowned. Even he couldn't figure out if the devil was telling the truth or not.

"My real body, why not get the baby to cry for a while?"

Darren nodded, immediately catching on. The baby's parents must've been worried sick about the loss

of their child. Perhaps they would show themselves if they heard the baby's cry.

"Little baby, I'm sorry. I have to frighten you for a bit. Hopefully, your parents will show themselves after

this..."

Darren looked at the baby sympathetically. Then, he tossed it high into the air.

"Wah-wah. Wah-wah..." The baby immediately burst into tears, probably scared out of its wits.

Darren tried to hurry over to catch it.

Purr, purr...

Just then, the depths of the lake began to bubble.

It seemed as though the entire lake had come to a boil, its waters surging over menacingly.

Splash!

The water surged so violently that a wave as high as one hundred thousand feet rose rapidly.

Then, a black figure shot out from the wave's peak.

Bang!

Darren felt a dull pain in his chest as he was thrown into air.

The black figure caught the baby midair before tumbling to the ground. It was a woman with disheveled

hair and a dirty face. Her eyes were dark and sunken. Overall, she looked very haggard, as though she

hadn't rested in a long time.

Darren smashed into the ground several kilometers backwards. His mind whirled confusedly as he tried

to gather his bearings.

The power of this palm was very strong. If his body hadn't evolved, he would've been pulverized upon

impact.

Whoosh!

Wincing in pain, Darren got up and flew back to the lakeshore, landing in front of the woman.

"Please don't be angry. We are just here to send back your baby. We mean no harm," Darren

explained, raising his hands up.

The woman studied Darren and the Rule Soul Avatar with her dark eyes.

"Ah!"

Her eyes suddenly lit up in a frenzy, and a crazy smile crept on her face.

Despite the two of them being humans, the woman rushed madly towards Darren.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

She moved so fast that Darren was hit dozens of times in a row before he realized what was

happening.

The Rule Soul Avatar immediately sprang into action, activating all kinds of Trap Laws to obstruct the

woman. Simultaneously, he provided Darren with Resurrection Force.

Darren flew backwards a couple hundred meters, putting distance between him and the woman.

However, the woman had completely shifted her attention to the Devil King. In the blink of an eye, she

vanished. When she reappeared, her hand was firmly gripping the head of the Devil King.

"Ah!"

she roared incoherently and released her god's power.

"No!" the Devil King cried in horror. "Save me! Save me! You said you would let me live!"

The Devil King looked towards Darren desperately.

Bang!

It was futile. In a split second, his head had been crushed mercilessly.

With the help of the Resurrection Force, Darren's wounds healed quickly. When he had recovered, he

flew towards the woman once again.

"Could you please calm down? We are both humans!" Darren pleaded.

But the woman continued to glare at him maliciously. Before Darren could say another word, she

morphed into a shadow and attacked him again.

"My real body, she seems to have lost her mind. Let's retreat for now!"

The Rule Soul Avatar activated a law and fled with Darren.

The crazy woman didn't chase after them. Instead, she held her baby in her arms and looked at it

pitifully, tears streaming down her face.

Darren and the Rule Soul Avatar concealed themselves in the space. As they watched the woman

weep over her child, they couldn't help but feel sorry for her.

"I don't know what happened to her. She's crazy!"

"My real body, we must find the father of the baby," the Rule Soul Avatar reminded Darren.

"You're right!"

Darren suddenly realized that if the baby's mother was crazy, then what about its father?

"She is walking back to the lake. Let's follow her."

The Rule Soul Avatar and Darren stealthily moved forward in the space. Because the woman had lost

her mind, she probably didn't know how to be on guard, so she didn't notice the two of them following

her.

Quietly, the two of them followed the woman into the lake.

There, they found that there were twelve restrictions in the lake, including the Illusion Array, the Killing

Array, and the trap...

Fortunately, the Rule Soul Avatar had a strong control over the rule cultivation. These restrictions were

not particularly difficult for him to avoid, especially with the crazy woman leading the way.

After passing through the restrictions, the two of them followed the woman to a dark underground cave.

The woman carefully cradled the baby as she moved, as though she was afraid of losing the child.

The baby was quiet; it didn't let out any cries at all.

After walking for what seemed like an eternity, they all arrived at the end of the cave.

It was a stone room of over a hundred square meters. The decoration was very simple. There were

several stone chairs, an ice bed with cold air, and a pile of beast bones in a corner.

"My real body, that man's aura is very powerful." Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

The Rule Soul Avatar's attention fell on the ice bed, where a sickly-looking man lay.
