No More Waiting, She Chooses Love

Chapter 643

Chapter 643

"I mean, seriously," I mumbled under my breath.

Fanny was indeed a goddess in the medical field, always finding a way to tie back every solution to medicine.

She grabbed my hand, her voice tinged with concern, "Felicia, you need to move on. As great as Ernest was, he's gone. Staying stuck in the past isn't good for you or for him."

She glanced at the ring on my finger, "You and Conrad used to go to those mindfulness retreats, right? You must've heard that people can't move on to their next life if the living hold on to them too tightly. Some believe it holds their spirits back."

The notion that science meets mysticism at a certain point wasn't something I could outright deny. I remember my mom rambling about similar things when I was a kid.

"Felicia, let go of Ernest. Embrace life," Fanny urged me.

But it wasn't about letting go of Ernest. The circumstances surrounding his death just didn't sit right with me.

For the first time, I felt Fanny didn't quite get where I was coming from. But I couldn't blame her; anyone else in her shoes probably would've thought the same.

"Alright, let's drop it. You've had a long day with all the directing. Let me treat you to dinner," I changed the subject swiftly.

"Now that you're rolling in dough, I expect nothing but the best," Fanny said, half-joking.

But I insisted. With the kind of money I had, not spending it seemed like a waste.

So, I took her to the highest dining spot in Seabreeze City, followed by the trendiest bar around.

"What got into you today?" Fanny sensed something was off.

"Nothing's wrong. You were the one saying I couldn't move on. Look at me now, and you're freaking out," I retorted, not just taking Fanny to a bar but also calling over some charming guys for us.

"Have you lost your mind?" Fanny scolded.

"Maybe just for tonight," I leaned closer, "Before things get serious with Yates, why not let loose?"

"You're not just looking to let loose. You're up to something," Fanny knew me too well.

I just chuckled, arranging for the guys to sit next to us as we dived into life talks over drinks.

"How about taking one home?" Fanny pinched me for my ever so daring suggestion.

"Don't push it. I know what you're trying to do, but let's keep it within limits," she cautioned me.All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

"Cold truth, you think I'm obsessed. But I believe it's more than that. I want to test my theory," I revealed my true intention.

Fanny sighed, "I just hope your gut feeling is on the money."

She played along, and after leaving the bar, we each took a guy back to the hotel.

Of course, Fanny and I shared one room, leaving the guys in another.

Lying on the hotel bed, staring at the ceiling, Fanny broke the silence, "We've been here for an hour. If Ernest was really alive and saw you flirting around, he would've shown up by now." Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org

But nothing happened.

"Maybe he didn't see. Should I hire a paparazzi to make it public?" My suggestion was met with a kick from Fanny.

"Let's just sleep on it. Tomorrow, when you wake up, try to let go of the past and look forward," Fanny advised.

She went off to shower, leaving me lost in thought until my phone rang.

It was Dustin.

Did he somehow find out about our little escapade?

Before I could speak, Dustin's voice came through, "Felicia, there's been a major accident at the amusement park You need to come right away." Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
