No Bounds for the CEO’s Spoiling

Chapter 227: Qin Muxuan Was Missing

Gu Zijin gave the door a shove, asking the doctor before the table, “Where’s she? Where’s Qin Muxuan?” Gu Zijin’s eyes turned red. What he worried most had happened.

The doctor was taken aback. He answered in a trembling voice, “The patient… She… left the hospital in the morning… alone.”Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.

Hearing that, Gu Zijin continued, “Where did she go?”

“I have no idea… Our staff couldn’t stop her.”

After the doctor finished his words, Gu Zijin immediately turned around and left the hospital. However, he didn’t find Qin Muxuan though he searched everywhere she might be.

Sitting in the car, Gu Zijin punched the steering wheel to vent his anger.

‘Where are you, Qin Muxuan…’

His phone rang when he was getting desperate. Glancing at the caller ID, Gu Zijin pulled a long face.

He answered the phone, yelling. “Where’s Qin Muxuan?”

On the other side of the phone, Elderly Lady Gu replied calmly, “Come here for dinner with Xiaobai.” The old lady didn’t answer his question, but instructed him.

Gnashing, Gu Zijin warned, “Don’t hurt her, or I will take actions without scruple, Grandma.”

Gu Zijin uttered the last word through clenched teeth.

“Come back, Zijin. I believe you will listen to me.” Elderly Lady Gu ignored his rudeness. Gu Zijin had a gun to his head, so he would definitely return to the Gu’s house.

Gu Zijin hung up all of a sudden. Then he drove to Qin Xiaobai’s school. It was quite dark when the father and son arrived at the Gu’s house.

Elderly Lady Gu was delighted, while Mrs. Gu sat beside her with a frown.

Holding Qin Xiaobai’s hand, Gu Zijin walked in. Their expressions were the same. The father didn’t conceal the truth from his son. Qin Xiaobai had the right to be informed as Gu Zijin and Qin Muxuan’s son.

“Zijin’s back.” Elderly Lady Gu smiled at Gu Zijin. She thought her grandson and Yan Yuxiao made a perfect match.

“Where’s Qin Muxuan?” Gu Zijin asked again. He was impassive. The coldness in his eyes could freeze every creature.

“Take it easy. We can talk after dinner.” Elderly Lady Gu hobbled on crunches, stretching out her hand towards Mrs. Gu who showed a gloomy face. Mrs. Gu had no choice but to help the old lady walk to the dinning-table.

“Zijin’s back!” A woman with a nice figure walked out of the kitchen. Gu Zijin looked over, finding Yan Yuxiao was here.

Qin Xiaobai had been silent since he stepped into the house. However, when he saw Yan Yuxiao, his countenance changed drastically.

Gu Zijin knew the reason before he asked.

“Zijin, come here! These dishes are your favorite.” After Yan Yuxiao set the dishes on the table, she turned to Gu Zijin. Stretching out her hand, she tried to hold his hand and lead him to the table.

Gu Zijin threw off her hand in an instant, getting rid of Yan Yuxiao.

“Zijin, don’t get angry. Granny just hopes you can have dinner at home.” Yan Yuxiao continued with a grin.

Yan Yuxiao was overjoyed. ‘Finally, that little bitch will leave Gu Zijin. He’s mine.’

As Yan Yuxiao and Gu Zijin were at a deadlock, Elderly Lady Gu ordered, “Sit down and have dinner. Otherwise, she will be in danger.”

The old lady was quiet and almost menacing. It seemed that Gu Zijin had to stay and have dinner with them.

The man finally lifted his feet, heading towards the dinner-table.

Noticing that, Yan Yuxiao pulled his chair out and helped him in. Qin Xiaobai had to follow Gu Zijin, sitting beside his father.

At the table, Elderly Lady Gu and Yan Yuxiao enjoyed themselves. However, Gu Zijin, Qin Xiaobai and Mrs. Gu didn’t pick up their chopsticks after they sat down.

Mrs. Gu felt guilty. She knew that at the very beginning, but she thought she could persuade the old lady out of doing so. That was the reason she didn’t tell Gu Zijin in the first place.

She didn’t expect that the Yan family had Elderly Lady Gu brainwashed. The old lady decided to do it anyway. Even Mrs. Gu’s phone had been confiscated, so she couldn’t contact Gu Zijin.

“Come on! Xiaobai, help yourself. You can’t skip meals since you’re growing up.” Elderly Lady Gu loved her great-grandson. She offered Qin Xiaobai a pork rib.

Qin Xiaobai remained mute and motionless. He pouted, getting more depressed.

He didn’t expect that Elderly Lady Gu would lock his mother up, and threaten his father.

After a while, Elderly Lady Gu couldn’t keep her smile. Her face darkened.

“I can let her go, but you should promise me.” The old lady dropped the chopsticks, glaring at Gu Zijin.

The man understood what his grandma would suggest. Frowning, he glimpsed at Qin Xiaobai who sat beside him. In the end, Gu Zijin sighed, “Let’s talk in the study.”

The father was unwilling to let his son hear those words. The kid shouldn’t know his great-grandma wanted to separate his parents. It was cruel to a four-year-old child.

Though Qin Xiaobai was very mature for his age, he was still a child. Gu Zijin’s words mollified the old lady.

“All right.” Staring at Gu Zijin’s face, Elderly Lady Gu considered there might be room for negotiation. ‘As long as Gu Zijin marries Yan Yuxiao, I will let Qin Muxuan leave safely.’

“Dad.” Qin Xiaobai peered at Gu Zijin with a frown.

“Good boy. Wait for me downstairs. I will bring you and your mom home.” Gu Zijin raised his hand and stroked Qin Xiaobai’s head, comforting the kid.

The child nodded with his eyes wide open. He understood that his father tried to prevent him from hearing those harsh words.
