Chapter 1458 A Fierce Attack

The resounding laughter was an obvious sign that something was definitely amiss.

Instead of bolting, the powerful man outside waited quietly for the blood pass to break!

"I was too careless." Darren's expression darkened. His conscience wouldn't just let him leave Yolanda

to suffer. Unfortunately, his eagerness to save her was exactly what gave the powerful man a chance to

find a loophole.

Suddenly, several warriors at the top level of the Superior God Realm, along with Darren's

subordinates from the bloodsucker race, followed suit and rushed over to the blood pass.

The powerful man was a top warrior of the Chaotic Region, and even a Bloodsucker Prince was no

even match for him. Naturally, Darren and the others had no other choice but to quickly retreat.

They fled at an immense speed but a trail of gray aura quickly caught up with them. The speed of the

gray aura was inhuman.

Simultaneously, everyone began to get a bad feeling about what was about to happen. Roland

suddenly stopped and made a counterattack with his god's power.

"Darren, you have to get out of here. I'll manage the flank!" shouted Roland.

"Run away? That's ridiculous."

A shadow simply ignored Roland and stood intimidatingly in front of Darren and the others.

They stopped in their tracks at the sight of the shadow. Only the Rule Soul Avatar remained concealed

in the space.

"Sir, we're just here to explore the area. If we disturbed you in any way, we'll immediately take our

leave," explained Darren calmly.

"You think I was born yesterday? I didn't think anyone could get worse than the last patriarch of the

Chu Clan. At least he would've never blatantly lied," spat the shadow in reply.

A cold sweat ran down Darren as he found himself at a loss for words.

It turned out that the man knew who he was. He must've been watching the situation this entire time.

"What the hell do you want then? Get to the point!" replied Darren callously. Honorifics didn't seem to

matter anymore.

"Well, what else would I want? After I slay you, I'll occupy this last remaining land of the Chu Clan. I'll

finally be the Territory Enfeoffing Emperor of the Chaotic Region!" the man cackled.

Once Darren died and the Five Dangerous Areas were occupied, the Chu Clan would completely

disappear from Primitive Wilderness and become but a relic of history.

"So you mean there is nothing more to discuss here?" Darren asked.

"You're just some nobody. Why would I waste my precious time on you?" the man sneered.

Without a moment's hesitation, Darren summoned Elgin.

Boom!

A violent rumble shook through the space as blood vitality seemed to emerge from all spaces.

"How dare you attack my master! I'll make sure this will become your final resting place." Elgin stared

knives at the gray figure with his cold eyes.

"What?"

The gray figure had no idea that Darren had managed to subdue Elgin. He thought Elgin died trying to

make his way through the blood pass.

"Elgin, why did you double-cross your allies and stand on the side of this nobody? Was it because I

didn't come to save you that time? If so, I believe you've terribly misunderstood me. I'd been trying to

save you this entire time but I just couldn't manage to."

The gray figure made sure his tone was convincing, because the last thing he wanted to do was battle

Elgin.

After all, Elgin was a Bloodsucker Prince. Even if he couldn't defeat the gray figure, he could make for

an effective distraction.

Once Darren escaped to the Second Dangerous Area, the gray figure would have to wait a while

before he'd be able to kill him. The Second Dangerous Area was not something he could just break

through all by himself.

"Idiot, cut the bullshit. Either you leave by yourself, or you fight me to the death," replied Elgin coldly,

his stare unwavering.

"Humph, I didn't think you were the type to be this ungrateful!" The gray shadow was a little pissed.

Elgin's blood vitality soared. He spread his three pairs of bloody wings. After a few beastly roars, he

was ready to fight.

Tensions were high as Darren spoke to Carthy through his spiritual sense. "How is your father doing?"

he asked.

"Dear Master, Elgin took the initiative to give blood to my father. Thanks to Elgin, my father has finally

recovered," replied Carthy.

Actually, it was Darren who ordered Elgin to send blood to Carthy's father.

"That's amazing. Now Joris, take this opportunity to act and help Elgin deal with that man." Darren

instructed Joris through his spiritual sense.

"Yes, sir!"

The battle had finally begun. Around Darren, three warriors at the top level of the Superior God Realm

surrounded him in order to form a shield around him.

In a flash, two figures flashed in front of them at their maximum speeds. Their blood vitality and god's

power surged like a raging ocean.

"Run!"

Darren and the others quickly flew away to dodge the speedy attacks.

"Humph!"

The gray figure released his god's power to chase after Darren.

The god's power instantly caught up with Darren and landed right in front of him. The three men at the

top level of the Superior God Realm all released their strongest god's power in order to block the gray

aura.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The collision caused a huge explosion in the space. Darren and the others were sent ricocheting from

the shockwave. Roland, who was at the front line, was beaten bloody and was at the brink of death.

The gray figure was much too powerful for them. If Elgin weren't fighting against him, Darren and the

others would've been dead in an instant.

A strong chilly gust swept over from behind Darren.

"Watch out!"

Stewart and Jamison rushed in and blasted their powers in a frenzy, aiming at the space behind

Darren.

"Ha-ha, you think you can escape that easily?" said the gray shadow with a twisted smirk.

"Damn it! He has an avatar!"

The one who blocked the way of Darren and the others was a powerful avatar belonging to the gray

shadow.

Although it was just an ordinary avatar, its strength was infinitely close to a low-level Deputy God

Realm warrior!

Moreover, the avatar's main goal was obvious at this point. With no holds barred, he charged straight

towards Darren, intent on killing him in one fell swoop.

"We must all fight him together!" Darren shouted.

the target was not a real deputy god, anyone would have a hard time defending themselves!

"Joris, go and launch a surprise attack!" Darren summoned Joris from his small world.

A dazzling blood light burst out from where Darren was and shattered the gray shadow's avatar into

many pieces.

"Master, run! Elgin and I can hold him back for at least another fifteen minutes!" shouted Joris.

"Please be careful. As soon as I make it out of here, make a run for it as fast you can!"

Without any more hesitation, Darren flew to the Second Dangerous Area with the others.

While all this was going on, the Rule Soul Avatar stayed hiding in the space and continued to observe

the ongoing battle.

Joris' sudden appearance caught the gray shadow by surprise. He didn't expect that Darren had the

assistance of two Bloodsucker Princes.

Joris rushed over and transferred some blood to Elgin so that he could speed up his recovery. That

way, they could launch a joint attack and buy enough time for Darren to escape.

From the sidelines, a thought hit the Rule Soul Avatar and he wondered whether his Time Law could

possibly affect this powerful man.
