Zhong Yueyue came back to her sense and covered her eyes in panic right away. Then she smiled awkwardly and said, “Oh, no, never. A few days ago the power was off in my house, so I bumped into the wall in the dark.

The man looked at his watch, finding that there was still enough time. Moreover, he felt that Qin Muxuan wouldn’t let them leave if she couldn’t return the favor. In order not to cause needless trouble, he pushed Zhong Yueyue and said, “Then do it quickly.”

The man didn’t leave and only stood beside Zhong Yueyue to watch them closely, as if he was afraid that Zhong Yueyue would run away.

Qin Muxuan smiled to Zhong Yueyue, “Thank you so much.” Saying that, she pulled out some cash from her purse and put it in Zhong Yueyue’s hand while moving her fingers on the latter’s palm.

Zhong Yueyue held the cash tightly in her hand. Even though she had tried her best to control herself, she still couldn’t help but shiver.

The man was afraid that there might be unexpected problems if they talked longer, although he didn’t find anything strange in their conversation. Then he pulled Zhong Yueyue back while taking away the cash as well.

He said to Qin Muxuan, “My wife and I still have something to do, we should leave now.”

After saying that, the man dragged Zhong Yueyue away in a hurry.

As Qin Muxuan watched the direction where they had left, she instantly had a bad feeling. Something was wrong about Zhong Yueyue, and it must have something to do with this man.

“What are you doing here?”

Gu Zijin, with his hands crossed on his chest, raised his eyebrows gently and gave a smug smile.
